This hotel was absolutely beautiful, right next to the beach and had a lovely feel to it. The only thing that spoilt it was the way that the older generation treated us, as we went in march it was full of elderly people. We didn't take our daughter as my parents took her away at the same time, and being in our twenties we felt slightly out of place, as there was no-one else there under sixty.
The food was great and even the entertainment was OK in march.
There were two bars, although we tended to stay in the small room, as the other room was jam packed with people playing bingo (or oh-lay as they call it in Spanish).
There were a few bars nearby and plenty of places to go out to eat.
The staff in the hotel were brilliant especially the bar staff, the rooms were cleaned every morning, and towels changed every day. Overall it was a lovely hotel and we would go again but later on in the year.

We've stayed at this hotel for the past three years and unfortunately the quality of the food and the entertainment has gone downhill each year.
I also agree with the comments made by Mrs L Scott about the damp patches in the restaurant.
To have any chance of getting a sunbed at this hotel you would have to get up in the middle of the night to put your towel out. Considering that this hotel is used exclusively by Thompson’s, you can't blame the Germans.
Several guests complained to the hotel management and the Thompson reps but no action was taken.

We went for a week over Christmas, and would most certainly go back again. Wonderful food, great position and spectacular entertainment. About 80% of the shops were open in Palma Nova right up and including Christmas Day!!
We are a family of, wife and myself (40's) and 2 boys (14 & 10) and it was one of the best holidays that the kids have had, they were entertained from 11am - 3pm by Sonia & Erwin (the entertainers) and we even participated in a couple of the games, the hotel was well decorated out for Christmas and Santa gave all the kids in the Hotel a present on Christmas day, and a couple of the adults too!!
For breakfast you got a choice of cereals, the usual selection of cold meats and cheeses and a full English, all self service, and you can eat as much as you want. For the evening meal, you had a choice of 2 soups, a cold buffet selection with various meats/fish and salads, and a wide choice of hot food, meat. fish, and at least 1 vegetarian dish, and the food was very well presented and loads of it.
We had a great time.

Excellent all-round hotel with great entertainment. Fresh food, variety and value for money. Nice facilities and beautiful surroundings. Caters for the older person with a fun environment and plenty to do.
Close to the shops and beach, swimming and walks. We enjoyed our stay and our family could dine with us at the hotel which was a bonus. we recommend it to all.

My husband, myself went to stay at the hotel, don’t get me wrong the meals were lovely but the room was uuurghh apart from the veranda, view was beautiful the single beds were very uncomfortable, the doors had alot of scratched on them but bathroom was lovely the furniture was what you could get of a 2nd hand shop (no disrespect to them).
The restaurant looked lovely, I was admiring the decor, drapes but when I pulled a curtain away from the wall to feel it THERE WAS BLACK DAMP ON EVERY PART AT THE BOTTOM OF THE WALLS, well its the 1st time abroad we had been on a cruise the 1st week on destiny ship was lovely, cabins were very small, the draws, cupboards doors would keep closed.
But we enjoyed our holidays, we are going on a cruise to Egypt for 1 week on the diamond ship so if anyone’s been on the cruise, enjoyed it let me know. Thanks
Mrs Scott

This hotel is in a great location and we were in one of the best rooms that jutted out slightly into the sea.
The surrounding area and facilities are great. However, the rooms weren’t big enough to swing a cat and the money you pay for this place, I think we deserved more. Word of advice, off peak times of the year this place is over run with OAP's and I was appalled at the way we were treated by them because we had a 2 year old. Honestly, we were sneared at and tutted at regularly by the other resi's, so much so that we stayed away from the hotel as much as possible and barely even ate there. Apologies if my comments offend but I feel it crucial to warn anyone with small children, looking to go off peak, don’t come here.
A regular visitor to the hotel who is also an OAP came to share her sympathies with us as she could tell how we were being treated and said that it happens all the time. She said the OAPS come back year after year, off peak, to avoid children and aren’t happy when children arrive on the scene. Be warned! But this is not a reflection on Palma Nova. I love this resort and I have returned to it since many many times.

My wife and I read comments on this site before we went in May of this year. Can I say some reviewers are easily pleased. The food was not well cooked; sliced potatoes for breakfast were underdone and the vegetables on an evening were overcooked.
As a vegetarian I can say cauliflower with cheeese, rice and peas, pasta with tomato sauce are not "main meals". Also the dishes were not described as vegetarian or not. When something is covered in mayo it is not apparent what is in it. Most of the staff were friendly but those in the cocktail bar ignored you.
Another grouse is there is no mats on the sunbeds - be prepared to either take an airbed or buy a mat in the hotel shop 10 euros each. I would not go back.
