Holiday Inn Express Molins De Rei

We made the reservation online through Holiday inn.com and paid approx. 100euros for two nights for three people can't go wrong with that.. Parking was included as well as the complementary breakfast. The hotel is out of town and close to the highway. We had rented a vehicle so it made it perfect for us as we visited Barcelona in one day and left on the highway the next day for the next Holiday inn Express in Zaragossa (see other review). The good: The room was very good. The bathroom was the best we had in Europe. The breakfast was excellent. The bad: It was a fair distance (about 1 mile) from the train station. I wouldn't walk it alone at night!! There is no reasonably priced food in the area. The ugly: Our group of three young women got stuck in a bad area of Barcelona late at night (after the trains were finished running)and we managed to call the hotel for help getting a ride. They refused to even call a taxi for us or to help us know where... more

We stayed here when we were driving from the south east of Spain to the UK. It was only about 15 mins from the main motorway (5 mins from the motorway into Barcelona). However.... I didn't like the look of the area, it just didn't appear that safe and the hotel was on the fringes of an industrial estate. Other reviewers have stayed for longer, so I am maybe wrong. The hotel itself was fine, clean and a good breakfast. The staff were pleasant and spoke good english.

lWe stayed a total of four days. It so far from anything. There is no restarant in this hotel, From the train station it is such a far walk. Especially with luggage. The only good is that there is a supermarket next door to the hotel. But if there using the metro don't forget to get a Zone 2 pass. It allows you to get into the city. The T10 cards is good. We originally booked this hotel because it was inexpensive. We were a little worried at first because it wasn't in the city and we figured "how nice can a holiday inn express" actually be"... When we got there we were blown away. This hotel is beautiful, it is spotless, the rooms are cool and trendy and it is a short and very accessible train ride from the city. Breakfast is included...
