Centrum Hotel

I recently stayed at the Hotel Centrum (www.centrumhotel.net) during a visit to Nicosia to attend a conference (and visit some museums!). I learned of this hotel from the conference organizers. Other attendees to the same conference stayed in the nearby Holiday Inn and were almost unanimously disappointed in it. This place is located superbly, right in the heart of Nicosia but sufficiently off the street so as not to be too noisy. I can't say I was overwhelmed by the quality of the hotel but it was fine for a stay of three nights. When I first arrived there was a nasty smell in the room which was eventually deodorised. The room was big and comfortable with plenty of storage space. The TV selection was poor. Also breakfast began at 7.30am which is never much good if you have an early start. I would go back again. Excellent location, staff, breakfast, room. Decent business room. Tremendous value for money given the prime location. Very nicely maintained property overall. Quiet, even though it's in the old town (we have a rear facing room, recommended.)

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights while in Cyprus to visit some friend and do some tourism. The location is ideal to walk around the center of the town. It is very convinient that the parking is next to the hotel allthough another parking which is located 5 minutes walk cost 0,80 CYP for 24hours. The rooms were clean and big enough (we were 4 and shared a family room ) and there is free internet wi-fi access throughout the hotel. Breafast was nothing big but it was ok to start your day. We would definitely stay there again!

We stayed at this hotel for one night whilst travelling around Cyprus, it was excellent value for money, very clean and staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel location is ideal for eating and shopping. One tip the car park states that you have to pay 24hrs but staff at the hotel told us that nobody checks between 6pm & 8am.

This is an excellent and very reasonably priced hotel in the centre of Nicosia. The room was large, simply furnished, but most importantly of all was a) had a comfortable bed and b) had an air conditioning unit in the room. Breakfast was a very good buffet, and the hotel had a nice bar, free internet access both in reception and in a business centre on the first floor. I heard about this hotel from Cypriot friends, when I was searching for a centrally located hotel, being completely dissapointed from Holiday Inn. I booked there and I have already visited this hotel 3 more times. The main advantages: the perfect location, the bed size, the really clean rooms and bathrooms. Although a bit noisy hotel, especially if you have a room at lower levels, the so low price per room makes it a top selection. We liked the Centrum best for the quality of the owner and staff. They were all very helpful and assisted us with our every need. The Centrum is located in a great spot with shops and restaurants all around. The Breakfast is great, with a wonderful selection of foods. Free internet. Standup shower/bathtub. Nice size room. We would definitely stay here again.
