me and my sister booked to stay at palma bay club on arrival we were told we were staying at the sahara it was 430 in the morning and was given a stupid map to find it what a shock we were in for it was room with 2 small single beds a bathroom you couldnt swing a cat in and a window ;when we opened curtain our view was a derelict building as we were tired we slept and first thing next morning complained to reception and was told by some rude stroppy obnoxius woman called zane we had to stay put even though we had paid for a 3 star holiday and were shoved into a 1 star block we got in touch with our tour operater in england and the next day were moved to a fantastic hotel in alcudia called lagamonte it was lovely the staff were very friendly and i would advice anybody to believe bad reviews for palma and not go cos believe me they are true the area the gangs all of it is really bad we used to have to leave main part 9 as it was frightening what was going on down alleyways with the gangs of lads and maybe 1 or 2 girls SO DONT GO

We have just returned from our holiday in majorca. we were supposed to go to Palmabay Arenal
We booked palmabay on-line, on arrival we were told the hotel was fully booked and we had to go to luna park, which the receptionest said was a much better hotel.Because we booked on-line we were only going to be in a 1.star block even though it stated on the booking we were booked into palma bay 3.star. In truth Luna Park was over crowded with german louts who were very noisy, they used a megaphone to chant to eachother all day. When i complained to the hotel manager at palma bay, he told me it was basicaly my own fault,he said you only get what you pay for, and to be assured a room in the main complex book direct with hotel. We will NEVER BOOK PALMABAY OR LUNA PARK again.

Just got back from a week at Palma Bay. Was put into the Habana block, which is over the road from the main complex. Luckily our apartment faced the main complex so we were able to sit on the balcony at night and watch the so called entertainment, couldnt hear it that well as I would say they need to invest in a new microphone and music system as it kept cutting off. The downfalls of this holiday was the fact that the place is overrun with german teenagers, arriving in gangs of thirty plus every hour or two, all swigging the all inclusive lager and shorts, therefore falling around the place after having too much liquid with german flags hanging from their waists or shoulders and shouting at the top of their voices, there is one security guard trying to keep them in order but with one against so many, he didnt really stand a chance. At meal times it was like feeding time at the zoo, hundreds of them surrounding the buffet trays, messing about with the food, pushing in and generally showing bad behaviour. The queues at both the restaurant for each meal and the bar was horrific so we just gave up in the end and ended up buying our own drinks from the local supermarket, obviously going all inclusive we didnt think we would need to do this but with the amount of teenagers at the complex you dont stand a chance. Also this complex definately caters for germans and spanish, not british at all, hardly any british there, all the signs are in german and spanish. Must add that we also got bitten to death by bed bugs, absolutely covered in them and still covered, we didnt exactly know what they were until we arrived back last week and sought advice, the thought of sleeping with bed bugs have turned us all sick, we were a party of 2 adults and 2 children. A couple we met on the bus back to the aiport told us that they were in copacabana block and they had to be moved at 3am that morning as they had water coming through the ceiling and then gushing through the rooms in the block, apparantely a burst water pipe somewhere, these also said they would never return to this place. From all the british people we met which only totalled approx 15 in the whole place not one of them said they would return, including us!!

stayed in this hotel, july 2010 after reading the reviews i had a mixed opinion on this hotel, as they had been givem noth good and bad reviews, but to my amazement this hotel was wonderful. when we arrived t the hotel we where given the keys to our hotel room, we was at first unsue of where our room was as they are many different blocks of hotel rooms, we had to go off theactual complex to find our room, but this did not affect our stay in any way. our rooms were basic, they had a shower, which sometimes was cold, but we got used to it, they had a tv which played local spanish programmes, and a balcony. our bedsheets and towels were changed daily, which made our stay more comfotable. we stayed all inclusive at the hotel, and the food was delicous, sometimes the evening meal, did get abit consitant but it was ok. the drinks were nice and werent watered down. there was also a a bbq and pizza during the day. every night there was also entertainment which meant you did not have to leave the complex. the was also several pools which also had a childrens pools, there also a gym and sauna in one of the complex. the beach was very close by, only a 7minute walk there. i would recommond this hotel to families and couples as it caters for them very well.

I have just come back from a week away with my mum at palma bay, having not been away for two years i was looking forward to some fun and sun. However this did not happen, the hotel has two entertainment areas one outside and one situated in the havana building. The one outside consists of entertainment staff who dress in silly outfits and dance to spanish kids music which is there only entertainment, apart from putting on "shows" having had no entertainment me and my mum were looking forward to the grease show on the friday night which drew in a large crowd, and having watched them practice we were hopeful, but all the show was, was them miming to the shows and dancing, no acting, no talking and no real show. Our only other option was the entertainment in the havana building which consisted of a couple of games of bingo, which seemed to attract lots of spanish elders, after bingo it was couples ballroom dancing to spanish music, since i was with my mum it wasnt possible for us to participate which ended in us going back to the room and be in bed for 10:30, the hotel just simply catered for the spanish and even had excursions which were for spanish only. The food was fine not much variety but was good quality and always tasted nice. This would have been a great holiday if there had just been some entertainment, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone young or with children as there is the hotel just doesnt cater for you. I shall not be going back
- Advice: Provide more entertainment for every holiday maker not just spanish

Arrived late evening and were shocked to find that our "room", if you can call it that!", was in Sahara...one of 3 buildings off the site and down a couple of streets!! Not what we were expecting at all, no mention of this when we booked! To make matters worse, the room was tiny, the toilet was only fit for a dwarf to use and to top it off when we opened the curtains.....a brick wall 3ft away was our view!!!!! and not even a balcony to enjoy this fantastic brickwork!!!!!
So we complained and had to return in the morning. To be fair they gave us another room without too much fuss, with a balcony and a bathroom anyone over 3ft could use.The food in our opinion...IS BLOODY AWFUL!
And the all inclusive bar closes at 11pm.
To be fair to the staff they were quite helpful and the grounds of the hotel itself are quite pleasant. However, the area is VERY run down around the hotel, which is basically situated in a maze of residential streets. The place is absolutley filled with germans and therefor every cafe/bar/restaurant is geared towards them, so if you love pork, and i mean LOVE it, coz its on EVERY menu...your in heaven!
To sum up, we wont be back. But if you do go, pop into the little bar across from the palma sol bar, the guy who owns it is called TOLO and the place is fantastic. The food is great.

We arrived believing theres a soft play area for kids, but instead it was derelict. We asked why this is but they had no answer. Overall the place was good for the price you pay. The only other issue we had was the amount of elderley Spanish people there as they have no manners whatsoever.

It was our first Pensionista Vacacion and a very good one. The hotel was very welcoming, a typical Spanish hotel where the staff tried their hardest to please every guest to make them feel special. The Reception was always on hand to help and give advice whether it be about the hotel or the surrounding area. Most of them seemed to be able to speak at least three languages. It was also good to see the management in evidence every day. The indoor bar staff were very good and always had a smile or joke for us. In the restaurant the food was again typical Spanish with a wide range of good quality food which was plentiful. Again the waiters and waitresses were friendly and helpful. The rooms were good and very clean and the ladies who did the cleaning were very good at their jobs and were only too pleased to attend to our requests. The outdoor areas were always clean with plenty of sunbeds around the many safe pools. Excellent for families. The nightly Bingo sessions were mainly attended by the Spanish and the outside entertainment by the rest of the guests. Perhaps that was because we are acclimatised and found it cold at that time of night. To sum it up all the staff we encountered, and they were many, were a credit to themselves and the company they work for. We highly recommend the hotel

unfortunately this hotel/complex was not all it was advertised to be you have to walk approx 75 yards from the main hotel that is soley for the spanish to the Sahara which is like a scruffy block of flats with no all inclusive provision apart from a coke machine! rooms small but fairly clean and cleaners are very friendly.
Food ok but was limited with choice and often hot food cold. Hey ho the pizza takeway on the sea front is very nice. Advertised pizza and oriental eateries not open and make your own cheese toasties were your all inclusive snack never did have an ice cream! However met some really nice people but glad to be home.May be things might have been better later on in the season??

We have just arrived home from a weeks stay in Palma bay club,we booked to stay in this hotel, on arrival at 11am in the morning we were told we could not have room til 2 o'clock yeah that was ok although tired we hung around and when we went back to reception we were told we would be staying in a hotel down the road called Nubia what a tip it was,no reception rooms tiny and overlooked private dwellings,we went back up to reception and aked to be moved they said yes but it would cost us 5 euros per night EACH,the staff are rude and could not care less,we didnt move as we were not prepared to pay any extra............the food was disgusting always cold even if you were 1st in the queue!!!!!
I would not go there again if they paid me to,so be warned,we talked to plenty of guests who had loads of complaints, bed bugs, floods after a heavy shower and were without electricity and water for 4 hours no emergency lighting and being on 3rd floor had to feel our way down as no windows in stairwell,I could go on and on.
So if you are booked to go I would think twice and have a word with your travel agent
