Lovely Little Hotel!
from A TripAdvisor Member
My sister, my daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of May. We all agreed it was the nicest place we stayed during our holiday. It was very convenient for the train station, the grand canal and the vaporetto stops but still managed to be a quiet retreat at night, especially having walked miles every day! We had a triple room with private shower room. The room was a great size and the towels were changed every day, which was a bonus and the beds made. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was great. <br...

Great find, wonderful stay!
from honeyinmytea
This hotel exceeded our expectations. I couldn't believe it's only 2 stars, because it was better than some 3 star hotels we stayed at in Italy. The room was only an average of $100 a night (very cheap for Venice). The proximity (steps away!) to the train station means not having to lug luggage on boats; the rooms were bright, clean, cute and colorful (IKEA furnishings!); the shared bathroom (there are some rooms with private ones, though) was enormous and also clean. We had a fantastic balcony with beautiful purple flowers, too. Staff are...

Very good location, helpful staff
from QVQ
Fabulous location right near the train station, so really convienent for people with numerous luggage & short stays, and don't mind walking / using boats to see the main sights. Very friendly hotel staff with coherent english helped out with the heating system (at first i thought there was none but then realised the magical switch near the entry) and directed me with a map completely marked out to the best but cheapest florist & hairdressers oh and the main sights! The room was really clean and quite spacious considering the...

Loved it!!!
from clayandtt
We spent three nights here and loved it. We were on the first floor, and were surprised at how very quiet it was. Sure, the street below was kind of noisy during the day, but after around 10:00 or 11:00 pm, it was very quiet...my husband said it was almost like camping...could be the lack of cars in Venice. Great shower...excellent water pressure. Breakfast was okay, enough to get us through until a late lunch. Great location...so convenient, especially when you think about how difficult (by foot) or expensive (by cab) it is to...

Small room but adequate; rather noisy.
from JoeBlogg
We stayed in this hotel after stopping in Rome and Florence. We were relieved that it was very accessible from the train station. We were given a twin room as requested (210), but its location by the stairwell was a disaster. The stair treads were embedded into the wall at one end and every time someone walked on it, the wall acted as a sounding board. A couple of people with heavy steps sounded like a herd of elephants! Another minus was the smell in the bathroom. Every hotel has its own whiff, and we thought nothing of it when we arrived....

Great Hotel but no lift
from grenadier
We stayed at this small hotel for 2 nights during the February Carnavale celebrations. The hotel was an excellent location near the train station, water valporetto stop, and the first foot bridge to cross the grand canal. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful during our stay. They seemed to know who we were and hand delivered a fax to us during breakfast. The breakfast was adequate in the quaint little breakfast room with plasma tv which had olympic coverage during our stay. The room was nicely decorated with newly...

Good hotel close to station
from A TripAdvisor Member
On our last night we stayed at the Agli Artisti hotel, which is very close to the train station - useful for our 6:30am train! However a 30-40 minute walk to San Marco square... For our first few nights we stayed in the heart of Venice, very close to San Marco square. I recommend this closer location if you want to make the most of Venice by foot. If you are happy to hop on and off water taxis each day (10 Euro each for unlimited taxis), it probably doesn't matter. The hotel was friendly, giving us coffee after we checked in early,...

Would stay here again if I get back to Venice
from NZ Cat
I spent three nights here with a friend for my birthday. I picked this hotel because it was the cheapest I could find in Venice itself that had received decent reviews on Trip Advisor. Great location, easy to get to by train, bus or water ferry. Also it meant there were always signs pointing back to ferrovia (near hotel) so we couldn't get lost. Staff were friendly and spoke English. The room (312) overlooked the street but with the shutters closed it was quiet. We didn't spend much time in the room except to sleep but it was very clean...

Could not do enough for us.Outstanding service!!!
from kuwaithammer
I was extremel happy to find the hotel just a stones throw from the train station.......this would prove an added bonus as we had stuffed our train tickets completely ,but anyway. We were greated by three smiling faces that had superb english.I had not put my bag down before i asked if we could store our alcohol in there downstairs fridge....."of Course" came the reply. It needs to be said that this hotel has had some major upgrades, each room has a picture from the artist KLIMNT ,who is the wifes favourite artist and has has...
