My friend and I have just recently returned from holiday. It was a fantastic holiday. The hotel itself was faultless, clean and very friendly staff. The reps could not do enough for you!! A special mention to Nutty Natalie and Matt, who was very helpful.
We wished we had stayed for another week, and will most certainly be going back next year!

Just back from a fantastic week at the Marina Torrenova. Hotel is well worth it's 3 star rating, spotless throughout, firstclass food and service, Thomson rep's can't do enough to make your stay enjoyable, particularly Natalie and Andy who kept us all well entertained daily, these people have the patience of saints when it comes to dealing with kids. All in all a great hotel with great staff, special mention to Nick the barman who always had a funny quip when serving you.If your looking for a family hotel in a central location you won't get much better than this even if it's up a hill 150 yds from the beach. Wife and kids are already asking when are we going back...nuff' said!

weve just returned from a week at marina torrenova.we read reports prior to our travel, but i can assure you having stayed in over 30 hotels on the island this one is up there with the best.the food was v.good a large selection and a kids buffett on its own,my kids are 2 and 5 and very fussy, but found no problems in finding food to eat.the entertainment team are really good nothing too much trouble.the only thing if i was being really picky would be the room are quite small but really clean{u dont spend much time in them anyway}the hill up to the hotel is a little steep and hard going at 40 degrees but is only about 400mtrs long{great for beach ]the drinks in hotel expensive.overall fantastic for families .join in with activities itll make your holiday.it is right on top of magaluf strip but dont worry its at the family end we never encountered one problem.

We have just come back from a weeks holiday at this hotel and had a fantastic time. We could not fault the hotel, the food was nice, the rooms were clean, the staff were friendly and very helpful and the tv even had cbeebies on it which my son was very pleased about. This is the second time we have been to this hotel, we would definitely recommend this hotel.

Just returned back yesterday from a weeks half board at the Hotel Marina Torrenova, we had a great time, the kids loved it especially the fab kids club & thompson the dog. All the staff & entertainers work especially hard and they are all so friendly. Its only downfall was the standard of the food & the mad dash at breakfast & dinner times. You not only had to locate a table yourselve's but when you got one there were no cutlery so we had to go on a search for knives & forks, then get the kids dinner & then drinks from the bar, by the time we eventually sat down for dinner the kids had had enough and wanted to get down so all a bit stressfull. The variety was good but the standard of the food wasnt great lots of things that didn't go together. Could'nt fault the snack bar food in the day time but then you pay for that! As for the slight incline advertised in the brochure, it is a bit of a hill and we had buggys but we didnt actually find it that bad infact we liked the excersise after lazing around in the sun all day. We all loved the swimming pools and again the kids reps were fantastic especially nutty Natalie & Andy Pandy the kids loved them. Rooms....uhm what can I say very small for all of us, a twin bed, sofa bed & cot couldn't really move but they were clean. Overall I would say its definately a 3* hotel and 4* for the entertainers .....you definately get what you pay for.

Just came back from this Hotel,
What a bad time we had 3 Adults 1 child all in one room.very crampt and no room to move.
The fridge in the room was very warm and the television was all in spanish!!!!. Had a room with a view(front of the road) great if you want to watch car,s bike's and coaches.
no sun.asked for low level due to small child, but she could of climed on chair to the edge of the balcony which was high.
Yes the cleaners did work hard but with dirty mops that stank out your room when you came home from a day at the beach,as you could not get a sun bed.Clean towels i had to ask for
from reception twice during our stay.We also had to ask for extra pillows as the ones we had were flat, but they did arrive after asking reception. Now to the FOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What were people there eating? we went down for Breakfast COLD,Went down for evening meal cold also and dirty tables,no cutlery clean when i asked they just walked away.so did we.
We ate out from then on and no you could not serve your self as May 2009 comment said.
Weather made up for the dissapointment, and the glass bottom boat. The Beaches are beautiful we have been to palma nova many time but would not stay at this Hotel.TAKE NOTICE

We have just returned from a week at the Torrenova and can't believe some of the negative reviews!! We thought the food was FANTASTIC!! A huge choice every night, always two soups, beautiful salad, great choices for kids if they are fussy eaters, a carvery every night and a seperate section for vegetarians with at least four or five options (I've never seen my husband eat as much on holiday). As far as I'm concerned, if you're not prepared to try it, don't comment on it. Yes the hotel suffered a bug a couple of weeks ago but due to everyone using the hand gel on entry and the waiters serving whilst wearing gloves this has been eradicated. You can also serve yourself again now. The kids entertainers were good, but we didnt use the kids clubs as we went to the beach every day which yes, it is up and down the hill but remember, you are on holiday, you dont have to power walk up it. The hotel is kept spotlessly clean by an army of cleaners. Clean sheets and towels every day and fast service from Reception if you needed anything. The pool was a little crowded, if you want a good sunbed, get your towels out by 8.00 am or you've no chance (even though the signs say you can't reserve sunbeds). Great choice of bars and restaurants if you do fancy eating out. I would recommend Palma Nova if you are with the kids though, saw far too many 'mankinis' in Magaluf for my liking! lol Great beaches, great weather, great holiday.

What a fantastic holiday, we booked 6 days before, desperate for a last miniute deal. The flight is just over 2 hours and only 20 mins transfer. The hotel was very clean. The food could have been a little better but we ate all our meals in so they wernt that bad.The food was served to you but only for hygene reasons , there had been a bug brought in and the hotel staff and catering staff could not do anything more to try to prevent it breaking out again. The excellent entertainment by nutty nat and andy pandy and the rest of the crew was amazing. We recently just came back off a thompson cruise and the entertainment was equally as good!!!!!!!!! We never stopped laughing from 12 noon till 12 midnight, either at ourselves, nutty nat, andy pandy or just watching them all having good fun outside the pool area. Our daughter and her friend, aged 16 and 15 didnt want to leave the hotel at all.It saved us a fortune. We expected them to be wanting to go clubbing in mgaluf every night. There is no need at all to set foot outside the hotel door at all, all holiday.Although one problem to anyone with disabilities or breathing problems is that the hotel is situated on a steep hill, but 2 mins each way to either Palma Nova beach or Magaluf.Prices behind the bar could be a little bit cheaper.Definately revisit.lin, nik, jaz and danielle.

We have just returned from 2 fantastic weeks at the Marina Torrenova. I was terrified of going after reading the poor reviews before we went but we were very pleasantly surprised. Yes they have had a bug going around but they are doing their upmost to eradicate it and I never heard of anyone having it while we were there so I think it is on the way out.
The food was fine not a la carte but what do people expect from a 3 star hotel. If people aren't even prepared to try something then how can they complain about it? We found something nice to eat most days.
The entertainment team (Andy Pandy and Nutty Natalie) were fantastic in keeping the kids happy the whole time, yes the entertainment is aimed mostly at the kids but it is a Family Club Hotel and as long as the kids were happy then so were we.
There were cleaners everywhere in the hotel and our sheets and towels were changed daily.
The hill is a bit steep and unsuitable for people with walking difficulties but it wasn't massive and would certainly not put us of going back.
All in all we had a fantastic holiday and I would recommend this hotel to anyone with young kids. Shabbatastic!

Just got back from the most enjoyable holiday at the Torrenova. Was really worried when reading the reviews just prior to going, but I can assure anyone that is about to leave that the Hotel has done everything possible to stop the bug that everyone was talking about on the previous reviews. Yes there is hand gel to put on before entering the restaurants & the kids clubs, ok the staff serve you food from the buffet, but I would rather that then be ill whilst in holiday.
The best part of this hotel is how the whole team from Nutty Natalie & Andy Pandy (the main entertainers) to Lovely Laureyn & Anna Banana (in the kids club) made you feel welcome from the minute you arrive. I have twin boys of 5 who loved every minute. They work from 8am until midnight, if you don't know the words to Big Fish & Follow the leader now, you will by the last evening, your children will love all the mad dancers that they have made up. The kids clubs are totally safe & well organised, they also have evening clubs from 7.30-9.30 at a cost of 4 euros per child, which enables you to have some precious evening me time as well.
The only grumble I do have is the prices of everything, 2.50 euros for a cornetto ice cream, 2 euros for a bottle of water in the hotel. Take my advice get some drink from the supermarkets & take these into the bar of a evening & the restaurant, take biscuits chocolates & crisps from the UK as there is a fridge in your room (you will save yourself a fortune).
Only been back one day & already looking to go again before the end of the season, Enjoy, I'm very jealous

My wife children (aged 12 + 6) and i have just come back from the marina torrenova and must say it was fabulous!!! Prior to reading the reviews 4 hours before we were due to fly i was a bit apprehensive in going, but there was not a lot we could do about it. When we got there the hotel was spotless, the food was great and the entertainment for both kids and adults was superb. The thomson team were great from 8am right through to midnight everyday - they were fantastic!!!! I must say andy pandy and nutty nat were shabbatastic. There was a bug going around but i can guarentee that they took every precaution to prevent it spreading from persons to persons, they couldn't have done anymore than they done. I would certainly recommend this hotel without any doubt and we're already looking to book this hotel for next year. This hotel is great for families and couples. So i like to finish by giving a big thank you to Thomson for making our holiday such a fantastic 1 - thank you!!!!
