Heritage Av Liberdade

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights at the end of October and had a lovely stay. The room was large and the bar and reception area great for a pre-dinner drink. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and friendly - special thanks to Sam! The location is great - walking distance to anywhere you want to go within Lisbon (although it is a small city). Don't hesitate any longer - just book it!

We completely enjoyed our stay. Our room was spacious with high ceilings. The decor of the room was modern and the bathroom was impeccably clean with up-to-date design. We would definitely stay there again. The staff was courteous, though not overly friendly - but since they weren't sleeping in our room with us ... we didn't care.

While I did enjoy my 2 night stay at the Hotel Liberdade, my stay at the Solar Do Castelo definitely overshadowed my experience with this property (both hotels are owned by the Heritage Group). Upon arriving to Portugal I stayed my first 6 nights at the Solar Do Catelo which was wonderful (also provided post for this hotel). We stayed at the Heritage on Avenue Liberdade for 3 nights ad have to say that it really made our stay in Lisbon Perfect! The hotel is boutique-so for those people anti big chains you will love it. We had room 44 which was a twin room (beds pushed together made a double) and we found to be quite big. The room was very modern with a DVD player, flat screen TV. A tremendous amount of thought has clearly been put into the design and the amenities in this hotel and this, together with the friendly and helpful service provided by staff, meant we had a wonderful start to our touring holiday in Portugal. Our room was stunning - spacious with windows stretching across two sides letting in lots of light and allowing us to view Lisbon. We have just spent 3 nights there. The location is perfect, in easy walking distance from the main attractions. The staff is uniquely friendly, helped us in every possible way. Our room was very cosy (not the popular, but boring and useless minimal style) and clean, the bathroom was large enough and surprisingly everything worked in the proper way (had bead experience nowadays in other hotels in Europe for double the price). We booked 5 nights direct with the hotel, based on the great reviews we had seen. I had plenty of email contacts with hotel and they seemed helpful and friendly We negotiated a great rate with the hotel so that was a good start The room was great, nicely air conditioned (the two ants we found we assumed had just come in from the heat outside) and although a standard room was spacious. I went to Lisbon on my own for my 30th Birthday. Just a short trip to see a new city and clear my mind of the daily grind back in NYC. I choose the Heritage based on reviews posted on TripAdvisor mainly. I cannot stress enough what a wonderful find this hotel is. From the simple, tasteful and elegant design to the warm service, it is tops. I stayed in room 30 (get it), which had two twin beds. I didn't mind this at all as the room was quite nice. I was supposed to stay at sister hotel to Av Liberdade, Lisboa Plaza but they were overbooked so i got transferred to this wounderful hotel. Location is great, 10 min walk to Bairro Alto, 5 min to Rossio square, located on Avenida Liberdade where all the designer stores are like Armani, Luis Vuitton if you are interested in these kind of brands.
