What a fabulous find in Grenada, West Indies--Maca Bana Villas! When my husband and I were planning a trip to the Caribbean, we searched for a destination that would be restful and relaxing. And did we ever find it! Our incredible two-bedroom, two-bath villa (Mango) complete with gourment kitchen, hot tub, and a deck that wrapped around the entire villa was amazing. My husband and I stayed at Maca Bana at the beginning of November 2007 on our honeymoon. We wanted somewhere quiet and luxurious and away from the crowds. We decided not to go for an all-inclusive place, as we prefer the choice to do our own thing with food, and wanted somewhere with more of a personal touch. Maca Bana was a very positive surprise to me as a dedicated luxury hotel dweller. The accommodation (Rock Fig) was very well equipped with a bedroom,kitchen and bathroom. The bedroom had a window seat with a stunning view of the Caribbean. The highlight was the outside patio with a genuine hot tub,again with stunning views.The daily maid service was very good and the General Manager will organise car hire, recommend restaurants etc. The grounds are also well laid out and landscaped. My husband I just returned from much too short 5D/4N anniversary trip to Grenada. We stayed at the Maca Bana villas [--]. **Maca Bana Villas** Words cannot describe our experience here. My wife and I and our two kids stayed at Maca Bana for six days at the beginning of August. This 7 villa establishment is absolutely fantastic. Owners' Rebecca and Uli have gone out of their way to ensure that the villas are incredibly well equipped and comfortable. There is a central infinity-edge swimming pool around which the villas are clustered and each of them in turn have their own hot-tubs. July 7-14, 2007, My wife and 17-yr. old son stayed in "Coconut" villa at Maca Bana. We had chosen Maca Bana (MB) because we wanted no part of a crowded and threadbare resortish place. We were delighted beyond our expectations with our stay. First, about the lodgings....MB is new and sparkling clean. Grenada and Maca Bana are the best! We stayed at Maca Bana for our honeymoon in late April 2007. The property and the villas are simply fantastic. We were in Paw Paw the one bedroom perched on a cliff with the most amazing view of any place I have ever stayed. Maca Bana was an ideal place to stay during our wonderful trip to Grenada... Initially, we were a bit apprehensive about the airport's proximity to the villas (it is only 1/4 mi away). As it turns out, air traffic noise was never an issue. In fact it was quite the opposite: the property is very quiet, serene and private- perfect for a relaxing getaway! First off, we will never forget this trip! The setting of the villas are incomparable! We stayed in Paw Paw and our hot tub literally sat at the edge of a cliff overlooking the Caribbean. Can it really get any better than that? And the villa itself was beautiful. Lovely appointments, very comfortable bed, and a wonderful kitchen. And because of its location high up, there were always trade winds to keep us cool (the AC worked well too) and most of the bugs away.
