Woraburi Phuket Resort & Spa

I booked this hotel on the basis of a review in a well known guide book. It proved a terrible disappointment. The hotel had the appearance of a motel rather than a spa. Our bedroom had all sorts of problems - the bathroom window opening onto our bedroom was broken. The swimming pool was dirty and full of leaves - it was not cleaned overnight and the same cigarette butt floating outside our poolside room was still there in the morning. Food plates and beer bottles by the pool were left there for 2 days without being cleaned!<br... more

the hotel is not set in the relaxed, serene location the pictures would have you belive but smack in between other hotels,shops,markets and right on a very busy road-which separates the hotel and the beach... the cabana pool access room we booked was not up to standard and smelt terriblly musty ..the hotel restaurant was ok at best and the breakfast pretty average...the beautiful thai people were the best thing at this hotel but if your looking for a relaxed up market resort this is not it.... we moved to the holiday inn-much nicer- for... more

The Woraburi is ok. We stayed in the cabana roms with direct pool access which was nice. It was a quiet place, rooms are huge and very well kept. Across from the beach. pool here is lovely but needs atmosphere. Food for breakfast was ok, but nothing fantastic. Not much atmosphere here. Great restaurant around the corner. GINGS...must go if you stay in Karon. Also the Movenpick also has lovely pizza-singing at night. Food ordered by pool was quite good. Market is nextdoor, but nothing fabulous. Same stuff as elsewhere.

hi, we spent ten nights in this hotel feb7 - feb17, our only moan would be that it went far to quickly. the room was cleaned daily, we had fresh towels daily. the staff were always very polite and helpful. location was brill, just a two minute walk to the beach. breakfast was more than fine. would def like to return one day.

When I was planning to book a hotel for my honeymoon in Phuket ,,, I had a very long and deep look at the hotels in the island ,,, after 3 weeks my choice was for Woraburi Resort Spa for many resons and I was totaly right ,,, The Location was perfict to the honeymooner specialy that the beach was just a few steps from the hotel and one good more thing ... it was mostly empty and romantic ... Hi , my partner an I have just arrived back in Australia from a ten day stay at the Woraburi Resort and Spa in Karon. First things first ..if you like room service forget this hotel, room service is virtually non existent - check out some of the experiences we encountered...an eight day wait for TEA BAGS!! ..yep that's right!!! Only two teabags provided when we arrived , they went down a treat , BUT.. housekeeping didn't replace them the next day.. after a day out we returned to the room looking forward to a nice cuppa - but not a tea bag... more

We stayed in a superior room which had a nice view on Karon quiet beach and the courtyard in front of the hotel. We wanted a double bed but got twin beds instead. The room's layout was good and had all the basic amenities. The bed's mattress was hard but that was OK for us. There was also the standard daily complimentary water bottles. The hotel is lobby and courtyard were nice. The pool was also quite nice and ground floor rooms had direct access to the pool. Booked everything on line after reading about it .Six sunbeds for all guests very little area to sunbathe ,had to use beach and pay.Reception , dining staff very sullen ,spoke no english .no saftey deposit box in room. Rooms very nice and clean.

I stayed at the Woraburi with my parents and Sister in January 06, from the outside the Woraburi resort looks really great especially the pool. We booked Cabana style rooms which have really good access to the pool, would be great for kids. My husband & I along w/ our 3-y/o daughter planned our annual vacation in Phuket, Thailand. After scouting around in the net we found the Woraburi Resort & it looks promising as well as practical in terms of value for money. Upon arriving last Feb. 1 (we stayed until Feb.5), we found the hotel to be satisfactory in terms of room, facilities, decor, location. etc. The room was spacious enough altho the shower drainage was clogged.
