just returned o2/07/2010 my main complaint is the pool area, the hotel changed to all inclusive this year,so they want you to stay in the hotel all day,i connted 26 static sun shades with 2 beds under each, then all outher beds out in the sun,so with 664 guests all wanting to be round the pool all wanting sunshdes do your own maths.thats why guests queue from 7am pool opens 8am by 8.03 none left, complained to rep no reply, what a joke, but you can go on the beach and pay 147 euros per week for sunshade and beds.anonymouse
- Advice: be ready to queue.

have just returned today from 11 days at this hotel, its awful, food is poor and always cold, staff are rude and cannot be bothered with anyone. the sun bed postion is a joke, queue up at 7am if you want to get one. everthing in our room feel apart eg handle of door, top of tap. safety deposit boxes and fridges expensive. In addition palma nova has gone right down and the service in the local bars is equally appauling. I will not be visiting majorica again
- Advice: dont go

I went with my husband and two children. Ideal location, but would book another hotel next time. We went All Inclusive, food wasn't fantastic, repeated on a daily basis. Never any sun beds around the pool, untill my children got in splashing!! Rooms not bad, beds hard, bathroom good, excellent views, carpet in bedrooms so the kids were safe when wet from bath. Bar staff bang your drinks on the bar, no hello etc, because they know there is no tip! Entertainment good for adults, not children as it doesn't start till 10pm, nothing on in the day for kids. It seems that the hotel is for older people, not many familys were there.

This was our first holiday at this hotel and enjoyed it very much. The food was lovely and a very good variety menu - roasts, salads, pasta etc. and a good choice of desserts. Breakfast catered for all, cooked, cereals and fruit. The room was cleaned every day and the staff were very pleasant. Lovely area by the pool overlooking the beach and a balcony that gives you a great view of the bay. We heard no sound from the streets at night as it is in a quiet area which was a bonus. Evening entertainment could have been a little more varied but on saying that it was good. Would go again without hesitation.

After staying at the santa lucia many times we found big changes, the day time activities
were only aimed at children. And one of the staff running the activities was very arrogant.Sun beds were booked all day by people who were not on them for long .The night time entertainment was all tribute bands most not very good.So we had to go out most nights. We love the hotel and most staff but are sad to say we wont stay there again,as our complaints were only played lip service.

Im 17 and by boyfriends 19 and it was our first holiday abroad together we absolutley loved it, it was one of our favourite holidays we'd been on. i am a very fussy eater but even i managed a reasonable meal a night. the entertainment was wicked we even got a full house on bingo :) beach and view was out of the world we also went on a paraglade which was fantastic. also it wasnt loud at night but it was only a 5 minute walk to magaluf strip which was mad. Deffo reccomend BCM nightclub its amazing!!
- Advice: its a perfect holiday

My family have visited the Magalluf/Palma Nova region for 25 years, sometimes twice a year. Since our sons stopped holidaying with us 14 years ago we have stayed at the Santa Lucia every year - over 14 times now.
It isn't perfect - what is - but it is consistent. I note some reviews here are very negative and those people have a problem.
Food is good and there is always something to satisfy. Clean, staff faces stay the same each year which is a good sign. Overall possibly not quite as good in general since being refurbished a couple of years ago - a few new staff came then and can be a bit glum.
Having said that, good enough to not chance anywhere else. Not the cheapest, but the views are stunning.

This was our second stay in the Santa lucia hotel. As we arrived we booked 2 rooms which were seperated from each other but they were on the same floor so it was okay. One side of the hotel gets the sun but the other doesnt. If your prepared to get up at 6 in the morning to get a sunbed then this is the hotel for you. Although getting up at 6-7 your not 100% sure you will get one. Failing sunbeds the beach is right outside so we stayed a few days on the beach. The rooms are nice but are getting slightly old. The beds are not the best to sleep on and the pillows were hard and flat. The hotel its self its lovely and one of the best things is the food. Although they repeat the food on a weekly basis theres something for everyone. As far as spanish english breakfasts go, this is one of the best hotels we have stayed in for food. The hotel lifts could do with a service with one person getting stuck but its closing down for a refurb or something in october 2009.
although there are a few downsides. We enjoyed our stay in the Santa lucia the same as our other holiday two years ago. In the peak times e.g aug/july its great for familys with children.
- Advice: The people are friendly and its a lovely place to walk around not being noisey at night.
- Activities: Main thing: The views of the hotel

Me and my boyfriend visited the hotel santa lucia hotel for 7 days. We are both 20 years old and the first thing we noticed was the hotel was full of old people, but they were all so friendly. The hotel rooms are okay, beds a little hard and the safe costs a fortune to use and we had to pay 17 euros for the fridge for a week. The hotel food was abit boring, we ate out a few times for a change. The hotel entertainment was good, and we loved the bingo and unlucky 13. The hotel is in the perfect location, shops, bars, restraunts and 2 beaches are just outside the door. We walked to the mini golf which was about 15 minutes away and its great there, also the upside down house was a good trip too. I recommend the location 100% just not so sure on the hotel, its good just not good enough.

Just arrived back form a long weekend at the hotel Santa Lucia with five girlfriends. Impressed with the hotel, especially the fact that it is carpeted. Food pretty good, full English breakfast (although waitresses a little bit grumpy one morning).Brilliant location right on the beach. We got two rooms next to each other which where interconnecting, couldnt have been any better. Fridge available to hire, hairdryer in room okay but not that good. Hotel very quiet on a nighttime so sleep is not problem. Happy hour prices very good. Hotel mainly seems to cater for the slightly older generation, but this wasnt a problem for us. Had a great time and would love to go back again with my hubby.
- Advice: Palma Nova is very nice, some lovely restaurants, fabulous beach, Magalluf great for younger ones.
