Me, my mother and 2 brothers stayed in this hotel in May. The hotel is very clean and tidy and the staff are really friendly. The food was at first not great but as more english visited the hotel it improved, and it was lovely. The nightly entertainment was brilliant, although during the day they could of had more going on. The only problem with the hotel is that it is on a hill. This can be seen good because it is just on the outside of all the nightlife therefor you dont find it hard to sleep, although when you are staggering home it is a task to walk up. But it didnt really seem a bother.
The 2 pools are always kept clean, and they are really nice. There are plenty of sun loungers and the play area for children is great. I do recomend this to familys, although not so much stag/hen doo's.
- Advice: Close to beach, great food, great staff, very clean. Worth staying in although price is a bit pushy.
- Good For: Beach
- Board Basis:All Inclusive

My family went to the Marina Torrenova Hotel in July 2010, this is a fantastic family hotel with great entertainment for the children, the Marina entertainers were really good with the kids who had a ball. We booked a family suite so had two rooms joined together for loads of space. We were greeted at the reception by a lovely guy who smiled all the time. Although the food was not quite as good as we have experienced, the breakfasts were great and the all inclusive snacks all day were good too. The hotel was lovely and quiet during the night and is far enough away from the busy strip to be peaceful. All in all would recommend this hotel to any family looking for a hotel based holiday with plenty to do in the resort. The Western Water park is great fun. Would def. return to this hotel, the hill is a bit of a climb but didnt mind it too much, the lovely hotel experience makes up for that.
- Advice: Plenty to do for families

Just back from a weeks holiday at this hotel and have to say was way above all expectation.Had three children aged 15,11 and 8 and all found plenty to do and loved it. Food excellent, hotel staff more than helpful and spotless accomodation. Very quiet at night and no noise disturbance, entertainment very good and staff at childrens club excellent. All in all very good value for money, upgraded to all inclusive once arrived and this was extremley good value for money. Plenty of sunbeds available and no need to rush to place towels on beds. Snacks all day of good variety., Maid service excellent.

Absolutely vile not family orientated at all as described by the tour operator, accomodated large groups of spanish students who were so unruly, arrogant & rude. Then we encountered stag and hen parties who didn't give a care as to the families holidaying in the hotel. Food was so poor that our 2 grandsons 11 & 13 resorted to eating breakfast cereals for their evening meals from the kiddies buffet. Evening entertainment was either 3rd rate or staff performing. We on the third day officially complained along with other families to our tour operator regards the status and issues within the hotel only to find that they had had so many complaints that they were running out of complaints forms, the only good things that we found was the pool & pool area which was lovely and our trip to the Pirates Adventure if you can afford it, it was well worth it fantastic night (food was great)!!! Palma Nova Beach short walk down hill but hill steep walking back in the heat. Also to close to Magaluf for our liking but again the brochure made it seem quite away. As you can imagine WE WILL NOT be going to Palma Nova or this hotel again we will go North of the Island much much nicer.
- Advice: Wouldn't bother if you want a family holiday.

Just spent two weeks at this hotel and have no complaints. We are a couple in our sixties
and knew this hotel was geared to family entertaintment. The pool area was adequate with lots of sunbeds at this time of year. The restaurant food was excellent with plenty of choice although it was better to keep your cutlery between courses.Room service was daily and rooms were kept clean. The hotel is located on a slight hill but is only ten minutes from either Magaluf or the more sedate Palma Nova beach. both beaches are excellent.
We had a good two weeks and would stay here again.

Just got back from one weeks stay at the Hotel Marina Torrenova. Nice location for hotel, 2 adults and one child on holiday. Good points, maid service every day, reception good, very clean throughout. Bad points: Half board is waste of money, food pretty awful, found stale cereal, off orange juice and milk, no variety, other than loads of fruit. Room too small for a family, many rooms face the road or a wall. Evening entertainment good for kids, goes on way too late 11pm, no where for a quiet drink in the evening. No entertainment other than crap singing holiday reps, felt like we were in Pontins.
Stay at hotel Hawaii 3***, looked much better, great location near the sea and 200 yds from the beach. hope the review helps, probably wouldn't stay there again

We have just come back from 2 weeks at the Torrenova and have had the most wonderful time.
Before going on this holiday I read a number of reviews about this hotel, mainly great with some being very negative. I think some reviews don't go into too much detail, so I will try and give you an idea of what this hotel is like.
The hotel itself is in a quiet location on the outskirts of Palma Nova and Magalluf, so there is no noise from people returning to their hotels in the early hours.
The hotel itself is very nice. The reception staff are very polite and helpfull and speak very good english. It is kept spotless, with a number of cleaners working all hours. We had a family4 room in which the kids had a single bed each and me and my wife had 2 singles pushed together. You have your own fridge along with a large wardrobe and a set of drawers providing plenty of storage for your clothes and an en-suite bathroom. How much more space do you need when all you do in the room is sleep and get changed?
For breakfast there is so much choice, including a full english, cereals, freshly made omlettes, cold meats and cheeses, bread and croissants, yoghurts and fresh fruit. In the evening you can have soup, a choice of salads and cold meats, a choice of 4 main dishes with rice, chips, boiled and jacket potatoes as well as a choice of vegetarian dishes. Most nights a chef is preparing fresh dishes for you, including spaghetti, paella and several roast joints. The kids also had there own buffet with chicken nuggets etc. The food was always hot and there was plenty of it, with an army of staff clearing your plates after you had finished. I must admit that by the end of the second week the food did become a little repetative, but with the amount of new arrivals each week this is to be expected.
For the first week of the holiday you did have to get in a queue for a sunbed, but as people started to leave this was no longer a problem. There are 2 pools with plenty of space around them. We arrived on a Saturday and after a walk around the pool we were able to find a couple of sunbeds.
The one negative point I can say about the hotel is that the drinks in the bar were rather expensive. To compensate for this we would buy our soft drinks from a local supermarket to take down to the pool and I would keep some beer in the fridge to have after the evening entertainment had finished.
I feel I must mention the reps last, especially Andy Pandy and Nutty Natalie. Andy and Natalie were absolutely fantastic with both the kids and adults, putting all their energy EVERY day into all the games, quizzes and entertainment they arranged. I must admit I had my doubts about being entertained every day by holiday reps and thought we would be going to the beach most days, but I can honestly say that I have been converted by these 2 and even I wanted to stay around the pool. We did go to the beach several times, which is beautiful and clean and only a short walk from the hotel, but being by the pool and entertained by Andy and Natalie was the highlight.
I have not been able to mention every last detail about this hotel but hope from this review it gives you a good idea of what to expect at the Torrenova. All in all we had a wonderful time and would fully recommend this hotel to anybody. By the way I am not a travel agent

We have just returned from the Marina Torrenova.(Aug 2009) It was a late booking and we were unsure of what it would be like. We were not disappointed. We arrived very late at night, the receptionist was expecting us and had our room key ready. I would agree with others that the family rooms are a bit on the small side, with 2 adults a 15 year old & a 10 year old we thought we would never manage, but we do not go on holiday to spend a lot of time in our room, so everything was fine. The room was cleaned every day, and the staff very polite, and even offered to come back at a different time one day as we were having lunch in our room.
The rest of the hotel we found clean, the pool area was hosed & pool cleaned every day. Yes there was a bit of a rush for a sunbed at the pool, but in fairness even if you went to the pool later in the day we always found a sunbed.
The food in the hotel was plentiful, and you will only struggle to find anything to eat if you are extremely fussy. Our youngest son is quite a fussy eater, but he found something to eat everyday & even tried new dishes. The list of options for breakfast & dinner were in abundance, you did'nt have to have chips every day! Remember you are in a foreign country the food will not be cooked to your exact tastebuds!! The restaurant staff were helpful & friendly, the tables were cleared, and relayed as quickly as possible.
The entertainment staff worked extremely hard. It was'nt compulsary to join in with the activities, but after a couple of days you soon will know all the words & actions to 'Big Fish Little Fish'.
If you are looking for a quite relaxing hotel don't go here, but as this is a 'Thompson Family Club Hotel' by its nature it is not going to be quiet!

Just returned back from Marina Torrenova Hotel. Where do I start? Firstly if you are looking for a relaxing holiday and want to laze in the sun you better set your alarm clock for your sunbed. You had to get up at 7.30 and queue until 8.30 as it was one mad rush to get a sunbed. Even though signs were up asking people not to reserve sunbeds people still did. Secondly the area around the pool is not very big so therfore everyone was cramped together like a tin of sardines. The hotel looks very nice when you enter the main reception area but when you get to your room yet again there is no room for a family to move about think they need to upgrade the rooms. Thirdly the food not appetising always cold if you like chips you are in for a winner. Kids buffet very strange not much difference between adults buffet (Chicken Vindaloo on childrens buffet). In fact we had to eat out to get a decent meal and feel full. The restaurant, well be prepared to clear and clean your own table find cultery( if you can) and clean glasses. I am still waiting for the Customer Service Manager to speak to me. Have been but would definately not go back.I rate this as a 2 star not a 4 star.

Just back from a week half board in this hotel with my partner, 8 year old son and my parents.
The hotel was lovely and clean, spacious and very cool (much needed when the temp was hitting the high 90s). All the staff were friendly, the rooms clean and and the service top notch.
The food was great, especially the breakfasts. Lots of variety including theme nights, i find it hard to beleive that any one could struggle to find something they liked, with 2 choices of soup 2 cold meat and salad bars, a hot buffet, a vegetarian counter, a theatre display, a kids buffet, a dessert counter a fresh fruit counter and a table for cheese and biccies, you will definatly be spoiled for choice.
The pool was fab and it was near impossible to get my son out of it, nice and clean and always possible to get a sunbed (although you need to be up early to get one right beside the pools edge)
A very international hotel with lots of nationalities and age groups staying there (Bingo was in four languages!!)the entertainment was great for kids and adults alike with a full activities programme from 10:30 in the morning till after 11 at night.
My only gripe would be the price of drinks in the hotel bar, a little steep if your not all inclusive and definatly cheaper to go out drinking elsewhere, oh and the hill is a bit of a killer especially if you go out for a nice long stroll after dinner like we did.
All in all a great holiday in a great hotel in a great locatation, i would not hesitate in going back here again.
