Holliday was a total disaster; food was the cheapest money could buy. On more than one occasion we were served chicken wings, liver, rabbit, skate, wing tips, pork ribs and other dishes that looked to unappetizing that we didn’t even try.
The entertainment was nonexistent except for bingo and piped music. The staff had a no care attitude, every time we complained all we got was a shrug of the shoulders. The rooms were dirty and on more than one occasion we had to seek towels and toilet paper.
Outside the main entrance, the pavement was littered with dog dirt. Our breakfast was ok, lunch and dinner rubbish; therefore we ate out a lot of the time.

This hotel catered for the Spanish pensioners, so the food was for their taste. Not to our parties likening.
The rooms were dirty, towels were not changed but refolded and left on the side of the bath, on three occasions we saw cockroaches in the hotels corridors.
I had to ask for toilet rolls on two occasions.
The only entertainment on the evening was Spanish bingo, very noisy.
We did not enjoy our stay there and were glad to come home.

Whilst browsing the net for holidays I stumbled upon this review site, and had to throw in my say about the Palma Bay Hotel's and Mallorca in general.
I had booked this holiday for myself and my two children aged 7 and 8,and to be honest I wish I had never wasted the money.
After arriving at the Hotel from the airport, I was kept waiting by a very arrogant Hotel receptionist who told me my key would be ready in 2 hours - although I had arrived dead on time.
Basically I stood my ground and demanded a room straight away and I got what I wanted in the end. I am not one to pay for something and be kept waiting.
The hotel itself was rubbish, and as a few people have said, it was like a German council estate. I have met many nationalities in my time, but most there were just downright arrogant and seemed to think they owned the place.
I made a point of letting a few of these fellow 'holidaymakers' know that I was English and proud of it.
We also stayed in a terrible cramped room, which overlooked a street which looked like it was stuck in a time warp. The smell was disgusting. Also had a problem with some rowdy Spanish lads who were making too much noise at 4am in the morning and waking my children up.
Hotels like this shouldn't cater for groups of lads out for a stag do or whatever. I did complain about the noise to reception but nothing was said, so I said something to the Spaniards myself after the shouting happened for a 3rd successive night.
Obviously, I was given some verbal back which annoyed me even more, as my kids were tired and scared.
The hotel food was crap and from the money I paid I expected better. I don't want my children eating pasta, nuggets and things like that day in day out. The rush for the breakfast in the mornings was just as bad, with the Germans putting their towels down on the chairs ready for their Frankenfurters.
Drink was awful, and not all enjoyable in the compounds of the hotel. Reception was the cleanest place in the whole hotel, which doesn't bode well.
All in all, stay away from this Hotel and don't go near it. I would rather stay in a tent on the beach, which actually was a nice release from the Hotel, although not amazing.
Mallorca itself is OK, but not for kids...well, especailly the La Arenal area.
There are a few nice shops on the front, but I would never go there again as long I live.

This hotel is revolting. No shower curtain in rooms so could only have bath or wash. Food extremely limited and no vegetarian option, so my son went hungry. As the earlier person wrote, the hotel is like a German council estate holiday village. All entertainment in German. Pool area had many broken tiles and sunloungers were in short supply and ancient. Our room was tiny and overlooked very rundown building site. Felt unsafe at night, even in rowdy complex bar. ONLY go if you do pay £10pppn as this is definitely all it is worth. Awful.

This was our second visit to the Palma Bay, the first time was in April 2005. We will not be going back as it has lost all its charm which is the reason for us to book again.
The hotel has acquired a further 3 hotels which are located nearby but the Palma Bay is the only entertainment and liquid refreshment during the day until 8pm. We stayed in the Havana which is directly opposite the Palma Bay hotel and we our room to be in very poor with only 2 plug sockets (1 in bathroom and one for TV).
We had constant nightly visitors of the cockroach type and only a broken fan for air conditioning. This hotel had no security at all with open access to all areas for anybody who wish to do so day or night.
Hotel reception staff where very rude and as we say in the north “jobs worth ". In The restaurant we found very little variety in the food unless you liked pork and overall very poor which was very surprising to us as last time was very good also the children’s menu didn't exist anymore.
Fellow holiday makers where of the German / Austrian and Spanish types who are very rude, loud also do not like to stand in line for drinks or food. The drink rule is only 2 drinks per guest which is ok unless you have a child in your party which means you have to stand in line twice unless your child comes with you every time. The only good thing about Palma bay is that it is 250metre from the Beach with even though small is very good and brilliant to get that tan.
Will not be going again unless I have confirmation that it has been improved.
Rating a 3- (this is not a 3* in any shape or form) Taxi fares are different from the airport we where charges E18 which was good some English guest where charge anything from E18 TO E30 so be warned.

I have travelled alone and stayed at this hotel on 3 separate occasions. Although the single rooms are on the small side, and placed next to the entertainment area, they are sufficient for a short stay.
The hotel staff are helpful and friendly, there is a good choice of food and snacks available all day, and the added attraction of a separate adults only pool is a bonus.
The entertainment is mediocre and aimed mainly at the kids, but the choice of bars helps. It is conveniently located, only a short walk from the beach and shops. I would recommend this hotel for families, couples or the single traveller as it is good value for money, slightly higher than the 3* rating given.

Elements of this holiday were good, but the let downs were simply too much and I was counting the days until I went home. 7 long days!
My biggest complaint is with the rip-off company Fleetway Travel who overcharged me by £150. I booked online for 1 Adult and 2 children. However, when the receipt came back it showed 2 adults and 1 child. This I had not time to chase before the holiday. So, when I did have time after they said it was "impossible" to book for 1 Adult and 2 kids, also I had left it too late. Basically, they took the money and ran.
Needless to say I am disgusted with this company and would never use them again. Customer service from hell and very rude staff. I only got my tickets the day before the holiday, who knows what would have happened if the post was late. A right bunch of muppets. Steer clear!
Palma Bay Club? Very rough and ready. It is like a German Council estate has been moved to Mallorca and allowed to run riot. It was awful to be English. Stay away from this place, the Germans rule and they are happy about it. Stick to the Eastern side, it's cleaner, better run and less "occupied".
The hotel was shabby, apart from the reception. The food was poor and darn right awful at times. The room had virtually no air-conditioning at all. We ended up buying a fan to cool the rooms down, otherwise sleep would have been impossible. We demanded a room up grade on the first day as the room was so small for the 3 of us.
We did get the upgrade, so they did score points there. Also, the entertainment was good enough. I and several German counterparts got a very bad throat virus from the pools. Nice hygiene!
Basically, Palma Club is 5 hotels in one area. They were all independent and now bought up by one group. This means only one hotel has a reception. You have to go to another hotel to make arrangements. Hopeless.
Don't do this place or area. It is dire. Worst ever holiday. Never going back to the island again.

Hotel is made up of 3 blocks (Copocobana is the one with air conditioning/Hawaii near the entertainment area - can be loud/Habana - newly built with fan but no air conditioning.
There are 4 pools - 1 great for small children, 1 for adults only and 2 others. The food is good choice, have had better in 3 star hotels but the food is fine. There is a barbecue every day with chicken, jacket potatoes and pizza which is very nice. There is a snack bar open from 10am-11pm which is not really kept very clean. Everywhere else in the hotel is very clean and well maintained.
Reception staff are friendly and helpful. Entertainment team are good, lots for all ages of children to do, amusement arcades, pool table, mini golf, tennis etc. Resort is not the prettiest in Mallorca and although the beach is a 5-10 mins walk away, if you walk a bit further down the prom there is a vibrant night life if you want it. Plenty of shops and places to eat out.
Suggest the Aquapark for a day out, get children’s free tickets off the internet and get the free local bus outside Hotel Encant just down the road from the hotel or a taxi is 7euros. Taxi to Hotel from Palma airport is 18 euros each way. I would stay here again if it was cheap enough but there are much nicer resorts in Majorca to stay. May I suggest if there are 5 of you in a room to get a double standard 1 bedroom apartment if available.
The view from the balconies was of building sites as the area is undergoing a lot of building work. Overall we paid a very good rate for all inclusive and stayed here due to the price, was not disappointed with the standard for what we paid £10 pppn all inclusive through alpha rooms in June and we flew with Jet 2.

My husband and I took our 5 children ages 12, 11, 10, 7, 5 to the Palma Bay Club last year, this was our 1st taste of an all inclusive holiday. I must say how fantastic it turned out to be. With 5 children 3 of whom are fussy eaters they never went hungry, there was always something for them to eat if not in the restaurant in the snack bar which was open from morning till night.
We found the whole place clean and well organised by the staff who we found very friendly. The life guards were excellent and very alert my 5 yr old slipped out of her ring and the life guard was in before me and my hubby could even get up to go and help for this I will be forever grateful. There were quite a few groups of all male Germans who seemed to be drinking large amounts all day long but never caused any trouble and by night time I assume they'd had too much are were in there beds sleeping.
Outside the complex was not the best of views and in fact when we first arrived I looked at my hubby and said have where have we come to! But don’t let this put u off inside was totally different. The resort beach was lovely and the streets very clean and tidy, there are Africans offering "lucky, lucky" merchandise and hair braiding if you say no they don’t follow you down the street like in the Canary Islands, I found them all quite pleasant. I would go back again without hesitation.
The children’s entertainment was very good they certainly cater for all nationalities my girls know 3 songs in a language I don’t know although I gather one was about a train I made the train bridge every night I was there.

My family and I went to Palma bay club in October although the weather wasn’t brilliant the holiday its self was good.
The accommodation was very good, cleaning of rooms 4 times a week including changing bedding and towels. The food in the restaurant wasn’t that good although the snack bar was excellent. The children’s club were also excellent and I couldn’t of been more pleased. We travelled with 4 children aged between 6 & 10 and they loved every minute the children’s entertainers were brilliant and made an effort with all nationalities. The pools had lifeguards on duty all of the time even when in was raining.
I would go back to the Palma bay club without hesitation.

I would never go to the Palma bay hotel again!
It was the worst holiday we have ever had. As soon as we arrived (at 12 Midnight with 2 Very tired children) we were informed by a very rude receptionist that there were no rooms available and we were going to be moved to another hotel for the night. They had over booked the hotel by 170 people.
When we did eventually get back to the hotel we found the staff rude and unhelpful, the facilities for the children a joke (there was 1 highchair in the restaurant that catered for 200 people many of which had young children).
The food in the hotel was terrible, cold and unappetising.
The children’s entertainment was terrible, they repeatedly played unsuitable music during the kids disco (with swearing in e.g. f***).
We asked to be moved after 2 days!

This hotel is not for English people as it caters for German and Spanish. On arrival we were put in the villas, beware these are horrible, so I got them to move me into Copacabana which was clean and fresh looking.
You have to go from one part of the complex to another for lunch, this we thought was strange, no snacks open at all because it is still winter time this we should have been told when booking. Plenty to drink but once again into another part of hotel ,and if you smoke you are alienated because they put you at the rear of hotel in a very poor section where the furniture is horrible and you don’t want to sit there.
The breakfast was good but the rest of the food was rubbish very bland no imagination. Don’t book a day out with Freddy Tours they let us down on a day out didn’t let us know (they say they phoned the hotel) if they did then the hotel was at fault, but we missed out on a day tour and was not happy. We will not go there again and I advise you not to either.
