Hotel Bucintoro

My wife and I stayed here for a long weekend in Venice, booked at a great price via lastminute.com. In common with many smaller hotels, it did not have a restaurant, but with hundreds on your doorstep, you can understand why. It is a 7 - 10 minute stroll to St marks square and the hotel has just been refurbished and is in lovely condition. We have just returned from a 4 night stay at the Bucintoro and like some previous reviewers, were a little sceptical due to the lack of reviews on Trip Advisor. The Penthouse suite at Hotel Bucintoro is without a doubt one of the BEST available rooms in Venice! Located right on the waterfront, the hotel is about about 3 walking bridges from San Marco. My husband and I, who for the most part stay at 5 star hotels in the USA were completely awe-stricken by this hotel. after reading the trip advisor reviews i was sceptical, but i was seduced by the pictures on the website, and being newly renovated i thought i would take a chance - very good decision. its a perfect boutique hotel offering a 5 star experience - from the incredible view, quiet location, very friendly staff, great breakfast and attention to every tiny detail... bathrobes, slippers, a writing desk with printed stationary and a huge shower + bath! this was heaven after 30hours travelling from australia. i woke up in my cosy bed to birds... more

This is a lovely hotel,staff were friendly & helpful.Made to feel welcome.great location.Nice resteraunts nearby,nice view from room.Room was just perfect.Hotel was easy to find in a city thats easy to get lost in.Located just 50meters from a waterbus stop it couldnt be anymore convienient.Its close to st marks square but away from the noise.

I totally agree with the last review by weekender52. We were hesitant about staying here because there were no recent reviews for it on tripadvisor and thought the hotel website might be too good to be true! But it wasn't! The rooms and hotel are exactly as pictured! I couldn't fault our stay here at all. The rooms were spacious, decorated to a very high standard, luxurious and very comfortable. I have to say that this a great hotel. This hotel was recently renovated and it looks great. The rooms have wooden floors and the bathrooms are great. Every room has a great view. The service and staff is excellent. Everyone was always very helpful, they made reservations at restaurants for us and they booked us water taxis. The breakfast the hotel served was delicious. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone that goes to Venice.

I could be tempted to keep this boutique hotel a secret just for myself, but word will get out soon! It is quite possibly the best small hotel In Venice. With views that some 5 star hotels would die for and service that matches. Staff are helpful, discreet and unintrusive. Great place to stay. Newly renovated with beautiful marble and onyx touches. Service was first rate: friendly, accomodating in every way, and professional. Location is on the grand canal and waterfront rooms are quiet. I plan to stay at this hotel again.

This hotel is brand new, and a wonderful experience. The rooms were decorated like the inside of a yacht. We went with another family, and had an entire floor to ourselves. Our bathroom was done from floor to ceiling in Onyx, the others on our floor were red marble, and green marble. Our room overlooked both the Canal, and the bridges.
