Marina Hotel

Simple but very charming hotel with excellent location on pedestrianised seafront and view to die for. Different types of room but we had a suite with a small bedroom with double bed and cupboard. Lounge diner adjoining with settee converting into two single beds - reasonably comfortable - not just bits of foam. Small kitchenette with fridge. Airconditioned. Tiny balcony overlooking seafront and harbour. The best hotel view I have ever had - at any price! Perfect for either people watching or watching the boats come and go. Breakfast - buffet style with very wide choice. You can sit outside and breakfast in the sun and to the sound of the sea. The location has an attractive "local" character without any traffic noise. Mainly Spanish and Euro holidaymakers. We were there in August and the resort was lively but no rowdiness. Very good value. One problem is that many restaurants tended to stop serving at 930 - 10 which is unusual for Spain. Highly reccommend the Sangria bar nearby - try the Cava Sangria but watch out as it is deceptiovely strong. Also hire a pedalo and pedalong around the yachts - to peek at how the "other half" lives. Long, curved,narrow beach - got crowded in Augst but OK. Book a sunlounger and umbrella early. very convenient car park at rear. Initially difficult to find so ask Hotel for instructions in advance. Good pool at the back - bit of a suntrap.
