Ancasa Hotel Kuala Lumpur

Luckily this hotel is very centrally located in Chinatown. The hotel busboys seemed to care more about socializing amongst themselves rather than helping us with our clearly heavy suitcases. The lobby and dining area on the ground floor were nicely decorated. But our room and floor was shabby and dark. There were tiny bugs coming from the floor drain in the bathroom and the bathroom door didn't close properly. Good hotel very close to chinatown! Very good breakfast!

I stayed at the Ancasa hotel KL for 3 nights in July. There were 3 of us staying and we booked a room to cater for 3 adults, which they said they could accomodate. When we arrived we had the pokiest room that could barely accomodate 2. The sheets were dirty, the fridge did not work and the bathroom was horrible. They stuck a roll-away bed in the room. stayed at the ancasa while on honeymoon in langkawi we thought wed stay in k/l overnight bad idea! picked this hotel from website late rooms looked great in photos and description got there to find that 1st we had been over charged then we didnt even have a resevation finally got a "superior" room as booked which smelt of cigarettes, the windows did not open, we had no bath which apparently all superior rooms come with, the bathroom itself was disgusting and when we looked at the beds we had dirty sheets!!!! we asked reception to change to... more

The Impiana KLCC Hotel was the old Holiday Inn in Kuala Lumpur after it closed for 4 years.The hotel just opened 3 months ago and they're are still building some of the rooms and other facilities(no sound of the construction though)Positives about the hotel? Amazing location and views; just 4 minutes walk to the Petronas Towers. FREE Broadband internet, a great surprise and I hope they start a trend for all other hotels! Good hotel next door to Chinatown. Pleasant staff, good size rooms, however, some little renovation would be needed soon. Great breakfast. Basically, good choice for reasonable amount of money in good location. Good set of amenties

We stayed in this hotel in January 2006. We walked in off the street, got a decent discount on their published price, and were very happy with what we found. Positives were an immaculately presented room, with excellent shower, and a superb breakfast buffet. Negatives were slightly slow check-in, and no pool or gym. Location is great, right on the edge of Chinatown, and only a few hundred meters from Pudaraya bus station. This would be the perfect choice for exploring KL before setting off to explore the rest of peninsular Malaysia.

We stayed for four nights at Ancasa and we have nothing to complain about. Rooms were excellent for the price of under $50 and the breakfast buffet was excellent. It is situated at an intersection with a bus terminal and local trains within short working distance. Taxis outside the hotel are much cheaper than the once arranged by hotel,and usually cheaper than public transport for famillies (they have no problem fitting 5 of us). Arrived early after a flight from Brisbane. Room was poorly presented - sheets and towels were shabby and the bathroom wasn't clean. After we complained a small army of housekeeping staff arrived and everything was sorted out. There weren't any problems with the housekeeping for the rest of our stay. The restaurant provided good value meals - buffet style with both Malaysian and international food, however the bar didn't have any wine to sell by the glass. Not to recomend, 30-40 min time just to check in, booked rooms not availeble. stop in toilet two times so we had to change rooms. Not so professional staf
