Enjoyed Casa Anita!
Our stay at Casa Anita was so enjoyable, and very relaxing!! We had come from a large resort and were spending our last three nights in Puerto Vallarta at the Casa Anita. It was very cozy and "homey." When I first walked into the room, it took my breath away--the colors!!! Everything, from the bedspread to the kitchen tiles, was so colorful! We had a lovely small balcony with a BEAUTIFUL view of the water. The small kitchen was well-equipped, and the bed was so comfortable. We both slept very well. If you want a large, fancy room... more
Over-Priced and over-rated
Nice views but that's about it. very noisy from the highway below. hotel had a sewer smell when we there. Lots of noice eminating from hallways and other units. not a very pleasant walk to the beach along the garbage ditch by the highway. very tiring having to walk up all hill to the hotel and then up all the stairs, expecially on hot, humid nights. Much better deals closer to town.
loved the place
we enjoyed Casa anita over last new years eve(05) and cannot say enough about the atmosphere and friendliness. One immediately gets the sense of being a local thanks to the inside info provided by the semeyn family. the place is clean and the service is prompt. We loved the view from Corona 6 especially for the fireworks on new years . Bill's excursions to sunday brunch and the lobster feast along with his conversations and love for mexico and its culture is something you just don't experience at the Holiday Inn . He even saw us off at the... more
Great Location
We returned from staying at Casa Anita on March 14th, we had a great time. It's nice to have the kitchen and living room space as we were travelling with our two year old and her babysitter. I have to agree that the rooster is somewhat annoying at 1:00 a.m. however he gives the visit charm. I stayed at the Casa Anita 5 years ago and he was across the street then. It is something to talk about, we spent time plotting his demise. The location is great as we were within walking distance to the Blue Chairs beach and the clubs. The Malecon... more
Casa Anita ... great accomodations
Have just returned from a 2 wk trip to PV ... (Feb. 19-26th) .. we stayed at place called Casa Anita (www.mexdev.com). Casa Anita is located right above "old town". It is an 5 min. walk to the beach via the stairs that can be found in many locations. Casa Anita offers many different types of accomodation (suites to 3 bedrm penthouse) .... because of the dynamics of our group, I got to view a suite, a 2 bedroom, and also the 3 bedroom penthouse. Each one of these accomodations were very nicely furnished, had beautiful patio's with... more
really great
We stayed at casa anita 22 from feb 10 - 24th 2005 The service was great and the accommodation was better than expected Plenty of towels. including facecloths. Even the bed linen was changed every second day. Maid service was prompt, and well done. We were at the highest level of 136 steps. My husband is 70 years old and had no problem negotiating the steps. (even though there was only one handrail - which I did not see as a problem. We found the hill and the steps as a forced exercise program. We ate everything we... more
Ups and Downs
Summary: Casa Anita’s fantastic view, edge-of-town location, friendly staff (except one) and cheerful decor were countered by incessant noise, windows that admit inclement weather, construction hazards, a dangerous road with no safe place to walk, steep hills and numerous stairs. Details: Our stay at Casa Anita was a series of ups and downs, literally and figuratively. I rented A-20, a 500 square foot suite at the top of the hotel. Casa Anita is just a few blocks from the beach, restaurants and shops. Unfortunately, the... more
Had great New Year's week at Casa Anita.
Very spacious and clean condo. Staff friendly and informative. Beautiful vista of the bay from the balcony. Definately recommed to those looking for true Vallarta charm within walking distance to the beach and heart of the city...
Loved Casa Anita
For someone who has travel alot , since i work for the airlines, i was very impressed with the suites at casa anita and corna del mar. Not only was the suite huge, and a the lowest cost compared to similar hotels, it was clean, bright, and had lots of amenities. such as many items in the room such as blender, coffee grinder, many asssorted glasses, full size fridge and stove. It was great to bring friends over and entertain since it was quite large and had i would say the most beautiful views of the bay de bandaris. I really enjoyed the... more
Great View & room, needs A/C & elevator
The room was great, bathroom large and a well equiped kitchen. My husband and I stayed a week in October and enjoyed everything about the hotel except there was no A/C. We had a ceiling fan and the staff gave us another room fan and they were very helpful to us. The other thing the hotel needs is an elevator. Our room was 136 steps up. We were told this in advance and normally it would not be a problem but my husband had a bad knee at the time. The location is great, close to beach, shops and plenty of great restaurants. Who needs a... more
