Great Hotel, great location
We enjoyed our two nights, the staff was lovely---made sure everyone knew of the water bus strike the night before so we could make other arrangements---the breakfast was great, rooms comfy, and the location perfect. We did have difficulty finding it--but this was completely our error and just added to the fun of arriving in Venice. I would stay here again and recommend it to friends.
Perfect Location and Hotel
My wife and I stayed at this elegant hotel for three nights in April. A perfect location with good clean rooms. The breakfeast was a perfect way to start the day and it offers free high speed internet in the lobby. Look no further for a stay in Venice. I would stay here again with no reservations and would highly recommend this classy hotel.
Just what I hoped for
Our first stop in Italy was Venice and Hotel Campiello. How wonderful to arrive and have reception recognize us by name! We arrived in the early evening and had no difficulty finding the hotel. It was everything we had hoped for and more. Staff were exceptional, especially Francisco, who always recommended great restaurants. Our room was beautiful with great bed and bathroom facility. Loved the towel warmer. We had a private entrance that looked out over a small piazza and courtyard restaurant. Very pretty. We love traveling the... more
A wonderful stay!
We stayed for 4 nights in a quad suite (2 adults, 2 teenagers). The suite was reached from an unmarked door on the 2nd floor up a winding staircase to a sort of attic. It consisted of a living room with sofabed (not incredibly comfortable as per my kids) and a bedroom (separated by glass doors) with bath. Also had a short staircase up to a rooftop balcony (view of roofs and chimneys only). Decor was very Venetian, lots of gold and ornateness, but a bit worn, with a few cracks in the walls. The standard rooms seemed a bit better kept up.... more
Affordable and wonderful hotel in Venice
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights on a 3 week tour of Italy. The location was so great and the staff were really nice. We got off the Vaporetto from the train station and it was right there. The streets of Venice are confusing and we were so happy to easily be at the hotel after a long day of travel. It is right next to the Danielli... the 5 star hotel.. and right around the corner from the Piazza San Marco. We payed 103 Euros in November with an 8% cash discount. We were in 9 hotels in 3 weeks and this was one of the... more
Excellent Location
We finished our Italy vacation with three nights at this hotel near the end of October. They put us in what appeared to be a "mother-in-law" type room that was outside the main lobby and down the street a couple of steps (I think it was the "T" room). But, we found it quiet, comfortable with a nice sized bathroom. It was only a few steps from the Grand Canal and almost right next door to San Marco Square. The Square and surrounding areas flooded making for an interesting time compounded by a lot of tourist. However, it was an excellent... more
great location
We stayed at the Hotel Campiello for 2 nights during October. Our room was large by Venice standards. The friends we were travelling with had a smaller room. The hotel was well appointed, bathrooms were large enough and the breakfast was good with yogurt, pastries, rolls, meat and cheese and cereal. The location was fabulous!! A couple of tips: When you get off the vaparetto at San Zacharia, there will be a resturaunt with a burgundy awning. Go down the alley to the left of the awning and the Hotel is on the right. Expect... more
Great hotel and location
My family and I stayed at this hotel July 29/30, 2004. The staff was terrific and the rooms very comfortable. Things to love: the showers, the big beds, the free internet access, the location, the privacy/security and the price. Breakfast is also pretty good. I would definitely stay here again.
Great Hotel

Great Location, Nice Rooms!
My friends and I stayed at the Hotel Campiello on May 23 and 24, 2004. The hotel is in a great location, right near the water bus and near the Piazza San Marco. It was very easy to get to and to find! Our room was small, but decorated very nicely. The bathroom was small, but very, very clean. The hotel staff were very nice and recommend a great place for lunch - Rivettos - it was little expensive, but definitely worth it. Oh, the hotel had a small elevator, which worked just fine. The breakfast was like the other hotels I stayed at: meats,... more
