Definitely an "Eden"
from DalianEx-pat
We stayed four nights at the Eden 54 in early February. My initial enquiries were answered promptly and with lots of extra information about taking a taxi from the airport and the expected expense. Upon arrival, Ms. Ling Ling warmly welcomed us in a pristine lounge and couldn't be more accommodating...water, snacks, coffee. Our double room was charming - a good sized desk, an easy chair, a wardrobe, comfortable bed and thick curtains for light blockage. The bathroom was immaculate. The owners, Rosanne and Alfred were frequently on...

The only thing cheap about this hotel is the price
from kelly_annec28
We used Hotel Eden 54 as a base as we travelled around Malaysia, we travelled easily to Mulu, Mount Kinabalu and Brunei. Eden 54 really felt like home to us by the time we left kota Kinabalu. We trusted all our belonging would be safe whilst we were travelling. The Hotel is very new, tasefully decorated, anything you need you will find in your room. Rooms are serviced daily by the friendly cleaning staff- they were always spotless. What sets this hotel miles apart from other similarly priced hotels is the staff. Ling Ling...

12/10!
from Jed31
What can we say - Ling Ling, Alfred and James made our stays in KK superb and their hospitality was a real highlight of KK. Ling Ling really is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. Where else would you get treated like you were one of the family? We stayed a total of about seven nights over four different visits and can't rave about these guys enough. As for the physical hotel, this is excellent too and superb value for money. It is new and tastefully decorated. Rooms are comfortable with good sized bathrooms and flat screen...

great place to stay on your city trip in kota kinabalu
from Matjong
Me and my partner stayed in a comfort double room in Hotel Eden 54 for 3 nights. We really enjoyed this stay. The rooms are modern and clean. The staff is extremely friendly and willing to help you with whatever you need or need to know, they also speak very good English. There is no restaurant attached but there is a Chinese/Malay restaurant less then 1 minute away that belongs to the owners where they have nice food, there are English explanations as well so you know what you are eating. Besides that there are lots of restaurants within 5...

brandnew, clean, with lots of these small amenities
from Haesle
Due to the flyers at airport, we have chosen this place. And we have to say this was one of the best deal during our tour through Malaysia and Sabah. We stayed there for 4 days. Hotel Eden54 is quite new, and therefore all clean in Bathroom and rooms. Good smelling towels and sheets. And several hookers and shelfs in bathroom and rooms to put your belongings on. All these little small amenities, which arent a big deal, but you miss a second shelf in bathroom, if you don´t have. The curtains shaded very well..... etc. good light, if...

A blend of a family away from home and boutique bang-for-buck
from lbcheng
I travel a lot -- about 3 out of 4 weeks -- and when not on the road for work, still like to travel for pleasure. That said, my recent week-long stay at Hotel Eden54 ranks among my best stays for anywhere short of luxury-class resorts. There are plenty of hotel choices available in Kota Kinabalu, and even some cheaper, though I'd have to say anything this price and less is going to be pretty backpacker-ish. What sets this property apart is what the owners are aiming for -- a full-service, personal experience and a feeling that anything...

Cozy, friendly, tastefully decorated, go the extra mile staff.
from bumphead
If you want a clean, nice ambiance, with very comfortable beds and linens, along with a super friendly and helpful owner and staff, for a very reasonable price, this place is for you. It's in a good location, quiet but close to a big mall (just opened) and shops for fresh fruit, groceries, and a San Fransisco Coffee bar. They have great connections for tours and recreation activities and especially the owner can point you to the best places to eat, from local coffee shops to fine restaurants.
The best affordable hotel in KK with the sweetest people in the world.
from moomaa001
I wanted to stay for 4/5 days and ended up to stay 9. The lovely people working at the hotel and especially Ling Ling, make everything happen. They make your stay unforgetable. Stay at this hotel if you want a quiet, clean, good vibe atmosphere. If I ever come back, I will for sure be staying here again. They made me feel so at home, that I am sure I will miss them when I leave this afternoon.
Eden is paradise indeed
from bas035
We planned on staying one night, and ended up with four. The staff is friendly and provides excellent service. Great information about where to go and what (not) to do. The quality of the information given was actually better than the information provided by the tourist information office. The rooms were close to perfect as well. We slept in a spacious room (superb matrass), with attached bath room. Both rooms were cleaned thouroughly every day. If we would have to squeeze our brains for a negative comment, we would have to say it is...

A brand new, basic, comfortable, clean and affordable
from RudyRAmsterdam
Recently I stayed a few nights at the Eden54 hotel in KK. Eden is conveniently located near several shopping centres, a supermarket, ATM, Airasia office, etc. It is also a short walking distance from Jesselton Point, the jetty where you catch your ferry to Manukan and Mamutik Islands. If you want to stay in a affordable place, not a noisy and dirty homestay, then the Eden54 is a good choice! I paid only RM80 for a single room with a private bathroom and AC, which is about 16euros. This was even cheaper and much more comfy than the room...
