I stayed at this hotel with my Husband, 17 year old Daughter, and my 10 year old Son on the 11th October 2007.
Reception - The people on the reception were lovely people would do anything to help you. Very friendly and always dressed in their smart uniform. Reception area was very well decorated and was always clean.
Rooms - Rooms were small but efficient , bathroom was a decent size. Rooms were cleaned and tidied every day, one of the maids that worked there would leave sweets and the bed for my son.
Food - Food was lovely good selection every night ranging from Sunday dinner to salads and a range of meats. Childs selection was chicken nuggets, chips, mash (which is actually instant mash), beans, and pasta EVERY night so not much choice for the children. Deserts were similar every night but were lovely.
Bar/Entertainment - Entertainment on night was pretty good. First there would be the Children’s Reps to entertain the children which was ok. After that there would be a cabaret show.
On the Monday night that we were there, there was a brilliant comedian on and us all laughing from start to finish, was nothing rude, and kept the children entertained as well by telling them little jokes as well. As it was the end of the season when we went the Reps were doing their last every rep show of the season at the Hotel which was really good.
On an afternoon Alex one of the reps would do the Quiz which you could win a bottle of champagne. I won a bottle on a tiebreaker question which was to guess how old Alex was I said 25...he is actually 26 so I think he was happy with me saying that.
The Drinks at the bar are reasonably priced, with a lot of choice. They have different measurements than we do so I suppose that it is good price compared to what you would get over here for you money.
Location - One thing it didn’t tell you in the brochure is that it is up a hill. But don’t let the hill put you off staying here. It’s about 10 mins away from Palma nova beach and about 20 mins away from Magalluf beach. Bars Pubs Clubs and restaurants are all within 15 mins way from the hotel.
Overall the hotel was brilliant and had a fantastic holiday. I would definitely go back to the hotel.

This was our first holiday with my 14 month old. We found the hotel overall excellent. The only problem was the food I found it a little too greasy and my daughter was not that keen. However there was an excellent choice of food that the waiters kept replenishing. The restaurant always had a different theme every night.
Although the sunbeds were always taken early we always managed to get a couple near the baby pool. We did not sit on them that much anyhow.
The entertainment was superb. Loopy Lou and Mr. Alex always had a smile on their face and always had time for their guests. They kept the kids entertained for hours. My daughter really loved Thomson. I would quite happily go back next year.

Apart from the leak in our ceiling due to the awful thunder storms, we had a fantastic time. The staff are brilliant and we were moved to another room without any hassle.
The food was excellent such a huge choice. The rooms were fairly small but enough space for the 3 of us. Our 2 year old daughter had a magic time swimming and playing in the little park area.
If we ever decided to have another holiday in Majorca we would definitely go back to this hotel.

We returned yesterday from our 2 week stay at the Marnina Torrenova and enjoyed every minute of it.
Just a few negative points to get out of the way first, the hotel is situated on top of a fairly steep hill. We found there are 2 ways to get up to the hotel from Palma nova/ Magaluf, one is less steep than the other, this is as you come up from Palma nova centre rather than Magaluf, coming this way made it easier for us as we had our 2 year old in a pushchair.
Elderly or disabled people may struggle a bit. The other negative is that there aren't enough sunbeds for the amount of guests staying. I hate it when people reserve sunbeds but in the 2nd week, found myself doing it so we could get a bed in the sun and near the shallow end of the pool so we could watch our son.
Other than that the hotel is fantastic. If you have kids and are thinking of coming here, go for it, there are tots/kids clubs with loads of activities going off all day every day. We didn’t use this service but it looked great anyway. There’s also stuff to entertain the grownups such as water polo and quizzes.
The food is great, something for everyone’s taste. They have a separate kids buffet as well.
The reception and bar staff speak excellent English and are very helpful and polite. The entertainment can be a little repetitive but it’s entertaining for the kids and about 3 times a week they have an act in, such as comedians or bands.
The rooms are very clean and have fridges and air conditioning. The maid comes in every day with clean towels and make the beds. If you are travelling light there is also a rental service on hair straighteners, bottle warmers, kettles, irons and every other electrical item you could imagine, the hotel really has thought of everything.
Palma Nova as a resort is excellent for families and couples, we found a few bars that were quite cheap and also good for the kids, Sams bar just down the road is English run and has a free bouncy castle for the under 10's to play on.
To be quite honest we were happy enough staying in the hotel on an evening. I have always stayed in apartments before and gone out to find my own food and entertainment but the Marina Torrenova has changed my view on Superfamily hotels.
We are definitely going to go back to this hotel, possibly in May or June rather than September as the weather was a little disappointing in the 2nd week.
I give this hotel 10 out of 10, book it now!

Just arrived back after a week at this hotel and can honestly say that it is brill, it caters excellent for the children and the entertainment is very good both afternoon and night. The pools are sufficiently sized and there is a lifeguard on duty all day.
All the staff were helpful and friendly and could not do enough for you. The food was excellent and there was something to suit all tastes.
The hotel is based well, being just a short walk from the centre of Palma Nova or Magaluf, there is a slight steep hill but if you don't mind that then it is excellent and I would recommend to anyone either family or couples.

We have just returned from the Marina Torrenova hotel. Me my husband and daughter who’s 3, loved this hotel. The staff were very friendly including the Thomson reps.
A special thank you to loopy Lou nick knack knickers and Adam what a fab team you are making everyone feel involved.
The food was lovely rooms were cleaned daily everything was in easy reach e.g. Shops, bars etc.
Overall this is a fab place to stay and we are definitely returning next year. The hill up to the hotel isn’t as bad as people make out there was a few elderly people in the hotel and they didn’t find it a problem.
Thank you for reading my comments hope whoever is reading this PLEASE GO to the MARINA TORRENOVA. Also there is a fridge in your room to which is an added bonus, and we would recommend the moonlight riding trip and marine land. ENJOY
Excellent hotel for families....

Excellent hotel for families. Staff all courteous and helpful. Rooms adequate and cleaned daily.
Best thing was food - fantastic! Catered completely for British taste - roast meats most days. Excellent kids menu.
Entertainment for kids superb. Reps entertaining. Our 5 year old keeps asking when we are going back.
Only downside was guests not abiding by rules - despite signs saying don't reserve beds, people did. If no one did, with people coming and going there would be sufficient for everyone. Time and time again we saw beds reserved but some occupants didn't appear until tea time. Staff should really enforce.
Despite this - loved the hotel, fantastic holiday. Ideal location (unless mobility problems as on quite a bank) - could walk to both Palma Nova or Magaluf, and a short bus trip to the beautiful city of Palma.

Just got back from a week at Marina Torrenova, first impressions of the hotel where fantastic, very helpful reception staff and very clean and tidy.
First morning we had to queue for breakfast for half an hour, as when weather is a bit bad they close the outside dining area and have not enough tables inside to cater for everyone. Food over all was very good a very good selection for everyone, the last 3 mornings of our stay we couldn’t face the breakfast it was the same everyday.
Our room was very nice with lovely pool and sea view, room 620. I do recommend a trip to Ruby Tuesdays bar (left out of hotel and a 5 min walk), on a Thursday night they have a hypnotist, very funny indeed, better than the one they have Saturday night. I do recommend the pirates uncut show its 50 euro but very well worth it.
Very good holiday shame the weather wasn’t a bit nicer.

Two adults on their first child free holiday... this was an allocation on arrival late deal booked 3 days before departure.
We arrived in the early hours of Sunday morning, on the resort transfer to the hotel our holiday high was on a real low as we passed through the Magaluf strip. Kids with an average age of somewhere between 12-16 were drunk, vomiting in the street and the usual hitting kicking the bus. We arrived at the hotel prepared for the worst break our hard earned money had paid for.
The first sign of joy was at 8.30am Sunday morning, on our way to breakfast we stopped to peruse the view of the pool from a staircase window. The pool doors opened and a human tide burst through the doors, old people. Young people, running, pushing and shoving in the race for a sunbed. How we laughed!
Breakfast was the usual 'typical English breakfast' but there was plenty of fresh fruit and yoghurts as an alternative. The evening meal consisted of a good mix of British and Spanish options, as well as a nightly carvery with at least two options of meat to choose from. The cheese selection was excellent and the Brie so creamy and fresh! My idea of heaven.
Reception staff were excellent, hotel staff friendly and did not look upon guests as an unavoidable nuisance. The Thomson Reps were the best we have come across in Ten Years of Thomson holidays, instead of the usual unapproachable uniformed staff. The reps in this hotel made a point of being part of your holiday, joining in with guests in organised pool events and just making a point of stopping to talk instead of the usual hiding behind the trip sales desk hoping no one will bother them. Lou and Alex entertained guests by the pool with a pleasant manner and were not over excitable in trying to have guests take part. In fact in the 7 days we stayed guests were falling over themselves to take part.
With no children we did not view the evening entertainment but took nightly strolls into Palma nova to enjoy a cool drink by the beach, we only ventured into Magaluf once (and made sure it was early enough to evade the drunken kids) and once was enough, we were last in Magaluf 3 years ago and unfortunately it has become a whole lot scruffier in that time. The Marina Torrenova is well placed so that you can choose the short downhill walk to palm nova rather than the trek to the grubby Magaluf beach.
We were so pleased with the Marina Torrenova that we re-booked a family holiday for May 2008 when we returned to Britain, our only hope is that the reps stay put and do not move on.

We have just come back from a week stay at the Marina Torrenova. We had the most amazing holiday.
The staff at this hotel are fantastic. My husband and I have been too many stunning hotels around the world, but due to the helpful staff this is definitely the best we have stayed in.
The food was really good with only one off day! The rooms were really clean, air conditioned and comfortable. The resources in this hotel for the children were of a very high standard.
The reps were really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I would def go back here and make sure I take lots of friends too!

Although I am only 11, I really enjoyed staying at this hotel
Kidzone was cool. I have been to kidzone since 2003 but didn’t go in 2004. That was my 3rd year in Tribe. The reps:- Chocolate E-Claire, Awesome Adi, Red bull Emma, Little Lisa, Super Safina, Charlie Chalk and Half pint Holly were really nice to me. They all knew my name from my 2nd night and the activities were cool.
The entertainers:-Lou and Alex were really good, but I’ve only been to two mini discos and 3 evening clubs. My favourite activity was when I learnt how to play killer pool and I lost!
Hope I come again soon - only first time.

When we arrived at the hotel we were pleasantly surprised. It looked lovely. As we went inside it was just the same, very clean, marble floors. Absolutely spotless.
We had a family room which had a double bed, a sofa and three other single beds. There was plenty of room for my family of four. We had a balcony looking over the kid’s pool, which was great.
We also watched the entertainment from our room. We had a great view from our balcony. Every evening the entertainment started from 8.30. The first hour and a half was for the kids, then from 10.00 it was entertainment for everyone.
We only stayed for 1 week, and we did feel that 2 weeks would have been too much. Hearing the same music every night its gets a bit boring. But after all it is a Superfamily hotel so it is for the kids. The food was quite good, plenty of variety.
The sunbed queue is another story. People get up at 7.30 just to get the right spot. The doors to the pool area are opened at 8.30. The hill that everyone mentions was fine. It’s not as bad as people say. We did the marine land and aquarium tour, what a rip off. We had two hours and each place. Rush rush rush.
The dolphin show at marine land didn't start till 11.30 we had to be back on the bus at 12.10. We had ten minutes to get back to the bus. This cost 145 Euros don't do it. Do marine land on its own.
The western water park was fab, we went twice it was excellent. Great fun for kids of all ages, and the parents. The life guards were very good. I saw a little boy about six nearly drown, because his father was stupid. The flumes are very scary. Try them first before you let your children on them.
Going back to the hotel, I have no complaints and I am fussy. If you do book a holiday there. Book a family suite you won't regret it.

We have been to this hotel for the last 2 years and have just booked for next year. We love it. The rooms are a little small but are very clean and tidy. The hotel maids are very friendly, as is all the staff in the hotel.
We especially love it as it caters for kids, our son loves Thomson the dog, the kids reps are fantastic as are the crèche reps. He loved spending time in the crèche, and it gives us chance for a well earned rest.
The food does get a little repetitive but there are several choices, English and Spanish. There are different choices for the kids as well, crackers and dairylea, chicken nuggets, pasta etc. They have English bacon for breakfast.
The entertainment is good but you have to join in to make the most of it. I expect that the people who have given it bad reviews are the ones that sit there with the long face. You can have great fun after all, it is superfamily.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone, it is central to both Magaluf and Palma Nova.

Just returned from 2 weeks at this accommodation. We have visited the resort several times before and previously stayed at cheaper self catering accommodation (all of which we preferred). Resort is great for families but we will not return to this accommodation.
Good points:
Hotel reception staff very helpful, strong English and happy to engage in conversation and help with any queries / book taxis / give advice.
Hotel very clean - maid service every day to a high quality.
Breakfast - good selection from fry up to continental and fresh fruit.
Bad points:
The sunbed situation is a complete joke - pool doors open at 8.30 and people start queuing inside the hotel from 8.00, sometimes in a line beyond the hotel entrance (about 200 feet long!!) To add insult, the people don't even stand in the queue as today I had to step over a line of towels as a make-shift queue as I got out of the lifts.
Tour operator says that it is up to the hotel to enforce 'no reserve sunbeds' policy (ie they can't be bothered).
Hotel say that they cannot enforce policy and referred to the situation as 'Atomic Warfare' - so in other words if you want to use the pool facilities you need to be the earliest riser in the hotel.
Most sunbeds are unattended for most of the morning (once early birds have claimed them they clearly go back to bed).
We had a 'premium' room which meant that our full priced children had a bed instead of a sofa-bed (I would have expected this as standard not premium).
Restaurant is chaos with everyone running around to get more food as quickly as possible as if the food is about to run out - although to be fair having to queue up to get into the restaurant meant that you are pretty hungry by the time you get in.
Kids' menu is the same every day - nothing wrong with chicken nuggets but after two weeks this gets ridiculous.
Steep hill down to the beach - one guest we spoke to had walking difficulties & they had been assured that the hotel is on the beach. It is only about 5 mins walk but there is a steep hill to get back up, which with a buggy at night is a challenge.

Best holiday ever we was a party of 7, we had two rooms next to each other. The receptionists got to know kids on first name basis they were so friendly, rooms were bit small but ok very clean ,cleaners were in daily changed sheets and towels daily.
My son broke a glass on the balcony; we asked reception for dustpan and brush they looked at us gone out "you don’t clean "he said within 5 mins a maid was in our room sweeping up the glass.
We sent the kids down at 8.30 to get sunbeds, never had a problem getting them.
The entertainment was brilliant kids loved it especially Alex and Loopy Lou they made the holiday they were great so very funny.
The kids loved the drop in den and the tribe the kids chocolate party is a must our kids have never had so much fun.
Food where do I start the variety was great kids loved it they used kids buffet and the adults.
Fresh fruit daily, they had themed nights we put lots of weight on yummy.
Will defo go here again can’t wait well worth the money.
