Silver Point Villa Hotel

We found the Silver Point on line and without any knowledge of the hotel booked. What a pleasant surprise! Granted the hotel (phase 1) is not ocean front but they make up for it and then some. The rooms are well appointed, comfortable beds, full sized refridgerator, plasma TV and DVD players. impecably clean and maintained. The furniture is what you'd want to see in the tropics, wicker and comfortable cushions. The balconys are breezy and a great place to sit and relax. After extensively researching accomodations in Barbados, I was willing to take a chance on the new Silver Point Villa Hotel after finding a great deal on Orbitz. Our six nights there turned out to be a wonderful experience! The hotel has 15 rooms across the road from the beach and the beachfront portion should be ready by the end of 2007. This hotel is NOT oceanfront! The second phase will be, but currently the rooms are across the street and you look over the phase II construction site to see the ocean. The location may be removed from other resorts and restaurants, but I would not say it is "secluded" because it is right in the middle of a ran-down neighborhood. We were not happy with the location and spoke with other patrons who also verbalized feeling the online descriptions were deceptive. Silver Point Villa was a great experience. The amenities were amazing...you have to have dinner on the day beds by the pool! The rooms were clean and service was prompt. The view of the beach and windserfers was beautiful. The staff is first class, not just for Barbados, but on par with the service we get back in the states. Head and shoulders above the rest, Damian. I can't wait until the new units are finished on the beach front. I will definitely be staying here again! Sweetness. :)

we had an amazing stay at Silver point hotel. we spent 6 nights there in february. The hotel and rooms are very modern and contemporary in style. We had a room on the top floor, which i think is probably the best room you can get there. The rooms have a very nice deck that we ended up having breakfast on some of the time. our room also had a kitchenette - so it's a good idea to stock the fridge with some waters and stuff as there isn't alot around for stores. we ate at the restaurant every day. the food was amazing and we... more

I have just spent a couple of days here and will recommend it to anyone. The friendliness of the staff, the gorgeous food, the lovely suite, the fab beach opposite, the great TV and DVD in the living room (great for a movie buff like me) plus the convenient location 10 minutes fom the airport and close to Oistins and St Lawrence Gap. Christchurch is a great base to explore the country as it's centrally placed for the east and west coast. Visited Barbados in January/February 2007, stayed at the Silver Point Villa Hotel for two weeks after reading the reviews here and in some other forums. I should have trusted my doubts because I haven't found neither any pictures of the facilities nor of the surroundings. Some of the pictures they show in the brochure are computer generated and don't show the reality. The hotel is still under construction and the only swimming pool available at the moment is very small. To get to the beach you have to walk through the building site on the other side of the road, where the next phase of the hotel is being built. There is a restaurant at the hotel, but apart from that, it is a long way from other restaurants. The suites are nicely finished and well furnished, and the staff very friendly and helpful.

How to describe our stay? Fabulous! We were taken back by the beautiful view and the rooms themselves. They were done tastefully, great attention detail and designed with comfort in mind. Gorgeous! The restaurant was amazing and the food parralled the Cliff in Barbados, and probably better. The duck was had by all and if we could of had it at least 4 more times we would. found this hotel after trawling tripadvisor, wanted south coast with a bit of class, and wasnt disappointed. The studio we had was fabulous, all of it, including the view. the service we recieved was exceptional and the food similarly so. At the moment they have just 15 studios and are working on a 2nd phase over the road, so whether they will be able to maintain this attention to detail once they have more rooms can only remain to be seen.
