Me and 4 friends stayed at Fresh Magamar in January 2011 and had a brilliant time!! the hotel was nice and clean and staff veru helpful. read some of the bad reviews before heading out but really found it amazing!
would recommed it to anyone. we have already booked up to go again in July!

helloo there!! right let me get everything sorted out for all you people who are really worried about magamar!! yeah the rooms are really baisic but you only sleep in em!! they are fine and clean!! the staff where helpful because we didnt kno what bus to catch and they helped us they even orderd a taxi for us coz we couldnt understand the taxi ppl!!! and the reps are out of this world!!! always go outta their way for ya!!! i really reccomend taking up the package the reps offer ya in the introduction its brill!!! you get pirates, speed boat ride, bcm, boomerang, entery to water park (which is litterly around the corner!!!) popcorn party, foam party and school daze,and lots of other little bits! for about 110 euros well worth it!!!! its a scream pirates is a must for everyone such an atmosphere and the speedboat ride!!!! WOW!! i must sat tho boomerang is a better nightclub than BCM just enjoy yourself have a good one ...... and oh yeah the beach is lovely. get a peddle boat while your there, try to reach the little island !! you will kno what i mean when you get there!!

After reading everyones comments i'm abit unsure as to whether the Fiesta Magamar is a good place to stay?! Me and my friends are staying there June 2006 -we're all turning 18 at the moment and will be our first holiday alone - without parents! We based our holiday on it being cheaply priced, with a hotel in a lively location and a basic room. Seems to me as if we've got all that, but some people are saying the Magamar is 'scruffy' and prison like? Could anyone give me any advice on what clubs and bars to go to and whether Pirates is decent enough for us girls to go to, thankss x

We stayed at the magamar from the 15th to 22nd october and we loved it! We had read some bad reviews about and although they were in high season we still had our worries. Although the hotel is built like a prison it looks big and spacious and welcoming it just makes everything 10 times louder no matter where you are in the building you can hear everything! We went for a relaxing week with a few bars to drink at in the evenings and no mad crowds of tanked up drunks which exactly what we got, it was great. We went as two couples and found just enough people to make it busy but not too many as it was end of season, there was only one club open which was bananas and was ok but murphys was great every night with 4 double vodka red bulls and a pitcher of vodka red bull for 20 euros! The hotel was just out enough not to be noisy, great location really as some of the hotels especially the sol chain hotels were in the middle of all the noise which would have annoyed us big time. About a 10-15 minute walk to mains strip once you find the way but bars and restaurants 2 mins walk which is where we started for dinner at night, we strongly recommend bar moon around the corner from the hotel if you turn left coming out, its right next to the fiesta sahara and tropico. Although you could use the facilities at these we never went in as there were too many kids! The pool at the magamar is really crap and we never went too close and went to the beach instead which is fantastic, 2.5euros for a lounger which are good but make sure he doesnt make you pay for the umbrella aswell as they are 2.5 euros too, unless you want one. We walked into palma nova twice which is bout 20 mins to half an hour but seems ages good shops on the way, make sure you go to golf fantasia in palma nova which has 54 holes mini golf but you can play 18, 36 or 54 but its great just follow the signs from magaluf, warning you cant walk along the beach as when you get to torrenova it becomes a rocky cliff and you cant get round though we tried! There is also an island about a mile out which youve gotta go to on a pedallo (9 euros) takes about half hour each way, good views but hurts legs! Brill place to go, def stay at the magamar again as although noisy you learn to ignore it but def wouldnt go in high season it would be too mad! Want to go back asap!

I am just recently back and thought the magamar apartments were great! i was abit concerned abit the read ups but when i got there i had no idea what people were talking about! i would not recomment older people to these apartments as it gers very loud! perfect for young ones! anyone who is due to stay dont worry! the appartments were great!

If you are looking for a hotel with constant noise and no sleep for the length of your stay this is the place for you. The majority of the guests were on stag weeks and the only excursions offered were to nightclubs, strip shows and a booze cruise. The design of the hotel is such that noise echoes around the hotel to every floor from the reception up. The bar closes at 12am and the only place to get refreshments after that is from machines. Most of the guests appear to be nocturnal, and on one night were having a hall party until 7am. The decor is very minimal and uninviting, almost clinical and the staff were particularly unhelpful on the day we checked out. The apartment itself was very nice, clean and plenty of space. No cooker or microwave though and the toaster was possessed. The hotel is well located with only a 10 minute walk to the beach, where we spent most of our holiday. The pool area is very barren with no plants or landscaping and the pool is very small. Each apartment has it's own hot water tank which only contains enough for 2 showers. This meant that on check out day when we had to pass 14 hours with no room, we were offered a room to shower in for half an hour for 3 people. By the time we got to use the room there was no hot water, and we were offered no clean towels. The previous users of the room had left the bathroom in a disgusting state so we had to spend 10 mins cleaning the place up enough for us to use. We nicknamed the Magamar Magaluf Youth Detention Centre. To call it Alcatraz would have suited the hotels appearance very well. If you're into clubbing all night and only require a room to use as a base this is perfect. If you want a quiet, relaxing and comfortable hotel I advise you avoid the Fiesta Magamar like the plague.

Had a great time at the magamar apartments, even though was slightly worried with all the bad reviews!! The complex is like a prison and a bit noisy, but we really werent bothered for the amount of time we spent in there!!! The rooms are really basic, but didnt really need much more!!! The only thing i would advise is to take a mirror as there was only one in the whole apartment!!! and the lighting is quite dark!!! The reps were really friendly and helpful, and i would recommend going on the nights out with the reps as they are a good laugh and you get to avoid all the pr's on the strip it is a nightmare getting pass them especially if you are drunk. The catamaran and pirates was our favourite nights out!!! The hotel is in a great location bout 5 mins walk from the strip and the beach, unless you are drunk then you tend to get lost because all the streets look the same!!! I would advise going to BMC'S where you pay 20 euros and get all your drinks free and free gifts if you get in before 12!!! they also do brilliant foam partys and water partys!!! Boomerangs and carwash are also really good!!! Theres load of places to eat included pizza hut, mcdonalds and burgerking, but if you dont want fast food then i would recommend tom browns, english food at cheap prices and you get a free drink!!! and just round the corner from the hotel!!! The pool area is quite small and the pool is frezzing, so we spent most of the time on the beach!!! overall i would go back to the magamar apartments again i went with 8 other people and they all had a great time

what a hell hole,we stayed here and i could not wait to get home after the first night,there where deck chairs thrown from the rooms in to the trees,this was a holiday from hell,i thought it was a police staion because the police where there all the time ,i would not tell anyone to go here it was a dump and needed closeing down ,the room was really tatty,this has got to be the worsed hotel in the resort stay clear from it ,id would rather sleep on the beach,i can not say how bad this hotel is in words ,and i dont know why they send people there //// beware ////

I went with 45 lads on a stag weekend , well were shall i start .? This hotel caters for every bit of excitment you can ask for . Loads of booze people coming home all hours , couples everywhere in the moon light , 24 hour party mood , if you went you wouldn't be disappointed as the staff are friendly they even joined in in our parties like throwing tables and chairs off of the balconies . Loads of naked people running around early hours of the morning and during the day . So what more can i say this hotel can entertain you for hours no matter what your age.!! We went in september 2004

A very poor hotel/apartment complex with constant noise echoing about and fighting in the corridor till late morning! The bar was ok, but the pool area looked tired. I would rather go to a real prison than go back to the magamar. Nice reps though!
