Centara Villas Samui

Really gorgeous grounds and the layout of the bungalows is lovely. We were a little disapointed with the interior of our supposed Deluxe Villa (i.e, it didn't look like what the brochure said!), but that said, it was lovely and private. We could have danced about naked on our balcony & no-one would have seen!! The pools are wonderful & the staff all very friendly. We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights. We had switched from another hotel - so initially we were not happy that there is also construction at Centara Villas Samui. That being said, the construction did not take much away from our experience. It's mainly fenced off and the noise levels were sort of continuous and low, perhaps not annoying as it would be with a hammer and drill or something. This is a lovely resort! Centara Villas Samui is the ideal place to loosen up and get lazy…! We stayed a week and it wasn't nearly enough. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the food - for all meals is excellent. The selection, freshness and taste was superior to many restaurants we have eaten at. From the moment of checking in we were treated like royalty...lounging on big sofas, feeling the sea breeze, lush tropical gardens, welcomed with smiles, cold towels, flowers and a fresh coconut to drink.... we knew instantly that this is going to be a very special honeymoon. My husband and I visited the Centara Villas for one week during August. The weather was very hot and humid. The accomodation was individual villas set into the tropical garderns of the hotel and overall the level of accommodation was good. The rooms were cleaned thoroughly every day. The semi outside bathroom took some getting used to (no one can see in or out of the bathroom but you can hear the other residents as they walk past). Very cosy and laid back resort with very friendly and attentive service. Rooms are quite spacious, comfortable and clean. The beach is not so nice this time of the year - you can see the reef & rocks. I was told this is because of low tight and in winter this is not the case and much nicer. But our kids loved the place, especially the pools and of course the attention they received in the hotel from all the staff. I cannot say enough about the level of service. The Central Samui village seems as if it used to be a 4/5star, but is now in need of a touch up. Despite this, we had a lovely stay. The beach is nice, there are three pool areas and the room was clean and comfortable. It is the perfect place to go if you want total peace and quiet (so not for those wanting late night clubbing, although it is easy to get to Chaweng if that's what you want). We definitely picked the right hotel! Having seen lots of the other places we considered, none looked quite as peaceful as Centara Villas Samui (the previous Central Village Samui) We stayed for 7 nights at the beginning of August as part of a longer trip. After the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, the Central Village Samui was the perfect place to relax in perfect surroundings. The grounds surrounding the resort are beautiful, gardens, the pools, the beach and the sea.
