Secret Cliff Resort & Restaurant

The resort is a nice resort and good for those who wants to be far from the crowd of phuket. when I arrived there, I was very excited and unpatient to see my room as I saw in pictures. unfortunately, arriving there, I was a bit disappointed. the room looks older and smaller than the pictures. I have booked the seaview room but i couln't see anything as there are big trees hiding the view. My husband and I booked ourselves into the basic deluxe ocean view room and we're extremely happy with it! Great view, enough balcony space and it's very quiet :) One great thing about the place is that there are not too many units on the resort and they are built to compliment the nature. Even though the place is only about a year old, they managed to maintain the greenery everywhere .. that's certainly the charm of this place. What can I say, the most romantic place I have been to. Right at the center of Patong and Karon, tucked away on a cliff. The perfect mixture of greenery, up and down pathways, open spaces, views from room balcony to die for. All the staff, so accommodating and helpful and pleasant. I reserved the garden view room, but they upgraded it to seaview, and by God, what a wonderful room it was; with special room arrangement for the honeymooners. The towel-swans and the rose petals. While staying at this basically very nice resort, we received a letter from the resort management, informing us, that the owner of the resort has changed. Then they invited us and most other guests for a meeting to give them our improvement ideas. It ended up that they told us that they have money problem and pressed us to pay US$ 10.000 and join a share scheme / Ponzi scheme. great location only 5minutes to patong and karong by moped whitch we hired from secret cliff we stayed in a family room it was very clean and tidy great value

We've been travelling to Phuket every year and each time we would check out new places such as Phang Nga, Krabi along side main Phuket. You name it and we would have probably been & stayed before. Beaches such as Patong, Karon, Kata, Surin, Bang Tao & Kamala. Phuket is indeed a wonderful place for relaxation. Speaking of Secret Cliff, it was really a nice unexpected stay. We stayed in a garden view room & thought it ain't as good or will be short changed as compared to a sea view room, which I believe most others would choose.... more

Feb 25th 2008 First bit of advice read "Loved it here" Dec 4th. This person has made an excellent review of this hotel and i would agree with everything they said except 2 things. I have added a few extra thoughts below but can honestly say that their review gives an accurate depiction. Fully recommend the Secret Cliff. 1. There is a path down to the beach, it takes about 5-10mins to get to the sand and it is a proper path not over rocks or steep. I found this hotel through Tripadvisor and then visited their website. One thing I really appreciate about a hotel is quick response and that's what I got for my emails. I should thank Tripadvisor partially for helping me find this hotel as its a real pearl on the coastline. The staff are extremely friendly and speak English very well. I also liked the Thai style interior of the room as it is quite cozy. The hotel is secluded and near the beach. I wish them best of luck and keep up the good work!
