Eurotal Golf Punta Rotja Hotel

The Eurotel Punta Rotja is situated in a quiet area with pine wood hills in the rear and the sea to the front. It is a large building of simple, fairly outdated-looking 70ies “shoe-box” character. The gardens and outdoor pool areas are pretty nice and looked-after (compliments to the gardener!), and the sea views from the small non-sandy beach are nice, too. We have just returned from a wedding in Deia, Western Mallorca. For the first night of our long weekend we stayed in Palma City, but having not been to Mallorca before, we decided to drive to the East Coast on Saturday. This hotel is in a quiet residential area in Costa De Los Pinos, Mallorca. When first viewed it looks like a bit of a concrete block, but it is fab. The staff are friendly, the food great (we had half board). There are beautiful gardens, shade provided by pine trees. Good pool area and a beach area. We stayed May/June 2006 and will go back again

We have just returned (May 2006) from a lovely week at Eurotel. We choose this hotel following the previous reviews and I dont have a lot to add. However the following would be useful tips. 1. The hotel was built in 1966 so looks slightly dated from the outside, however it has been beautifully updated inside and is very comfortable. Eurotel is located in amongst the pine trees just a couple of miles north of Cala Bona on the island of Majorca. We have just returned from an 11 night stay at the hotel and enjoyed every minute of it. The cleanliness throughout the hotel is unrivalled, there is a wide choice of food to suit all tastes (although the variety can be a bit repetitive), the air-conditioned rooms are of a high standard and the bed linen and towels are changed regularly. We've been visiting this part of Mallorca for approximately 40 years and have stayed in the Eurotel for many of those! We now book directly with the hotel and reserve the same rooms for us and our 3 children. As we live close to Heathrow we fly direct to Palma from terminal one with British Midland. This makes our holiday a little more affordable as with 5 in the party, it always costs so much more to travel with a company such as Sovereign. On our second visit, we booked the trip independently after our first trip through Thomson. The hotel is peaceful, quiet with fantastic gardens and pool area overlooking the sea. Staff are friendly and efficient and food is good. The hotel has a mix of nationalities staying there and very few children. The hotel's motto is "there are few places in the world as peaceful as this one" and they are right. This is the perfect place for a quiet, relaxing stay away from the main resorts.
