When we first arrived at the Magamar...
10 / 10
Feb 2007, Mr JJ Edwards

When we first arrived at the Magamar we thought it looked like a death camp, but this was not the case.
As a group of 15 young lads we had a great time. The room was a dump but that didn’t matter.
The pool was always bouncing and there was definitely no chance of getting any sleep.
The room was basic but was clean, the view was great and there were always tunes on.
Do not go here if you like to sleep because there’s no chance of any.
I will warn you though; this hotel is not for the faint hearted, I saw chairs and tables go over the balcony one morning.
Make sure you lock your rooms because I caught a someone going through me suitcase one day.
Do not go here if you like to sleep because there’s no chance of any. Overall the Magamar is good, cheap, basic holiday.
Do not go here if you have any morals!

This hotel is a 2 star hotel and it...
3 / 10
Nov 2006, Mr P Crone

This hotel is a 2 star hotel and it really shows. I expected a good clean room with no fuss. What I got was a dingy cell with little natural lighting.
The whole place is depressing. From the moment we turned up the staff were unhelpful and looked fed up with tourists. During the holiday we didn’t see any cleaners. The facilities weren’t great either. The pool is very small and the sun terrace isn’t the most attractive.
On the other hand Magaluf is fantastic with everything for everyone. Clubs, bars, food was all varied and good. Would def go back to Magaluf just no t the Magamar.

This hotel is absolutely amazing....

Nov 2006, Mr Nath Evans

This hotel is absolutely amazing. Ignore the bad reviews from the borin people above, if your 18-25 your gona love it.
The atmosphere in this hotel is bangin 24 hours a day. Don’t expect much sleep as people filter in at all hours, but I just slept by the pool in the day ready for another night of action.
You get music all day and games by the pool which was bangin and the reps were lovely and joined in the fun. The hotel even arranges strippers before you go out which was brill. It’s a non stop party all day and all night here.
As for Magaluf itself what a place for the younger generation. Non stop party mode, id recommend BCM absolutely amazing hosts all the special events and Boomerangs where I met the FHM girls get in.
But then every pub and club is banging. I loved Magaluf and the Magamar so much that I'm goin back in 2007 for more, see you all there and remember sleepin is cheatin!

Not the best hotel I have ever stayed...
3 / 10
Nov 2006, Mr D Grundy

Not the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Things were a bit naff if I’m to be honest. As soon as you walk into the place you think prison.
I was told about this but it really does feel as though Bea Smith and Lizzy Birdsworth could be in the room next to you. They could do with employing Vera Bennett to control what she would call the animals as they seemingly run riot without a care for anyone else.
Pool was really bad but didn’t know until it was too late that you could use the Jungla`s pool as they are all the same group.
Won’t be stopping there again. Nuff said

I’m afraid to say that I won’t...

Nov 2006, Mr B Peel

I’m afraid to say that I won’t ever stop at the magamar again! Everything about this hotel is a shambles. Lunatics that are seemingly just allowed to run riot without any consequence.
Rooms are at best shabby and dingy with very poor lighting. The place looks like an episode of bad girls. Downstairs near the pool area always seemed dirty and the tiles were always sticky as though something had been spilt on them but never cleaned up. Maid service if there was one never visited our room once during the week we were there. Freestyle reps were interested in one ting and that was selling which to be fair is what they are there for.
Only saving grace is the closeness to the pubs and clubs but beware that you have to pass another hotel (think it was the jungla) on your way there and you do get missiles of all sorts thrown at you. Bottles were the flavour of the day. Magaluf nightlife was excellent though and couldn’t be faulted pity we had to return to such a dump afterwards.

Just returned from a week's holiday...
2 / 10
Oct 2006, Ms J Horton

Just returned from a week's holiday at the Magamar which we booked last February for a girlie week when we thought it may be reasonably quiet! First impression was of a prison, and as we found out later whilst having no sleep at all on the first night, the design of this place amplifies the noise more so. There were youngsters shouting and screaming across the corridors, running up and down, and on this particular night there was a riot in the lobby when the police were called. It eventually quietened down about 6.ooam.
Next day we saw the Thomson rep and asked to be moved to another hotel, at which she said it should quieten down during the week and did we not know that it was an 18-30's accommodation. We were never informed of this during the booking process, so we decided to stick it out and see what happened. It only slightly improved as the rep told us they had had quite a few evictions after that night, but it still continued to be noisy. The clubs turn out at about 4.00 so the worst time was between 4 and 5. There's still noise heard from the lobby and doors banging once they have eventually found their apartment. We managed to try to get sleep during quieter times in the afternoon and even then you could still hear the snooker balls!
The only good thing about the place is the view we had from the apartment and because we were on the end of the block we had one lot of neighbours who we got on well with once we had complained about their noise on the first night. They had one warning and they calmed down considerably.
Magaluf became claustrophobic after a while as there is no decent food i.e. all English and spent a day in Palma where I could have a decent Paella. We eventually found that we could eat in the nearby Fiesta Sahara hotel where there is a good hot/cold buffet, an excellent choice and excellent food for 7 euros which I highly recommend. Their menu is posted on the board that the Magamar.
I shall return to Mallorca at some time in the future, but not to Magaluf, it seems past its sell by date, though some good pubs we found to be the Britannia, Arfurs, Balmoral where the staff were friendly.

Not the best hotel I’ve been in....
5 / 10
Oct 2006, Mr W Mardle

Not the best hotel I’ve been in. Been to the aqua sol and Barceló Palma Nova before and these were much better, cleaner, brighter, safer than the Magamar. Seems it is just a hotel to put the rowdy lot.
If you want that then that’s fine. hotel staff I hardly saw other than at the front desk and we didn’t have one cleaner in our apartment for the whole week of our apartment (probably because they were that busy cleaning smashed beer bottles and other stuff that was strewn around the place. Magaluf itself is really good.
Great range of everything for all people to do. and BCM`s cant be beat at 23 euros all you can drink. Great holiday but id rather it been another hotel next time

This year me and 11 friends stayed in...

Oct 2006, Miss Nikki C

This year me and 11 friends stayed in the Magamar hotel and it was absolutely amazing! Best place you could ever go if you want a good, fun, sleepless, boozy holiday! Fantastic. The hotel had a great atmosphere and wasn’t very strict on the young people but I think because of that then that made everyone get on a lot easier!
The rooms were great! Big enough and the maids came in frequently. The pool was a bit small but to be honest, who really cares? Because we were mostly at the beach anyway. But whenever we were at the pool, the atmosphere just made it worthwhile to go to!
The Fiesta Magamar is an absolute legend of a place! Hail the Magamar! If you want to party in Magaluf, then choose the Magamar.

A very good holiday and an excellent...

Oct 2006, Mr S J Dunbar

A very good holiday and an excellent location, so close to all the nightlife. When I got there I realised that this place was the place that I booked for my parents some 11 years ago.
Even then they said it was good (despite their age), it really does cater for the 18-25s but I am 38 and I loved it.

Very pleased with the Magamar, Rooms...

Oct 2006, Mr Liam Williams

Very pleased with the Magamar, Rooms where excellent although the maids didn’t come one day for us which I didn’t like has I didn’t have a clean towel, ah well!
But overall a fantastic hotel for the younger generation, the freestyle reps where great and didn’t force you into buying any excursions unlike 18 to 30's reps.
Poolside was fantastic, great music and refreshments. Would definitely go back there again!

The Magamar might as well be a hut to...

Oct 2006, Mr M Evans

The Magamar might as well be a hut to house lunatics! I myself am 20 yrs old and loved Magaluf. It had everything you wanted for a clubbing holiday. Nightlife is fantastic and activities quality.
The Magamar however is at best a room in which to put your things. Pool was shabby with the ladder to get out of loose (I could if I used it easily put it from its fixing) the room itself wasn’t very bright and not many things worked. Shower was dodgy and we had problems locking our French door. There were some nice people there who we got along with but they were far outnumbered by what I can only call idiots.
We saw a whole coffee table go over the balcony one night. Then there were the bottles that went from balconies on a regular basis. I would go Magaluf again but not to the Magamar!

Unbelievable!!!!! Me and 3 other lads...

Oct 2006, Mr D Kelly

Unbelievable!!!!! Me and 3 other lads from Newcastle stopped at the magamar this year and had the time of our lives.
Both water parks are great, pirates was unreal and the clubs and bars were all jumping.
Magamar is perfectly put for everyone who stays there to get to all of these things available and the hotel itself was quality.
The reps were all helpful and friendly and up for a laugh...the cleaners were all decent as well apart from the coming in at 9 in the morning (which was our fault not there’s)
We're definitely going back next year!
