I have been goin to Magaluf for the past 5 years straight and have stayed in the Fiesta Hotels every year and its the place to be for Young and Lively holidays! In 2009 There were 6 of us girlies and we stayed at the tropico, Our Reps were fab the hotel team werent annoying like we had heard from other magaluf hotels and we had the time of our lives. We have booked up again for 2010 this year in the Jungla (another Fiesta Hotel) because it is cheaper this year as the Tropico has been taken over for Majjorca Rocks which looks like its gonna be ACE, (if we cuda afforded it we wuda booked up again for the Tropico). The apartments are all you need and all very similar within all the fiesta hotels, with two beds and a double sofa bed, with a fully functional kitchen and nice size balcony for drinks in the sun. In the Jungla and Tropico the pools are huge and brilliant for a bit fun round the pool with all the people you meet there or from the night before :) there are several bars and restaurants in the hotel and they are situated right next the spar shops for anything else you myt need. They are 2 minutes from the BCM and 5minutes from the beach and the start of the Maga STRIP !!
Would defo recommend this for any groups of guys or girls wanting a top magaluf experience !!!!

  • Advice: MAGALUF has a piece of my heart and 2010 will be my 6th year ITS FAB!

From the very start the free-style reps were hounding our group for money to go on rip off events such as booze cruises and pub crawls. They were demanding 300 euros for nothing in return and they wouldn't take no for an answer. They were very rude and pushy and treated us like children!
As for the hotel itself music during the day was rubbish and constantly on repeat. The security staff were very ignorant and they were overly strict on food and drink bought outside the complex.

I went to Magaluf and stayed at Fiesta Tropico in May 2009 with 3 other friends all aged 19, we had an amazing time...on arrival we were each asked to pay a deposit of 30euros, which if nothing was damaged during your stay you got back at the end of the holiday..our hotel room was basic but we werent paying for 5* hotel anyway so we werent fussed. we had no issues with cleanliness in our room or security, we paid to use the safe in our room and we never had anything stolen. the pool, staff and atomsphere were all great!
ive noticed that people have said that the hotel wouldnt let them out on their balcony after midnight, this isnt a hotel policy, its law out there now because of the amount of people falling off balconys after getting drunk, so the hotel cant be blamed for that. the hotel is perfectly situated, its not even a minute walk into town, and nightlife and the spar shop is just opposite the hotel. theres a cheap british restraunt called tom browns which is a few steps away and is ideal for english breakfasts to cure your hangovers. the beach is also about 5 minutes away and its gorgeous, the main strip however is about 15 minutes away and as long as u follow the beach you'll get there.. this hotel is ideal if youre after a cheap clubbing holiday as you wont be spending much time in the room, just look at it as more of a place to just keep your stuff and sleep occasionally :) if u want a family holiday this is NOT the hotel for you as you wont be getting much peace and quiet! but absolutly brilliant for clubbing holiday, would recommend to anyone...hope this has helped.

I have just got back from a week at the fiesta (fresh) tropico with 12 women aged between 19 and 42. Im 21 and loved the tropico along with the younger ones while a few of the older ones disagreed. I wouldnt recomend this holiday to anyone wanting a peacefull night or even day around the pool. It is deffonatly for the younger or young hearted adults. The only thing that let the hotel down was having to pay 30euro deposit per person per room, we did ask thomson if we had to do this before we went on holiday and they reassured us we didnt yet when we got there we did. We didnt recieve a welcome pack or anything on arrival so missed out on a few trips but the reps were great when we needed them. The pool area was fantastic pleanty of sunbeds even around dinner time. Music all day around the pool which livens things up. not allowed to eat own food or drink around the pool but this is at alot of hotels now, something to do with tax. Woken up a few times through the night but what do u expect in magaluf? Nothing stolen or broken into as the other reviews warned about. Overall a great hotel. would deffonatly and am going back next year. Magaluf is too a great area, would recommened the Happy house for great english food and lovely staff if anyone goes say hello to gemma and the team from the 12 Gy girls. The strip and square make a great night out for the younger ones and if you go the other end of magaluf theres more fun pubs and family bars like Manos place which we wish we had found earlier in the holiday because the staff are great there,, lots of free shots. Overall a fantastic holiday apart form 3 days of rain

  • Advice: deffonatly go to the happy house for great service a hot waitor and brill food

Stayed at the tropico in august 09, had an amazing time, the appartments are basic but clean and have everything you need for a clubbing holiday in magaluf! the pool was so much fun in the day, the hotel is mainly a freestyle hotel so the pool was full of young people having fun. wouldnt recommend for a family holiday as is very lively, through to the early hours of the morning.
The hotel has a snack bar with good food and lovely staff.
One of the best holidays Ive had!!brilliant!!

I stayed in the Fiesta Tropico for 12 days and I can't fault it one bit. The staff wwere great, the hotel was clean! The only thing was that there wasnt any air con in the room, but this was made up with a celing fan, which was good. Rooms were very clean and after they got cleaned by the staff they were spotless. Hotel is mainly young people, wouldnt advice families to stay there, would advise them to stay at the Fiesta Sahara across the road as that is the family hotel. Had a brilliant 12 days in the hotel and outside the hotel.

Beware not secure

Security is non existant. We were told by a security guard on arrival not to use safety deposit box as over 20 were broken into the week before. On the first night both our rooms were broken into along with several other rooms on the same floor, all our money stolen. No signs of entry but we found out that all doors could be unlocked using any credit card or similar. Hotel staff were totally unhelpful and stated it was not their problem. Police treated us as though we were the criminals. Stay clear of this hotel!!

This hotel was brilliant, everything was really clean and the reps were fantastic! They were always willing to help out. I had my doubts after staying in a hotel in zante last year but the hotel here lived up to expectations. the only flaw is that it has no air conditioning, however its not completely unbearable and apart rom that, it's flawless.
Its quite loud from about 11 til 5am, and our first night was loud til 7am, so don't stay here if you want a good night sleep!
Bring plenty of money as you will need food and its not exactly cheap.
It was so brilliant we will be returning next year! Definately worth the money!

Noisy hotel, tacky and pushy resort

We booked the Fiesta Tropico on a last minute deal so it was very cheap, but to be honest I wish I'd saved my money and not bothered.
Having been to Torre Nova which is close by a while ago, and really enjoying it, I didn't see a problem with Magaluf - how wrong I was!!
The hotel was fairly clean and tidy, with a nice pool area, but this was totally ruined by the ridiculously loud awful music that pumped out of the bar all day long until midnight. We couldn't even sit on the balcony in the evenings as we couldn't even hear each other speak!! Therefore we went to the (quite nice) local beach every day, and paid 10 euro for a sunlounger, instead of being able to relax by the pool.
The worst thing about this hotel was the people staying there. I was ashamed to be British. Every night there was loads of noise, from 2am - 7am, with people running around the hotel, shouting and screaming and banging on doors, dropping rubbish all over the floor and smashing windows and lights. The police were even called one night, and you could hear the security guards walkie talkie all night as he tried to keep control of the animals that were staying there. Why on earth no one got kicked out I don't know - it seemed like 80% of the hotel behaved in this way. We tried complaining to reception, but they seemed totally jaded by the whole thing, and there were never any reps around, except when they wanted to try to sell you Pirate trips (they really didn't want to take no for an answer!!)
I would never go back to this resort, which is a shame as the beaches nearby are really nice, Palma Nova and Torre Nova have some nice friendly places to eat, but Magaluf is vile and all too much like hard work.

AMAZING!

The hotel was perfect, everything was clean when we got there and everything in working condition!
The reps were amazing, REALLY friendly and helpful throughout the whole holiday!!! Had a welcome meeting where we paid for the freestyle pass. DEFFO worth it if you planned on getting free drinks and offers to all the good clubs and bars! Saving a lot of money as well.
Weather was perfect everyday, and the hotel is a 5 minute walk from the beach, if that.
I WANT TO GO BACK!
would recommend it to anyone!!! I loved every second.
