i love the place beutiful rooms and great atnusfire i felt the real costa rica......

We decided to stay at the Tamarindo Yam based on reviews on tripadvisor, so we feel compelled to return the favor. We're happy to report that all the favorable reviews are true the hotel is a great find. The rooms are very big (living room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom), clean, modern, and with excellent air conditioning. Like another reviewer, I have never before been compelled to write a review. This place is too wonderful to remain a secret. The design of this beautiful hotel is very well done from the details of construction to the lay out of the rooms and pool. It is a short walk to the center of town and beach. It is a shorter walk to a nearby reserve where we saw monkeys on our first attempt. But the owners/hosts are the real gems. The Hotel Tamarindo Yam is fantastic. I have stayed in a few hotels in Tamarindo and Yam is definitely one of the very best. The rooms are beautiful with a full kitchen, dinning room, living room, bedroom and big bathrooms. The rooms are very clean, crisp, well thought out, spacious and air-conditioned. My sister and I stayed at Hotel Tamarindo Yam while attending the Coastal Spanish Institute. This hotel is gorgeous!! It has two floors with two full bathrooms, air conditioning, a kitchenette, and 2 TVs. It is within walking distance of everything including the beach, the school, the supermarket, and many great restaurants. The pool was perfect for sunbathing and relaxing. I read the reviews of The Yam on this site and was hopeful. Our travel plans were not definite regarding arrival in Tamarindo. We decided just take a chance to see if rooms were available. Ronnie met us at the gate with a smile and a welcome. The rooms were excellent and all of our questiones were answered helpfully. What a great property and people!

herd about the hotel from a frind who had alot of storeis about the hotel , thout he is a bit overdoing it but avery think he told me was less then true , great place great coteges and even better servise, if you look for a perfect vacation in costa rica this is the place to be. we were there 4 familleis in 4 coteges, sparcling cleen, avery buddy there smiles and eagers to help, rooms are the best i ve ever seen,. great traveling, serfing restorants and we were in walking distence from all.we will be there next year for sure.

The Tamarindo Yam hotel is an absolutely beautiful place to stay in Tamarindo. I stayed with 2 other people and it was more than enough room. The room had a full kitchen two separate rooms and 2 bathrooms. There is internet access 24 hours a day and phones in each room as well. There is a gate at the hotel and there is a security guard that watches the area all night so your stuff will be secure while your gone or you sleep. First of all i want to say that I have never wrote a review of any hotel that I have ever stayed at and i have stayed at places like the swissotel in chicago and other hotels of the same caliber. However this hotel blew me away! In fact it was not a "hotel" atmosphere at all. It was like it was my home away from home. It was a very spacious condo for the most part. I highly suggest staying at this hotel in Tamarindo. The place is beautiful, very comfortable and very clean. We had a two floor, two bedroom condo-like room with air-conditioning and TVs. The owners were so hospitable and gracious that I felt as though we were staying with friends. There is no restaurant in the hotel but a full kitchen if you want to cook if not plenty of restaurants near by. They also have laundry service, computer room and a pool! I've stayed at 3 other hotels in Tamarindo and this is by far the best.
