Hotel Caesius Thermae & Spa Resort

We expected at 4****s hotel but we found ** holiday !!!! The hotel is new but without any atmosphere. The location is to far from Bardolino and to go to down town it's 45 minutes walking !!! Take the own car it's a problem to find parking in Bardolino .The hotel has a bus with 8 seats every 30 minutes but with 400 guests is a truble !!!! The Pools are nice but the hotel ist too big and crowded the hotel has about 200 rooms !! The Service is ** , the staff is not helpful and you feel as number not as guest... more

We stayed at the hotel for two weeks with our two year old child. We wanted to stay in a hotel with all the comforts including nice restaurants now that we brought our little daughter. We booked the hotel back in April. Overall we liked the hotel, but the lack of good service from almost every employee - espicially the staff in the reception - made us angry several times. I posted a review after staying at the Caesius last year, echoing other posters' comments about what a marvellous place the hotel is. We had such a brilliant time we had to go back, and what a transformation! The new buildings, and especially the pools, are unbelievable. The same excellent service, the same wonderful food but the garden and pool area is out of this world and moves the hotel into a different league. My only fear is that this place will become so popular that I may no longer be able to get the bargain deals... more

What a treat! This is without doubt the best hotel we have ever stayed in. It is stylish, immaculate and efficient. The room was lovely, air-conditioned and well-appointed. If you're on a diet - forget it! The restaurant never failed to provide us with superb food - 4 courses every night. The staff are wonderful, helpful and polite. If you visit, go to the spa on the lower floor.

Hotel Caesius was brilliant, we had a fantastic time. The hotel is kept lovely and clean, the rooms are large with everything you need. We were on the ground floor and had a terrace with a table and chairs outside. You don't need to take towels as even pool towels are provided in your room. The pools are fantastic, and there is so much room, we swam every day and there is a smaller pool with buttons to press all around it with different types of jacuzzis. Spent May half-term here with husband and 2 children (7 and 14). We have never stayed anywhere like this before! Had booked a suite and a bit worried about building work being finished, whether it wolud be cramped for 4, or have good beds for children in lounge area, but needn't have worried as it was huge! All mod cons (towelling robes, slippers, bag, umbrella to get from our building across garden to restaurant, shampoos, 2 showers, bath, hairdryer, pool towels, 2 tvs, fridge etc). We stayed for a week at the Caesius in May 2006. There were 9 of us on a family holiday, with an age range from mid 20's to late 80's. The hotel had just re-opened after major refurbishment and it was a wonderful place to stay - much better than any hotel I have stayed in on a package holiday. Pool area is good, indoor pool and sauna etc are really well designed and relaxing. We had massages/facials too which were also well delivered and not too pricey. we arrived home wishing we stayed longer first class hotel

Arrived home from this hotel yesterday and felt i just had to write and tell everyone how wonderful this hotel is. The hotel has only just been finished, with lots of new blocks of rooms and a pool that is out of this world.Our room was only a standard one but it was one of the best we have stayed in, with bathrobes and slippers, pool towels and a bag to carry your items to the pool.(the pool was only finished 2 weeks ago). My boyfriend and I stayed half board at this hotel in August 2005 and loved it. We normally don't like staying half board because we prefer to eat out but the choice was fantastic. You have waiter service to your table and can eat lunch or dinner and the food is literally as nice as eating out. We still ate out quite a bit and there is a good choice of restaurants and some bars in the main town centre which is around 20 minutes' walk from the hotel.
