Hotel Correra 241

We stayed in the Correra for 24 hours on route to the Amalfi Coast and thought it was great. We chose it for the location - as we arrived around 12 noon, we only had the day to look around the sites and streets of the Spaccanapoli. The hotel had a room ready for us even though we were 2 hours early. (They were full.) The room, certainly quirky, was perfectly comfortable. The staff were very cordial and helpful. Hotel Correra 241 was a great option for my husband and I, since we wanted a hotel that had reasonable rates, and was off the tourist trap path. We expected very basic accomodations for the price we paid, and we were pleasantly surprised by the funky, spotlessly clean rooms with minibar, TV, and (hurray!) full bath instead of just shower. We felt like we were in a boutique hotel due to the bold colours, rooms with bathrooms on the upper floor, and hidden, second floor location in a gritty urban part of town. I stayed alone in the Hotel Correra on my first three day visit to Naples in August, 2006. After reading and hearing all about petty theft and crime in Naples, I was nervous, and did everything I could before my trip to ensure I wouldn't be a victim. This hotel is not like the ordinary Hilton or Radisson. I think it only had 1 floor, but it'll definately be one I remember for a long time after and for all the right reasons. The bedroom was immaculate with an upstairs to the room which had an extra bed (ie: in addition to the twin beds downstairs). The bathroom was of a good size. The only fault being the bath tub didn't have a shower screen so the water went everyone. we were traveling by car, all over italy and the next stop was naples. we booked correra 241 based on the reviews we read from trip advisor. when we were looking for hotel, we ended up in a very narrow street and we thought, this must be a mistake..... we saw the bright neon lights that said correra 241 and thought, it looks like a cheesy motel. when we got in, we were surprised! the receptionist took us to our room and we were delighted! we couldn't believe it. i didn't like naples, except for this hotel. the room was very spacious and... more

We statyed there for 1 night in July and we absolutely loved the place. We were travelling with our kid and they gave us a double floor room. Ground floor has a large king size bed and upstairs has two double bed. My son loved this kind of arrangement. Service was good. The only downside is the restaurant they recommended wasn't good. We found a better restaurant in Plaza Dante.

Lovely hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, spacious and brightly decorated (which makes a change from flowery curtains and dowdy bedspreads). The breakfast was good and you can take it out to the terrace and eat in the morning sun. The free internet access was also great. We had the same problem with the computer keyboard as another reviewer but the staff were always more than happy to fix it anytime we asked (it never took more than a minute to fix). Once you pass the scary gates in the scary narrow rundown street lies the cutest hotel...looks like an ikea showroom. The staff, specifically Sergio, was very helpful and friendly. Free internet was a plus when the keyboard worked, breakfast was pretty basic, a dinner roll with jam, but the patio outside was very nice. We did a few days trip so as to get out of the craziness of Naples, and did Pompeii ( in a record breaking hour) and the island of Ischia to visit the thermal waters in a resort called Poseidon. A gorgeous hotel in the middle of a dirty city! I dont know why anybody would want to go to Naples, but if you are like on a budget like me and your client refuses to meet you anywhere else, then stay at this hotel for sure! The front desk is extremely helpful, jumping to browse the internet for any of your 'hard questions' and very good with it. This is a great hotel to stay in Naples. The staff are very friendly. Rooms are colourful with cool lighting(very modern) and look much better than the photos depict on various websites. Bathroom was very clean with new fixtures and fittings. Free internet access in the lobby is a real bonus. Breakfast is basic, rolls, jam, croissants, yogurts. Naples is a crazy city.
