Covo Dei Saraceni

We stayed at the Covo for 2 weeks on our Honeymoon. Hard to find a more romantic location - sitting on the terrace restaurant under the stars with Nicola serenading us on the piano every night was heavenly. We stayed half board and the restaurant menu didn't change much during our stay so we pretty much ate our way through all of it - and it was all excellent. Very good wine list too. Covo has got to be one of the most beautiful and romantic hotels we have ever stayed at. Our room overlooked the ocean and the view was spectacular. All the pictures we had seen of the Amalfi coast were brought to life right off of our balcony. Our room was spacious, clean, cool and comfortable and the dining room, where we ate a spectacular breakfast every morning, overlooked the sea it is completely glassed in for panoramic views. Our 4 night stay in this hotel on the Adriatic, in September 2005, was great. We had a suite with a very large terrace that included a hot tub, table and chairs, and a million dollar view. The bathroom includes a deluxe shower with water jets shooting every which way. The town, barely mentioned by the guidebooks, is quite charming with lovely views of the azure Adriatic and is a good base for exploring northern Puglia including Alberobello and Locorotondo. My family and I just stayed at the COVO for a 3 night stay from August 5th - August 8th. I booked a junior suite which was very big and had a very large terrace. The view from the balcony was amazing. I have a family of 4 so we needed a large room. The rooms and the hotel were not exactly a Ritz Carlton, but this is Italy and most of the hotels are much older. The hotel was very casual and very clean. Spent 6 days at this hotel w my wife and 2 teenagers 2 weeks ago. Wonderful location, directly on beach, lots of resturants and shops nearby, big rooms, and hotel staff could not have been more helpful. Wonderful views from everywhere and boats to Capri and other towns along the Amalfi Coast outside your door. My only complaint was the resturant which we ate at 2x. We stayed at this beautiful hotel early April 2005, which is off season but still it was absolutely beautiful. The staff was of tremendous help and very gracious/professional. We stayed in a Suite w/balcony and the view from our balcony was breath taking! The room itself was very comfortable and beautifuly decorated including a great bathroom with seperate shower and jacuzzi tub. We stayed at the Covo for 5 nights on our honeymoon and we had an amazing time. We booked a junior suite, expensive but definitely worth it if you feel like splashing out, the views are to die for. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the location of the hotel couldn't be better. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel to everyone and hope to make it back there one day ourselves.

We couldn't be happier staying at Covo Dei Saraceni. The Hotel is fantastic, located on the best possible spot in Positano, just in front of the Marina. The rooms are terrific (we stayed at room 56 with a small terrace and an amazing view of the sea). It is worth paying for a sea-side view. We also visited some other hotels as well, we liked the San Pietro very much but it is not in the middle of town. A freind recomended Covo and glad we took them up on it. We ended our honeymoon here after stays in Paris, Rome, and Sorrento. So a couple of days around the pool was perfect. We chose a jr suite and it was pricey but worth it. A big but not real fancy room. A large terrace with a table, two chairs and two deck chairs as well. We loved it. The staff was excellent. The bathroom was huge with a jacuzzi tub and seperate multi-spray shower. It may not be Le Sirenuse but we had a great time.

In June of 2004 my wife and I spent 3 weeks in Italy. We stayed at 5 Star hotels in Florence, Rome, and Venice, therefore having a valid basis of comparison. By far, our most enjoyable stay was at the Covo Dei Saraceni in Positano, where we spent 5 glorious nights. Our room, a suite with a private deck and pool, was magnificent. The views of the beach, the wharf and the sea were beautiful. The hotel's staff was outgoing, helpful and courteous.
