Hotel Condor

Stayed a week at this hotel from 13 May to 20 May 2007.It's in a great location,just a short walk from centre.Our room had small balcony with great sea view,and a great sun rise in the morning! Breakfast was good,Continental style,which suits us fine,it's served on lovely terrace with sea views.Staff were very friendly and welcoming. For a 2 star hotel it far exceeded our expectations,great value for money.Would recommend it and would stay here again,Taormina is such a lovely place!

This is a very friendly family-run place. Everyone goes out of their way to please and be helpful. English is readily understood, especially by Katia, a charming bundle of energy and good humor. Our room (@ 90EU) had a small balcony and a view of the sea. It also had a view of the surrounding residential area which was interesting but not beautiful. We spend Easter's weekend at the Hotel Condor this year and we had a wonderful time. It run by a family and the Staff are very friendly and helpful giving us directions and information, they also booked for us an excursion to the eolian islands that I really reccomend . The rooms are bright and clean with a beautiful view of the sea. The breakfast was served on the rooftop with a great view, it was good (bread rolls, cookies, crackers, muffin, fruitjuice, cheese, ham) to be continental and the coffe smells so good!! Spent 1 night in April. For paying cash, we were upgraded to a room with a view. As there was something not quite right with the bathroom, we were upgraded again to a room with a balcony - amazing view. We left our car at the hotel's parking (extra 10 EU) which was very convenient. The next morning we planned to leave Taormina right after visiting the Greek theatre so we took out the car - we were advised by the front desk attendant to leave the car and walk there (15 min. lazy strolling), and to spare us the hassle offered us his own... more

Great staff - very friendly and helpful and always a smile. Goodish breakfast (bread, jam, coffee, juice, biscuit) but at this price i don't expect to have to pay for cereal and extra coffee. Did we gat the worst room? I was quite disappointed - rather 'eighties' and a dampish bathroom. But other reviewers seem to disagree with this so maybe we were unlucky. Car park belongs to someone else so you have to pay - again, i wouldn't normaly expect to have to do that but it was very near (2 mins walk). Location very good - 5... more

We had a memorable stay at the Hotel Condor. Our room had a balcony with fantastic views of the ocean and the town. The room was quiet, bright and nicely decorated. We even enjoyed a beautiful sunrise from our bed! We ate breakfast on the roof terrace of the Hotel. We were served fresh bread, fresh squeezed juice and great coffee. Katia was very personable and took care of us as we needed to leave very early one morning to catch our bus to Messina. And all of this for a very reaonable price. In the future, we plan to stay there!

Hotel Condor is a family run hotel which gives you the atmosphere of being at home. Staff are extremely friendly and they help you to plan your holidays along with the beautiful sightseeings around Taormina. Value price and quality is the best, well balanced. What I like the most is to taste that delicious capuccino on the balcony terrace overloooking at the impressive Etna. Unforgetable experience.!! Alicia-Barcelona-Spain

My partner and I spend a week at the Hotel last week, we had found the hotel to be just about perfect. The location is wonderful and the views from the sun terrace are amazing. , the hotel is small but the rooms a surprisingly large, bright and very clean. The staff are very friendly especially Katia and they all speak English too. The food was of a high standard and the portions were large enough to satisfy even the largest appetite. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and the prices are very reasonable.

I think the first thing that "got me" was the hotels location, right in the center of Taormina. We parked the car and walked everywhere. Then the FOOD, oh the food.... the hotel is a totally family run operation and mamma cooks, she greets you with the cafe latte in the morning and makes sure you are set for the whole day! I have never eaten such spectacular food and the hotel only cooks for its guests! We stayed at this quaint, clean hotel for four nights during our trip. Hotel staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was simple but sufficient for the money. It was served on a wonderful terrace overlooking the great views of the sea. Rooms were basic yet clean and airy. Great location for the town and a must has to be a trip up Etna to see the lava flowing. Definitely the highlight of our trip. Don't bother paying ludicrous prices from travel companies based in Taormina. We just drove there (fab. views all the way) and paid... more
