Definitely worth it!!
I love finding a good deal! This place is right on for the money. The rooms were beautifully decorated and clean. The staff were friendly and actually went out of their way to help us when we arrived very early in the morning before check-in. It's a little far from all the main sights but don't let that be a deciding factor here. Venice is small and half the fun is getting lost! The hotel is very convenient if you are arriving or leaving by train.
Outstanding
Having spent over 4,000 nights in various hotels, I am very picky. Ca'Dogaressa exceeded every expectation that my wife and I had. Great neighborhood, close to train and vaporetto, extremely friendly and courteous staff, and phenomenal rooms. I can't imagine staying any other place in Venice.
Little Gem
Wot a perfect little hotel. We just got back from Venice on the 20t of Oct. This hotel was a pick after reading reviews of it on this forum and they were right. The rate was resonable and the hotel simply perfect. The room was decorated in the venetian style with lovely chandeliers. the bathroom had heater in it, which was a blessing coz it was cold in the mornings! It is a little far away from the main attractions but we didnt complain, coz it was nice the quiet, no large crowds and no noise. it is 10 mins walk from the train... more
A Lovely Little Quiet Hotel That Exceeded Our Expectations
My husband and I just returned from Italy, where we stayed four nights at this hotel. I cannot say enough about how wonderful it is! We had a suite with large windows facing the canal, which was fantastic. The room was very large with a comfortable (firm) bed, a seating area, and a lovely tile bathroom. It was very elegant and a big surprise considering the relatively modest price we paid (for Venice). We needed air conditioning the first few days, and it was perfect. The room and bathroom were kept spotless. Daniele, who manages the... more
Wonderful Hotel
I booked this hotel for my Wedding Anniversary after reading the excellent reviews placed on Venere and then on Trip advisor. I was slightly worried as I wouldn't usually book a 3 star hotel and the photo of the hotel did not look promising. I was wrong to be worried. The hotel was wonderful. The room ( a superior double)was beautiful and even though we had no view to speak of it was still a pleasure to come back to after a long day of site seeing. If I went back to Venice I would definately stay here again and would up grade to a Canal view... more
What a little gem!
This was as near perfection as I could imagine. On the Canneregio canal this small newly furbished hotel offered peace and comfort in a quiet, yes QUIET area of Venice. Breakfast by the canal watching the local tradesmen in their boats and locals about their business was a world away from the crowds of San Marco. Our room was a good size with traditional Venetian decor and a marble bathroom. The staff were friendly and the locality (near the Ghetto) great to explore. Add a 10minute walk to the railway station and what more could you ask.
Great hotel in a great city
We had a very pleasurable weekend at the Ca' Dogaressa. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is within 10 minutes of the train station but it is very quiet. The nearest water bus stop is a 2 minute walk. We would definitely stay at the hotel again when we return to Venice.
Molto bene
We stayed 4 nights in Ca' Dogaressa late february 2005 and we had a wonderful time there for 70€ a night. Very calm location where you'll meet more venitians than tourists. Very clean and nice rooms (although we did not have the better ones facing the canal). Very charming welcome from Daniele and the rest of the staff. Breakfast is not very large, no bread but a fresh croissant everyday, in summer you can even have it by the canal.
Loved this Hotel...
Ca'Dogaressa is a hidden gem in Venice. Near train station, but far away from all the craziness of the Grand Canal. Rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was brand new and big by any standard. Easy walking distance to everything and not overly priced. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and will stay here again if I return to Venice.
Ca'Dogeressa is fabulous
The Ca'Dogeressa is outstanding. The room overlooking the canal was huge and unbeleivably decorated. The staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The location is good, near a stop for the vaporetto and a 15 minute walk to Rialto bridge.
