Stayed at the Paraiso for a long weekend. Apartment very well equipped and spotlessly clean. All the staff were very efficient and friendly. Nice pool with quiet terrace which was nice for us with no kids in tow!!!! About a 10 minute walk into the main area of Sa Coma. Would definitely return. Went to the beach one day and were charged 27 euros for 4 sunbeds and 2 brollies; needless to say we stayed around the pool after that. Can't say we had any memorable meals but had a couple of good nights in the Outback and Kings Head. Salvatores was the best for drinks, absolutely HUGE measures of Gordons gin and Smirnoff vodka with jugs of freshly squeezed organge juice. I would imagine food to be very good here because the snacks we had (omlettes, salad, etc ) were lovely.

Just arrived back from Sa Coma. We spent one week in these apartments and I have to say I was impressed with the standard overall. The rooms were plenty big enough, clean and well equipped. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool was rather small and not much chance of a sun lounger unless you got up at 7 to throw your towel over one!
We only ate once at the Paraiso but what we had was quite good. The entertainment was poor, not enough people stayed round the place to make it work really but 10 out of 10 for the entertainment girl who really did try hard.
The beach was lovely and there was plenty to do in Sa Coma, just a word of warning - do not buy the fresh pineapple from the sellers on the beach, 10 euros for a slice is daylight robbery!
I would definitely recommend Sa Coma, we had teenagers with us who loved it! Definitely would go back and for longer than a week to explore the island more.

We have just returned from a fantastic week at the Paraiso Apartments and can't fault the hotel at all.
It was immaculate, fresh and well equipped with more than we needed and the hotel cleaning staff were prompt, efficient and friendly when we bumped into them.
The reception staff were so friendly and helpful that we left them all our excess Euros when we left the hotel and told them to go for a drink on us! They went out of their way to arrange trips and transport when we asked them and the check-in was quick and a great welcome to Majorca.
The pool was chilly to get into but warmed up quickly, and despite the odd Magaluf-stray behaving rather rowdily, we couldn't get my 2-year old nephew out of it! Fantastic views of the sea and the pool area from every room meant everyone gets the same for their money and you can watch over your kids downstairs in the pool.
Watch out for the sunbed-reservers at 7am though who lay their towels and then aren't seen again until mid-afternoon. Not fair at all.
The waiting staff were great, the food in the dining room was wonderful with a large selection every night from the buffet dinner from fruits for a starter to chicken, fish, burgers, chips, vegetables, carvery etc. and ice-cream, cakes, gateaux, mousse and more fruit for puds.
My whole family (I travelled with my parents, partner, sister, brother in law and nephew) were thrilled to bits with the hotel and staff and we would recommend Paraiso to anyone looking for comfort and a relaxing holiday quite literally a stone's throw from the beach.

Great hotel very very clean tidy, food very good, staff very helpful, accommodation very roomy. Resort, very nice beach, is beautiful. Picture postcard. Stunning views, clear blue water.
Plenty of eating places, JJ’s very good, and kings heads too. Not much of night life in way of bars as most of the resort is for eating and then nothing later on, apart from the kings head which does karaoke and bingo most nights and some nights has tribute bands on but can be very repetitive. Water park okay, but a distance from the resort.
Careful at some eating places, we had a paella one evening, which normally comes for 2 when ordering, this was not explained on the menu, so it cost us 30 euro for 2 people, which is expensive, and the waiter liked to pick his nose in public. Um very nice.
The men played golf out there, very good, highly recommend Alcanada, Pula and Canyelmel, but not Capdepra.

Just returned from a week in these apartments, and can confidently say you will thoroughly enjoy staying here. All 7 of my party agree its one of the best holidays we have been on.
I don't usually review things, but this really deserves it. The apartments are clean (towels every day, bedding trice a week), big and spacious. Kitchen has everything - kettle, microwave, toaster, pans jugs (useful for sangria!!) and everything else you will need.
They are well located - 3 mins to the beach which was beautiful. Also many shops, bars and restaurants to chose from, though the nightlife was more family orientated. Still, we found a couple of places to keep us entertained - mainly britannia bar and kings head.
Snack bar in the hotel was cheap and tasty, big portions. Didn't bother with meals as there are so many places to eat at anyway, all of which were quality food, and excellent value for money. The white Lion is amazing - go to www.aboutsacoma.com for map etc.
Pool was quite small, though there's loads of sunbeds around it an it never seemed that packed, so don't let it put you off. Besides, the beach is so close, you will want to spend any free time there as we did.
One thing that stood out from this holiday, was how relaxed everything was. Most holiday destinations have become tourist traps; people constantly trying to sell you goods, and bar/restaurant owners dragging you in their places to spend money. Not here - it seems unspoilt and not over commercialised - yet still had everything. I could praise this place for hours.
I will definitely be returning here again - hopefully soon.

My husband and I visited the Paraiso for the second year running along with our two daughters. The hotel is great. The rooms are large and well equipped plenty of space for everything. We never ate in the hotel, it’s too expensive and the food did not look that good. There are so many other places to eat that you don't need to stay in the hotel.
One great place to try is Bar Poker. Owned and run by an English guy and his Spanish wife, the food is well priced and extremely good. Be prepared to sit on the road though! The beach is 100m away, and probably one of the best beaches you could ask for. Nearly always a green flag day and plenty of room to sunbathe.
The Spanish come down on a Sunday, so it can get a bit busy then. If you want something tasty and cheap for lunch try the bakers (almost opp The Brittania) the guy who runs it is brilliant and you can have most things in a roll/sandwich. All the staff in the hotel are nice and helpful, particularly Micheala (that’s not how you spell it in Spain) on the reception, she is so helpful and full of information and good advice.
We are going back next year and have already booked. It’s a great hotel and a great resort. It’s safe, good for families and you don't get loads of drunks hanging around, like a lot of places. For a good drink in a nice bar try One for the Ditch! Under the hotel, run by John. My husband reckons they do the best Guinness around, the vodka isn’t bad either!
The entertainment in the hotel is totally rubbish and the pool is not the best. But with a great beach and so many places to go, you don't need either of these. Don't let that put you off it’s a great place to go, you will enjoy the hotel and the resort.

Just got back from Sa Coma after staying at the Paraiso for a week. I agree with the other reviews that the hotel was well equipped for self catering, it was kept clean and the staff were very pleasant.
There was a problem with the pool being fairly small and quite full at times and there were a lot of kids hurling balls around in the pool even though the hotel rules forbid ball games. I am not being a spoilsport but my youngest is just learning to swim but found it difficult while trying to dodge all the footballs etc. There didn’t seem to be anyone there to stop them. As with all hotels you still get the sad people who get up really early to reserve the sun beds then go back to bed only to return later in the day to use them, so when normal people get to the pool at a decent time they cannot use the poolside beds because there are towels over them. My wife had to talk me out of throwing the darn things in the pool and using the beds. We were at reception at 6 30 am this morning waiting for our coach and two men were already there, bleary eyed, reserving their beds, (very sad).
As for entertainment, what entertainment? The last night we were there they had a karaoke night and there were about half a dozen people sat around. The compare got a bit fed up in the end especially when none of them wanted to sing. Other nights included bingo in front of about 15 people, a magic show, and the best night was on Tuesday when they had some Caribbean dancers, but all in all, pretty pathetic really, especially when the German hotel around the back had really lively entertainment with good crowds. Bet they wouldn’t expect 200 people to turn up at that hotel to just play bingo.
As for the food at the resort. Didn’t eat at the hotel, there didn’t seem much choice, just like the entertainment.
We always try to eat in a different restaurant each night and then vote on our favourite one to go back to on the last evening. We went back to 2 restaurants this time though and they were Antics and BiBaBo which is next door to Antics. Both served good food, decent portions. and good price although BiBaBo won our overall vote for their service and the fact that my two daughters got a lolly each and my wife and I got a glass of schnapps at the end of the meal. Simple touches but they make a difference. Another one to mention was the China City restaurant down the bottom of the main road.
The set meal for 5.25 euros was good value and the kids got a lolly, the wife got a wooden Chinese fan and I got the bill, which was very reasonable for a 3 course meal for 4 with 2 lagers, 2 cokes and a dry martini with lemonade, costing 36 euros. J.J's do a nice English breakfast, but we would not eat at the Happy restaurant again, my wife’s pizza was very greasy as was my breaded pork steaks. The Brittania inn has also had some good reviews on various websites but my wife’s lasagne was luke warm, the desserts were microwaved and overdone and the service was terrible, unless you like your plates being thrown onto the table and when we questioned one of the waiters whether we were eating apple crumble or apple pie, he went to find out but never returned. So we gave that a miss for the rest of the holiday.
All in all, despite its name, Sa Coma is quite a lively resort (along with S'Illot) with lots of places to eat, plenty of shops, a good beach if you like crowded beaches and big waves, and good hotels, but pick one with good entertainment if you like that sort of thing and want to spend your evenings at the hotel. Unfortunately, Paraiso has not got anything to stay in for in the evenings, so find your fun elsewhere.
We were asked if we would go back to Sa Coma again, and the answer is no, because the world is too big to keep returning to the same resorts year after year, but if we are ever in Mallorca again we might hire a car and go to BiBaBo's restaurant for another good meal.

Having read other reviews of the Paraiso Apts, I was looking forward to a good family holiday and that’s exactly what we got.
The apartments were clean and well presented with good attention to detail, which can make a difference. The staff were very friendly and always, without exception, gave their service with a smile and they mostly spoke good English.
We didn’t try out the restaurant as we thought it to be expensive, as it turned out we regularly could eat out for about 30-35 euros. The entertainment was a bit patchy. During the day, pool, water polo, table tennis, kids activities and darts could keep you and the kids entertained but at night the vast majority of guests seemed to go out of the hotel, whether this was down to the World Cup being on, I can only guess but this meant events such as bingo, quizzes, karaoke and shows were being either poorly attended or cancelled altogether, which was disappointing.
The apartments/hotel has a brilliant location! 2 minutes to one of the best beaches that I've seen on the Med. Clean, shallow waters not totally crowded but busy enough. Pedaloes were good value at 10 euro for an hour, there was the banana boat and plenty of glass bottom boats that could take you to allsorts of places for all lengths of time and not too pricey either.
Eating out wasn't too bad price wise, but perhaps there wasn't a great variety of menus amongst the plenty of eating places. Basic pub grub was the order of the day unless you tried the local paella and other seafood’s (not my cup of tea).We did try the China City Chinese restaurant (the third one down from the apts) and found the menu of the day great value for money, although avoid the chicken and chips on the kids menu, which looked like scraps and off cuts. We went twice to Antics for dinner and it was very good the first time and very averages the second time and the service was quite poor. Out of all the places we tried the one that consistently came up trumps was The British Baron. Not the most extensive of menus but the service was good and the food even better. They know how to fill a plate! Another restaurant to get pass marks was Juan’s Steak House, good quality and excellent service.
When you go shopping, for the best value go to the supermarket at the corner just past the tobacco shop and across the road. They seem to be a bit cheaper than the many Spars that are about, although the Spar do sell some lovely fresh cream pastries!(yum yum). All in all the Paraiso Apts are an excellent choice for a good value, relaxing, enjoyable holiday which can be based around the pool, which was also excellent, and the beach.
If you are booked up for here and are reading this, have no worries, you will enjoy it! A couple of wee tips to finish with: ask for an extra card for your room to keep the air conditioning on whilst you are out and get your towel down early at the pool, there are plenty of loungers but the blue ones are the best ones to get.
All in all a great family holiday, we will be back!

Wendy, Martyn, Lucy (16) and Chelsea (12) . The apartment was spotless with everything needed for a self catering holiday, even free TV. The staff were so friendly from the reception to the cleaners. The bar staff made a point to get to know you and were very friendly. nothing too much trouble thanks to barman Miguel...what a star!!. As the complex is small all the guests get to know each other and we made lots of friends very quickly, Hi to Tom and Cath, Jim and Les etc etc.
The kids have got email addresses from all over the UK. Entertainment was ok and we won bingo a couple of nights. sunglasses men in black and also Dubois ohh la la!! even became Ideal Couple 2005!! ha ha. The beach was only a couple of mins away, the sea was warmer than the apartments pool!! the beach was very clean. Ask others where to eat, some restaurants not too brilliant! Food from the bar was very good. The Pirate show is a must!!! expensive but worth every cent.
The Thomson rep was visible most of the time, although we never needed her, she seemed very helpful and friendly. The rep, Karen who took us to Pirates was lovely and very informative, made the journey enjoyable. Excellent holiday loved every minute, will definitely go back again soon. Thanks to the Paraiso staff. Lucy sends a big kiss to Miguel (barman).

We arrived on the Monday and on the Friday night whilst we were in our room sleeping someone came into the room and stole my husbands hip bag, which contained a small amount of money, sunglasses and a digital camera. We reported it at reception when we noticed what had happened the next morning. Hotel were NOT interested at all neither was the Thomson rep.
They all kept saying no-one could have gotten into our room because they were all credit card type keys, well I can assure anyone reading this someone most definitely DID come into our room and steal our stuff whilst we were sleeping in the very same room. We were told to go to the police station and report it if we felt we needed to. We then had to find our own taxi to the police station which the rep said was in Cala Millor, she was wrong we had to go back to Sa Coma to do the report, which cheesed me off even more.
No-one ever uttered the word sorry, in fact it was not even discussed when others were around, obviously they wanted to keep the whole incident quiet. My husband however told everyone who would listen all about it.
This aside the hotel was very clean and tidy. The waiters etc were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The entertainment was mmmmmmmm 2 out of 10 this was mainly due to the chap who unfortunately was more interested in the young girls than anything else.
We only ate in the restaurant once and that was for breakfast for which we paid about £32 euros, it was a lovely breakfast, all you could eat buffet style, however there were far cheaper and just as nice breakfasts in the resort itself.
We found lots of things to do, hired bikes, caves of drach, boat trip, bus rides, safari zoo etc etc, which we organised ourselves at a fraction of the price.
The food at 'The Britannia' pub (English food) was excellent value and it tasted great, 'The Peking Duck' (Chinese restaurant)was excellent taste/value too. <
