Aug 2007, P Gale

We have just got back from 12 days staying at Sol Trinidad and the maid service and staff were excellent.
The location of Sol Trinidad was about as good as anyone could wish for with the beach only 50yrds across the road and B.C.M and B.C.M Square just around the corner.
We found the food to be a big let down!
Breakfast: The sausages were uncooked, the bacon was all stuck together and just full of rind, there was no mushrooms or tomatoes and no English cereals.
Dinner: The pasta was plain and boring with no sauces, pizza was the same toppings every night and some of the specials like, chicken, lamb, beef, pork, fish, lasagne etc all seemed to be swimming in too much gravy and sauces.
We found the swimming pool and area to be small and basic and the water dirty to swim in.
Although we really enjoyed our holiday we would not stay at this hotel again.

The hotel itself was clean and the maids came daily to change the towels and tidy beds etc.
I found the food repetitive and not very good, there was not much choice, and the food was not labelled clearly, so you could only guess what was in the sauces.
The main problem with this hotel was the guests who were mainly groups of leery yobs who threw chairs and even a TV out of patio windows, and generally caused a nuisance around the pool, although the hotel did appear to sort this out.
The hotel was central to the bars and a stone’s throw from BCM so expect a lot of noise, which does peak between 5am and 7 am.
As most of the guests were out all night the pool was generally lovely and quiet until the afternoon.
All in all this hotel best caters for people who want to be out all night and sleep all day.

Aug 2007, Ang & Jena Darnley

I stayed at Sol Trinidad with my teenage daughter for 5 nights from 29th July 07.
The hotel is in an excellent location, near to the strip, BCM and the beach. Apart from that I was not impressed with this hotel at all.
The staff know absolutely nothing about customer service. They are all very miserable except for the manager. The pool attendant, never saw him smile once. The people on reception was very unhelpful and abrupt, although the older guy was quite friendly.
Alright they may have to put up with some rowdy hen and stag parties, but I am 41 and my daughter 15.
There are not enough sunloungers around the pool (which is shaped like a coffin), which is quite apt as the pool attendant would be more suited to being an undertaker. He told me off, as we didn't know that we were not allowed to put our lilo in the pool... against hotel rules! He had also told a few young children off for this as well.
Our room was quite dirty and one of the hand towels had a stain on it when we arrived and it was still there when we left, although our room was made up each day.
The food was bland but edible but with so many places to eat nearby we didn't bother too much about that.
There was quite a lot of noise in the early hours of the mornings but if you were in your room you couldn't hear any of it.
We had a wicked time and really enjoyed our holiday. We met lots of friendly people (although we lost their email addresses... sorry about that if you are reading this guys, that’s why we haven't been in touch). We tended to meet up with different people for drinks in the evening on the balcony and then go out with them later as no-one goes out before 11pm.
We would definitely go back to the Sol Trinidad but only for the location. It was ideal for us and for young groups of friends but I would not recommend anywhere in Magaluf in July/August to families with young children, it is for anyone wanting to party constantly day and night!

Just returned from the Sol Trinidad,...

Aug 2007, Mrs Sue H

Just returned from the Sol Trinidad, which was an excellent hotel and great value for money. I stayed there for two weeks with my two sons aged 16 + 19. We usually go self catering in apartments nearby for the past 4 years, so we thought it would make a nice change to try this hotel.
Spacious clean room with TV etc, very friendly staff who worked really hard looking after us everyday and they also helped me to learn some Spanish.
This hotel should win an award for the best 4 star healthy food, plenty of fish, salad, desserts etc, which was all very well presented.
The restaurant/lounge areas are all non-smoking which is brilliant news. The drinks at the hotel were all reasonably priced.
Superb location near to the shops and the clean beach with boat trips. So many places to eat nearby. I spent every evening in the Plaza Café down the road dancing the night away to the best live singing in Majorca until 3am.
There was no need to go anywhere else for brilliant live entertainment. The two singers and the saxophone player were simply the best, then at 1am the Soul Singer started singing and his voice was amazing, like listening to a CD at home.
Above all the best holiday so far, I was really sad when this holiday ended, and will definitely be returning next year to this hotel for a second time.

Aug 2007, Mr ANDY TAYLOR

Well what can I say, what a fabulous place, we came to the Trinidad in June and had a right laugh.
The rooms are big and very clean. The food was ok but if you didn’t fancy the hotel menu there was a pizza hut and mc Donald’s just across the road.
The staff were very friendly and the hotel was a stone throw away from the beach.
There were 8 people who went in June and we are all going back in September to the Trinidad.
I have been to many hotels in Magaluf, but this hotel is far the best.
Roll on September!!!

Having just arrived home from the Sol...

May 2007, Mrs P White

Having just arrived home from the Sol Trinidad I felt it would be nice to let other people know about this hotel.
It is in a fabulous location in the heart of Magaluf, 5 minutes walk from the beach with the water park close by.
The hotel has an indoor swimming pool as well as an outdoor one and a separate one for the little ones to play in. There is a life guard on duty for peace of mind.
The hotel rooms were spotless and very spacious. Staff are friendly and the food is plentiful. Showers in your room were nice and hot whatever time of day you decided to use them.
We did get the odd group of rowdy lads which was soon attended to by the security guard, but that isn’t the hotels fault they can’t control who the holiday companies book into their rooms.
Magaluf is a loud resort so youngsters and oldies alike are there to party and have a good time, but we had no problems with sleeping we couldn’t hear the noise in our room.
If you have children with you there is no problems with you taking them into the bars they are all child friendly. I would definitely go there again.

May 2007, Mrs E Jacques

We have been going to the Sol Trinidad for 15 years; we went on the 14th of May 2007 for 1 week.
We found when we arrived, drunken yobs in rooms and around both pools, were badly behaving by swearing and pulling trousers down at 11am!
Police were called twice within 1 week; we had no sleep and had to also change rooms twice.
We believe now that the Sol Trinidad does not cater for families and their regular guests as it used to. So we are advising anyone with children or anyone wishing to have a quiet holiday to avoid this hotel at this moment in time.
Although the staff and hotel rooms and food is up to excellent standard, they seem to now to be catering for yobs.

The hotel was very clean and the staff there were friendly.
Overall Magaluf was great, my husband and I are in our 40´s so there are areas that we found were not for us, but the area around the hotel was great.
Benny Hill’s is a good night out, and if you’re looking for great food and friendly service try Tom Brown’s. We ate there nearly every night and didn’t get bored!

Jan 2006, Miss V Moffat

I visited the Trinidad in June with my boyfriend. We are both in our twenties and so enjoy the nightlife but want to have a good nights sleep upon returning to our hotel, also we had a restricted budget.
We found the Trinidad to be perfect, the location meant the beach was a couple of minutes walk, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms lovely. There did not appear to be too many younger people and so there was no excess noise of a night time. The food was lovely we found there to be such a huge selection every day that we hardly eat anywhere else whilst on holiday.
The package we booked was excellent value for money and I will definitely be going back in the future.

Jul 2005, Miss H O'Flaherty

I went to Sol Trinidad with a group of friends earlier this year. I was very pleased with the standard of the hotel. The rooms were comfortable, spacious and kept clean to a high standard. The staff were very friendly and willing to help. The balcony overlooked the two pools where evening entertainment was provided. In the background was the sea. Situated in the centre, the beach was only a minute’s walk away and the nightlife was close by too. The only downside was the food but nearby was littered with other places to eat, all of which were nice. MacDonald’s was right outside and open 24/7. The hotel food simply got repetitive but everyone else enjoyed it and I am a very fussy eater. There was a wide selection, which should satisfy most people.
