Hilton Molino Stucky Venice

We have just returned after 4 nights at this amazing hotel. As a Hilton Honours member we were upgraded to a room on the executive club floor with a great view of the canal and Venice. The room was medium size and decorated in italian style, and it was very nice with a big bathroom and a flatscreen TV! On the executive club floor we had acces to the lounge, where they served (free) drinks and snacks most of the day and we also had complimentary breakfast buffet, which had a large selection to choose from and the food was very good.<br... more

In Venice this hotel offers the space and comfort which I craved after walking through the narrow streets. Swimming pool is a bonus. Arriving in Venice : The quickest way around 60mts i.e,, is by bus to Piazzale,de.Roma and take route 82 to G.Palanca. DO NOT get off at ANYOTHER stop... otherwise you will suffer with luggage and bridges. Fro Palaca straight walk to hotel. Noice pollution is high. Meaning.. you hear deep breathes and sighs from next room..... not ideal if you stay with children.. Venice is IDEAL for couples.. leave... more

We decided to take the water taxi from the airport, and although worried about the cost of 100 euros, this really was the most convenient (and beautiful) way to arrive right at the hotel front door. The other ways meant taking a land taxi (for around 60 euros) and then a vaporetto or the hotel boat, or the water bus from the airport into Venice and the changing for the hotel. As an upgraded property, some external construction still ongoing but this will absolutely not impact your stay in any way. This is a beautiful hotel with free water shuttle service to and from Piazza San Marco. The front desk staff were very polite and I would definately stay here again.

Stayed here at the end of June for 2 nights on a HiltonHonours points rewards stay. We have stayed in Venice before with the family, but decided to have a 2 night 3 day break on our own before the school holidays started. We knew the hotel was new and expected the odd few teething troubles, however despite one or two the whole place was fantastic, with some truly excellent staff. Just returned from this amazing hotel. All the staff were great, especially Guissipina, the concierege on the executive floor. She had the best recommendations and treated us as family. The room was beautifally appointed. It was clean and large with many wonderful features. The executive lounge had a large variety of foods and drinks and was open until 11:00. As Hilton Honors Diamond Members we were upgraded to a suite overlooking the Canal of Guidecca. The room was breathtaking and very large. They provided a rollaway for our son at no charge. The hotel itself is simply beautiful and lives up to its billing. Certainly worth the four year wait for the opening. The current management was brought in from the Rome Caviliari (which is the finest hotel in the Hilton Family for sure). The Executive Lounge in very nice. The staff are friendly and helpful. Walking into the hotel my first thoughts were 'Wow' what a beautiful place. Check in was easy, the room was comfortable and outfitted nicely. But it went down hill from there...the service was awful. Ordered from room service and an hour later called to see why it wasn't there..the excuse 'Oh sorry we took it to the wrong room so didn't deliver it to you, do you still want it?' We had a marvellous 4 night stay in a very quiet top floor room about 3 weeks after the hotel opened.(I had requested a quiet room.) Okay there were a couple of teething problems like the messaging service waking us up at 2 am but all in all we loved the Hilton Molino Stucky. Our room had spectacular views over to Venice and although smallish for a couple with luggage for a fortnight we were extremely comfortable and slept well. A true five star hotel? Not really if you are not able to enjoy the comfort of your room. I visited the hotel recently and I had sleepless nights and mornings due to the noise comming from next door room. It was so incredible loud that at one point I was convinced that it was a hole between the walls. When I knocked the walls I realized that they were not proper walls, no brick ones but sort of wood material ones...what a pitty.
