Good holiday went with our Grandkids they loved the kids clubs. Go to Marinaland and pay the extra to interact with the dolphins (really good experience). Watch out for the Timeshares (unless you want to get involved or have £8000 to spare). The hotel was good food good entertainment was on the kids but well we all want to see our own. Only problem was space in the room 2 adults 2 kids not a lot of space (could not find anything) Reception could not have been more helpful.
Only problem was perhaps my own fault I left all unused consumables (sun lotion after sun shampoo conditioner etc) forgot to pick up my white cotton jacket when I called it was not to be found.
Just to reiterate very helpful reception staff good hotel only reason I would not return was
the space in the room, was not enough for 2 adults plus one 9 year old and one 6. I can only advise you buy any cigarettes at duty free or on the plane as Majorca sell at £25.00 or Euro equitant all over the island. Hope you have as good a holiday as us

We have two small boys 2 and 3 months and wanted a family hotel with a good reputation and from the outset we were impressed. We also didn't want a long drive from the airport and Torrenova was the first stop so only 30 mins in the coach after a 2 hour flight from the UK.
The hotel is very well kept and the staff extremely friendly. We arrived just before 9pm when the restaurant closed so quickly chose something to eat and sat down when the head chef came over. I thought he was going to tell us to eat up ASAP at they were closing but he explained they only worked there and for the next week the hotel was our home and they would do everything within their power to help us relax. As the week went on I found that all the staff had the same helpful attitude. There were some English staff there also and they all worked extremely hard.
There are ramps for pushchairs everywhere and not only do the kids have their own swimming pool but also two outdoor play areas and one indoor one. One good thing also was that they have loads of left over inflatable toys for the kids to play on that other guests had bought and left when they went home so there is no need to buy them. This was a great idea. Also to save people creeping around with towels in the dark hours grabbing all the sun beds, the doors are locked to the swimming pool terrace area until 8am every morning so even though you get a queue of people with several towels on their arm waiting for the green light I think it is a fairer way of doing it. There is a crèche for £10 per 2 hours and a kids club to entertain them while you sun bath. There is also a good laundry room so don't worry too much about packing loads of clothes because for only £4 you can wash and tumble dry a load to re-wear.
There was a very good shop/newsagent ran by an English couple 300 yards from the hotel (turn left out of entrance and walk down hill round to the left and they are on the left) and they will advise you what mineral water is best for the little ones.
We enjoyed walks into Magaluf and Palma Nova as from Torrenova they are both within easy walking distance. The hill is not as bad as some people have made out and is actually good because with the hotel being at a higher vantage point you cannot hear any of the noise from either of the two more lively resorts.
The entertainment staff from Thomson work really hard all day and is mostly geared around the kids. The only downside was the drinks from the bar were expensive (up to £4 for a pint) but with shops all around, fridges in the room, and having to have the kids in bed by a certain hour, there is nothing to stop you having your own bar on your balcony later on.
We stayed in one of the very few family suites and if you have two kids and fancy sleeping in an adjoining room instead of pull out beds etc. I would recommend it as with the two rooms you get loads of space, loads of storage, a double and a twin room with cot if required, two fridges and a longer balcony.
The food was very impressive and a full fry up in the morning followed by a swim was the order of the day. My wife had a birthday while there and we had a letter pushed under the door from the hotel staff saying she had a surprise for when she went to diner. She was presented with a cake and about 8 waiters sang happy birthday to her. We didn't even tell them that it was. Is these little touches that have made us re-book for May 2007 within 2 hours of getting home. Overall as a family hotel both for parents and kids or grandparents and kids it is highly recommended both for accessibility and suitability.

I really cannot find any faults with the hotel. It was my first time in Mallorca so I really didn't know what to expect but I absolutely loved the Marina Torrenova hotel.
The facilities were incredible, the atmosphere around the hotel was a great one, and I really cannot complain about the staff there. I had really over done it in the sun, totally burned myself, went to the reception desk and the staff behind the desk ended up giving me some sun cream to use and told me that I needed to buy after sun care.
They were having conversations with other customers in the hotel and having fun with the children to.
I would seriously recommend this hotel to absolutely anyone.

The apartments were ok, but swimming pool was very small and not much else at the apartments to keep the kids amused.
But we loved Palma Nova, the bars were full of families and the staff in the bars were lovely with the children, especially Kompas cafe on the front street, the kids loved the staff and the food.
The beach is lovely and clean, but have to watch out for the fruit sellers on the beach ripping people off, selling the fruit for a lot of money but not telling you the price until they have given you it.
We will be booking up again next year without a doubt.

The children that took part in the childrens club seemed happy and asthough they were enjoyin themselves as my brother was in it.
The pools are clean and everyone was having a good time getting involved in water polo (my dads the champ haha marti!!!) and races across one side of the pool to the other. The food in the buffet is fantastic. Theres noffin beta that u can ask for! All the clubs and bars and shops are all situated near to the hotel which is a great oportunity. Although this hotel is classed as being in Torrenova it is right on the edge of Magalluf!!!!! Which is fine if you’re single and 18 to 30. However we are married with a 4 year old daughter.
We booked this hotel as it was a Thompson super family which has a kids club, so we didn’t anticipate being woken up every morning by teenagers returning from clubs at 4 o’clock in the morning, shouting and swearing.
Even when you complain, you are told that you can move rooms but they had no intention of moving the teenagers. they believe it’s easier to move a family from room to room than it is to move teenagers who have less baggage and no children!!!!
That’s all my negative points stopped I promise.
Hotel in general was good, staff friendly and helpful(most of the time).
Food was also good, Migual who is the restaurant manager is superb, very friendly and helpfull.
Kids club was also superb, staff very very friendly and great with the kids, nice to know you can relax without the kids for a while and know they are being looked after.
Sunbed challenge in the morning is an event not to be missed, if your not running for the beds in the morning sit on the balcony and watch them all, its hilarious.

The hotel was spot on, it was very clean and the staff were very helpful and spoke good English.
The food was excellent and there was plenty of choice, the children’s buffet was a bit repetitive but there was always plenty to chose from the main buffet.
The entertainment for the kids were good but when you go in the school holidays you do have to que to put your children’s names down for the kids clubs which, is a bit disappointing to say how much extra it costs to go away in the school holidays.
I would recommend anybody with children to this hotel, we have just got home and have already booked to return in May 06.

The Marina Torrenova is an excellent hotel, its very clean, the staff are all very polite and helpful. We found the rooms to be comfortable and of reasonable size.
The restaurant is very good with a good choice of food every night, although the drinks in the restaurant were quite expensive.
The crèche for younger children was very good and handy if you want just a couple of hours to yourselves.
On a whole there was nothing we could fault with this hotel and we are returning to the marina Torrenova in August 2005.

The Marina Torrenova is in between Palma Nova and Magalluf which means you avoid the rowdiness of Magaluf’s centre, yet are still within walking distance of it, also you are nearer to Palma Nova’s beach (which beats Magaluf's!). In other words the location is fab!! The only disadvantage is that the hotel is set on a hill, but hey, it was great for the old calf muscles!
The hotel is very family orientated and there is loads of entertainment, especially for kids. Despite our holiday group being 5 girls in their early twenties we still enjoyed most of the entertainment and think it was preferable to staying in one of the 18-30s style hotels, which seemed a bit tacky!
Magaluf's nightlife is lively to say the least, but we never felt unsafe and a visit to BCM, the main club, is a must especially at only 17 euros to get in including drinks!!
Palma Nova is a very pretty place and the beachside bars are great for a relaxing lunch overlooking the sea. There are also plenty of shops, though the nightlife is much quieter than Magaluf's!
A visit to the water park is a must as is a trip into Palma!
Overall the holiday was really enjoyable and we would definitely return!

Great fun for all the family as its a super family hotel I have a 7 year old son who loved the evening entertainment and the kids reps. The pool area was great but need to get a sunbed early. The rooms were comfortable with TV and fridge free and a kettle to make that early morning cuppa.
The restaurant was lovely and clean and the food was great with kids having there own choice .kids clubs were good. The hotel is a 10-minute walk down the hill to Palma nova beach or 10 minutes to Magalluf beach but Palma nova is more for families.
Magalluf is a no go area after 9pm with kids its very busy as there is lots of bars wanting you to drink in even with the kids early evening is fine as there is lots of gift shops. Western water park is a must as its in resort a taxi will cost about 5 euro each.
Way Pirates is a big must been to adults only and family one adults can be a bit naughty not for kids family one was good fun for the kids take plenty of cash the extras for kids can be dear e.g. Swords bandannas ,programmes etc. The weather is also very good in July lots of hot sunshine, which will burn fair skin lots of cream needed for kids. Had a great time, hope you all have a great time like we did.

This hotel was one of the best hotels I’ve been to. There was 9 of us who went on our one week holiday with 2 children aged 6 and 2. The rooms were nice and cleaned every day, the food was great, the staff were so helpful and friendly and the Thomson reps were brilliant.
They work so hard with all the children, my kids fell in love with them all. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who has children. The only one thing I found wrong with the hotel was getting up at 7am to line up to put our towels out when the doors opened at 8am. Other than that I would definitely go back again..and again.
