AD Place Venice

The hotel was bordered by two canals with gondolas floating by. It was near a canal stop but one block off of a busy route so it was very quiet. The location is centrally located near all of the major sites. Our room looked exactly like the pictures, very clean, funky and in immaculate condition. The staff was helpful and nice. They allowed us to check in very early after arriving from San Francisco. My only complaint was that the breakfast was just ok. Overall, I would definitely stay there again.

I don't think I can say enough good things about this hotel! It is fantastically located near St Mark's square (3 min stroll) but on a quiet street with a canal entrance and the decor and staff are excellent. The Ad Place Hotel is in an excellent location, being close to all the major attractions, yet in a quiet, tucked away spot. We were made very welcome from the beginning and throughout our stay and the staff went out of their way to help us with any questions. The breakfast was continental style, simple but sufficient. What a place, such a little gem. This hotel is just gorgeous, and the staff there made our staff just the best, with complimentary champagne on our last night! Take the water bus to the Gigilio stop, and its less than 5 minutes walk. The directions on the hotels website are perfect. The room was decorated in a french boutique style manner, really gorgeous. When we booked the Ad Place - Charming Hotel we had no idea of the beauty that awaited us. It was on the recommendation of family and we accepted the advice without further thought. What a wonderful discovery this hotel is. It is small, simple, and tastefully elegant. Our room, "Maggio", was large and bright with a view of one of the canals. From the welcome and service quality of Beatrice and Alessandro to the high grade of the Maggio room and breakfast, not counting the champagne "on the roof"... it was just superb ... and we have travelled before... after 29 years of marriage! Location is ideal: while located in the center of Venice (la Fenice) it is quiet and close to canals and easy transportation. Last, they arranged a competitive trip to the airport in a personal boat... and punctual! Great stay, thank you.

Ever since I saw this hotel I was blown away, the stay proved to be even better! I was very impressed by the service of the staff, specially the Manager Alessandro and Beatrice. The Hotel is in an excellent location a few minutes walk to San Marco, right next to a Vapporeto stop yet its in a quiet area. Ad place will always be close to my heart. I got engaged while in Venice in June 2009, and it was all heavenly thanks to my Fiance, the hotel manager Alessandro and Beatrice. They arranged everything with my then-boyfriend: from the Gondola ride; with Alessandro on another boat to capture our special moment, the champagne thereafter, and the breath-taking roof terrace where we spent the evening watching stars, sipping on more champagne and recounting the day. I traveled to Venice with a large group from my grad school and had an excellent experience at Ad Place. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly with everything from carrying our heavy bags up and down the stairs, directions, restaurant suggestions and train reservations. They were so helpful it really made our stay special and we were there for 5 days, which is a lot for a trip to Venice. We arrived to Venice to check in with the hotel that we had booked, Hotel Becher, however the very kind staff there could not accomodate our request for a room with a view for our first trip to Venice. The friendly Hotel Becher staff referred us to Ad Place and helped us with our luggage to the hotel. We were checked in to a junior suite overlooking the canal. Wow!
