Afroessa Hotel

We selected the Afroessa due to its location, after some research on the internet and on the basis of positive reviews on Trip Advisor. We were very pleased with our choice and would definitley stay there again. The location on the edge of the caldera is breathtaking, the views are magnificent. Forget about expensive restaurants with views of the sunset, just sit on the terrace outside your room or by the pool! Words are not enough...... My hysmant and I was there on Jun and we arrived on the Island at 7AM. I still remember the silance, the image of Caldera. The hotel has 10 rooms but very cleen and situatted on 5 flors. The pool is on the first floor. You can swim and watch the sunset. The guests are friendly, they can help you when you need. george...thanks!

hi. we just came back from an amazing week in santorini. we booked afroessa based on the reviews and I am really grateful for all those who wrote the reviews. the place is simply great. the view is stunning, swimming pool amazing, room is clean, the place is so so peaceful. all rooms have execcelt view and private terrase. the pool has a little bar where u can relaz in the shadow.it's a perfect place if u want to relax. imerovigli is high on the cliffs which was just perfect cause it was a bit windy and colder than the rest of the hot... more

You really can't go wrong with this hotel. It's beautiful, well-maintained, and well-mananged. It is located in Imerovigli, which between Fira and Oia (but much closer to Fira). It's far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the towns to feel relaxed, but close enough that you can be in a town within a few minutes. There are several nearby restaurants, the best of which I thought was Skara. The pool area is incredible. The pictures don't portray it well, but you can sunbathe looking out onto a stunning landscape. One... more

My husband, 13 year old daughter and I stayed at Afroessa for 4 days in early August. The location is quiet, the views spectacular, the rooms are extremely clean, and the service superb. There is enough in the little kitchenette (electric stove, fridge, pots, pans, plates etc) to manage breakfast at least. There are grocery stores nearby. The hotel also offers breakfast which we did not try. The sunset views from the hotel are the best, don't waste your evenings in crowded spots in town, just come to your own balcony. We stayed one week at Afroessa hotel in Imerovigli. This was our honeymoon trip, just the two of us. We knew beforehand that Santorini would be a perfect place to enjoy your honeymoon and we found Afroessa hotel at the Internet after we had long compared all the other hotels too. Afroessa was after all the best, if we compared the location, view (in Santorini the view from the hotel is important we think), rooms & equipment (for example air condition) and also the price. I dont know words to describe our vacation in afroessa. everything was perfect.the view take our breath away from every spot of the hotel.the rooms are very tradiotional, clean, comfortable with fantastic view.Gianna & Mike make us feel like home with their hospitality.Everything was perfect the pool the balconies the hotel!!!!We look forward to come back in september!!! My daughter and I came to Santorini on June 24, and walking through the door at the Afroessa was breath-taking. I was delighted to have had Mike greet us at the top of the entrance and he took wonderful care of us from the time we arrived until our departure 5 days later. Just returned from an art trip to Santorini. Afroessa was in the perfect location! Great views and quiet. No tourists, no crowds!! But, great restaurants and grocery stores were within easy walking distance. Be sure to eat at Skaros and ask for "Big Mike" as your waiter!! The staff helped us rent a car to visit Oia, Kamari Beach, etc...which was wonderful and inexpensive! Thank you Mike and Ioanna! what a fantastic holiday! we have just returned from a week staying in the afroessa in imerovigli and had an absolutely fab time. the hotel is in a perfect position if you're looking for somewhere to stay that is in a quiet, laid back resort which is still within easy reach of all the other resorts on both sides of the island. we were made to feel really welcome by ioanna (the owner) and mike at this wonderful and intimate hotel. our room was lovey, comfortable and clean. there is a lady who comes to clean the room and leaves fresh towels... more
