Charming
from lmgreen
We spent two nights in this well located but quiet area of Venice that is 1 stop on the vaporetto from all the action of San Marco square. Our first room wasn't well located just off the lobby but our mild complaint brought us to a room on the top floor with a view of the grand canal and the Salute church next door! perfect. The breakfast room is intimate but we found it to be charming with a nice but not extensive selection of continental breakfast items (no hot food). The suites that we looked in on were quite amazing! Overall, we...

Divided opinions

This review is a difficult call. On our third visit to Venice we were ready to stay out of the hubbub of San Marco - previously we had stayed at the Danieli and the Bauer. From the previous feedback on this site the Ca Maria Adele sounded like it fitted the bill perfectly. So first the positives. Location is great but only if you know Venice well or prefer to be somewhat out of the action. The decor is interesting and well executed. even if the curtains in our room fell down on the last morning! Front desk staff are helpful. The bed was a...

Nice in many ways, but our room was like a closet
from A TripAdvisor Member
We felt getting to the hotel was a hassle and would definately take the water taxi the whole way next time instead of the waterbus. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was fantastic. Our room was the smallest in the hotel and we should have asked for another, however it was very clean and cool. We overlooked the side of a building, but it was quiet. It was kind of a hassle being on that side of the canal. All and all, the staff made up for what lacked in other areas.
Charming, unique, best location in venice
from A TripAdvisor Member
We stayed in the Ca Maria Adele after reading the review in Mr and Mrs Smith, Europe. I found it to be really lovely and unique. The location is really exceptional. Only one stop away from San Marco but on the opposite side of the Grand Canal so a million miles away from the touristy atmosphere. All you can hear from your room are church bells and lapping water. You can lose yourself in the alleyways around, it has a very quiet feel about it with lots of lovely artisan shops around. It was my favourite spot in Venice. We stayed in room 226...

absolutely perfect

What a perfect place to stay. Just returned a few hours ago from my first trip to Venice and I felt I must add a comment as I had gone by the reviews on this site to book the Ca Maria Adele in the first place. What a great choice! We arrived on a late flight and I emailed ahead to let them know we wouldnt be there till nearly midnight, immediately receiving a lovely reply advising how best to get to the hotel and that they had a 24hr reception. We arrived just as the heavens broke and were glad that the dash from the Salute vaporetto stop...

Fantastic Location!
from A TripAdvisor Member
Stayed for three nights 12-15 August and were greated with very frendly and helpful staff. The room was recently refurbished with a subtle blend of the period features of the hotel combined with a sharp contemporary feel - emphasised by the large en-suite area. The hotel is brilliantly positioned, only 10 minutes (by water bus) from the main areas of the city, yet quietly away from the hustle and bustle!! We were a little nervous about getting to the hotel from Marco Polo airport - use the Alilaguna water bus service from the...

Perfect hotel in beautiful city
from RichieG
Beautiful small hotel in the most beautiful city in the world. Perfect location as other reviews say - away from the immediate tourist hustle and bustle yet only one stop on the vaporetto from St Mark's. Travelled with our two kids - ages 11 and 7 - and stayed in a quad suite. This consisted of a hall area with wardrobe space and leading off this area a main bedroom with bathroom, second room with sofa bed for the kids and a terrace area (with comfy chairs) looking out to Salute. Cannot fault anything about our stay, one of the best and...

Loved it!
from JAP25
A stunningly beautiful interior makes this hotel a little gem - a haven of peace and calm from the bustle of Venice. We had booked a deluxe room - but they upgraded us on arrival to the Oriental room - which was stunning. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. A previous reviewer stated that the hotel is somewhat on a limb - and that is true - but the advantage is that there are some great restaurants within walking distance and so we didn't find the location a problem in the evenings. We loved it and would...

A great hotel......
from juliejoy
For our 3rd visit to Venice, we chose the Ca Maria Adele. Our choice was based on the strength of the reviews and its position - we were not disappointed. We were there from the 22/6 to 25/6 in room 226. The room was great - nicely decorated, very clean and very comfortable. Views from the room are good with a view of the Basilica Santa Maria della Salute, the canal & bridge to the side of the hotel and additionally the Guidecca. The owners were very friendly and welcoming also the staff were friendly and helpful at all times too. We always...

Look no further for a stylish friendly & convenient Venitian hotel!
from denbydaler
A 'hidden gem' and yet on the doorstep of the tourist sites. This hotel offers real style, truely friendly & helpful staff in a part of what I would term 'real Venice'. Just across the grand canal (1 vaporette stop) from St Marc's square, it is in a quieter part of town with an equally friendly 'local' bar just around the corner. The vaporette stop of 'Salute' is about 50 ft from the hotel but you don't get the usual noise from the Grand Canal because it is set back just slightly from it. Alternatively walking the short distance to the...
