Panoramic Apartments

I thought someone should provide a more balanced review of this hotel. My wife and I stayed at this apartment hotel May 2010 for a short weekend trip away. We were originally booked into its sister hotel the Maritimo but due to double booking there was no room at the inn. We had booked, well requested a sea view but since there was no mention on the booking sheet there were none available. The person on the desk in the Maritimo was polite and courteous the thing at the Lux Mar (which provides the front desk service for several building) was as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike. So we are off to a not very good start you would think. The room we were allocated had a balcony overlooking the pool area and the furniture and decor was what could be expected. The rooms were clean as were all the utensils, toilet, etc. The room was cleaned most days and the cleaning staff were pleasant. We did not use many of the Hotel facilities apart from the pool, luckily sun was out and it was lovely in the sunshine, most of our time was spent visiting the festival in the old town (would recommend and it is on weekend starting 6th may 2011). There were a few young groups around the pool during the day but they never got out of hand and we never heard any noise at night. This is a cheap and cheerful hotel which is perfectly placed for those who wish to be close to the Old Town. You cannot expect to pay pennies and get 5 star service also most young people have limited finances and therefore tend to look for the cheapest available accommodation so if you want to avoid them did deeper into your pocket if possible or else take your chance.
