Casa Albertina

We stayed here one night in February. It was only one night because aside from some Carnivale fun, there was not much to do and only one restaurant open nearby! But the hotel was luxurious, with a great view from the terrace. It was super clean and comfortable. It just was hard to find- a fact made worse by our terrible Italian skills. The only problem about our stay was that it was not long enough! We searched and searched for the perfect place to spend one night in Positano and Casa Albertina was not our first choice but due to the time of year all of the other hotels were closed. This worked out to our advantage because we absolutely loved our stay. The reception was warm and welcoming. We were there during January. Very low season. We had a balcony room that was spacious and had a great view of the beach and town. It was a great room to enjoy a bottle of wine in the evening on the balcony. Breakfast was good, breads and pastries mostly. We did not dislike any thing about the hotel. The staff was pleasant. We stayed in Casa Albertina as it is one of the few hotels that stayed open during the low tourist season in winter. Once I entered the room I was already sold. We got a spacious, well-equipped room with a wide balcony overlooking the town and the main beach, though we are a little disappointed to be placed on the corner of the 2nd floor which limited our sea view. I cannot say enough about this hotel and its staff. From the minute we arrived to when we left we were made feel so welcome. I had pre-booked a room for three nights, but on arrival discovered that I had booked for the next month. Fortunately for us there was an available room and the fella at reception couldn't have been nicer. He even apologised for my mistake. We had a gorgeous room with a fab view over Positano. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. We spent a little extra for a room with a balcony, and it was well woth the few extra bucks! The hotel is in a great location in Positano, and there is a great restaurant just steps away (inexpensive, incredible views!) There are lots of stairs, but that is with everything in Positano. And I am glad we stayed in Positano rather than Amalfi.. it just seemed a little more quaint. The staff were helpful, and although the rooms are not too remarkable, they suited us just fine. Lovely room with doubled doors that open to your own balcony with a breathtaking view of Positano, water,etc. You feel like you are in a movie. Good breakfast(on an outside balcony if you choose). I would recommend this hotel to anyone ( as long as you can climb steps - which was part of the charm). It was beautiful !!!

Amazing views and exceptional service are what can be expected at this small hotel in Positano. Lorenzo was extremely helpful with suggestions as it was our first visit to Positano. We were there in March and it was cold one evening he even picked us up from dinner. "no trouble" Claudio was pleasant every morning at breakfast which helped set our mood for the day. We spent four nights in this hotel and loved it. The view from our room, #34, was fabulous. We had a balcony and could sit outside and enjoy the magnificent scenery. The bathroom was great and the room very comfortable and well appointed. We loved the breakfasts and all of the staff were so helpful and welcoming-especially Lorenzo. Almost everything about the Casa Albertina met or exceeded our expectations. A small and gracious hotel where the staff responded to all our needs with alacrity and charm. We arrived, famished, in late afternoon and merely inquired where we might go for a quick snack -- our host himself swiftly placed us at the gorgeous outdoor dining terrace and brought us a lovely assortment of cheese, prosciutto, tomatoes, bread and wine, although the kitchen was not even open at that hour.
