go for the cooking courses
from Lawyer/Exporter
My husband and I stayed at the hotel because we wanted to do the cooking course for 3 days. It was held in a lovely kitchen at the pool/ garden oasis owned by the hotel and about 10 mins. away. We made superb Moroccan dishes in the mornings and then were served them at the pool for lunch. We then swam/snoozed and returned to the hotel at about 3.30 to explore the medina in the cooler part of the day.The hotel was superb and the jazz bar, with its pianist/singer and light menu was gorgeous. We had a lovely suite and I although the decor in...

Comfortable Ryad in a Busy City
from Frigga212
We spent 4 nights of our recent honeymoon at La Maison Arabe in Marrakesh. We arrived late in the evening at the Marrakesh airport, but the riad arranged for our pick up (the driver was waiting with a sign - cost was about $15). The riad is located inside the Marrakesh medina and offers some comforts of a larger, more traditional hotel. We had TV and mini-bar in the room, and as there is common computer near the lobby for free Internet access. The rooms in the Riad were very nice, and a bit more hip than the average riad in other...

Luxurious and calm hotel
from Rouby Lou
Stay at La Maison Arabe if you want to be in luxurious, tranquille surroundings allowing you to forget the hustle and bustle of Marrakech (you won't want to leave the hotel!). A wonderful find which you will not be able to fault (we will return one day). We had a lovely 2 night visit which meant we ended our stay in Morocco in style and comfort. Lovely breakfast, and dinner was excellent too. Fabulous bar - go for a cocktail even if you aren't staying there. Book it, you'll love it. If you want to go to the pool, it is a 15 mins...

An absolute gem !
from jvparis
My wife and I have been several times to Morocco, and La Maison Arabe is, by far, the best hotel we've stayed in. It is an absolute gem, decorated in a tasteful mix of Moroccan and European styles. Our very comfortable room ("Nour") had 2 private terraces. The beautiful swimming pool and gardens are not adjacent to the hotel -- one takes the hotel's shuttle service to get there (it took around 15 minutes). We thought in advance that this might be a "negative", but in fact were delighted to have such a paradise at our disposal --...

Why is this dump so famous?
from Vuittonsofstyle
Why is this awful hotel so famous? Surely not just because Andrew Harper recommends it? I booked direct, getting a 10% Q-Club discount from Andrtew Harper Hideaway Report. I could not believe how awful this hotel was!! Those of you who rave about it must never have stayed anywhere else. The carpets on the stairs were loose, so we had to be really careful. The carpet in our suite was threadbare and dangerous - we both tripped up every time we walked past. The furnishings were tired and dated. The bathroom was so tiny that only one person...

Peaceful, civilized and languid
from orangeblossom67
We stayed in Sept 2006 on our honeymoon. The staff here were so helpful, yet gentle and unobtrusive. Reception staff were very welcoming and bar staff really friendly and knowledgable. The Moroccan restaurant was well served and offered a delicious range of traditional meals - accompanied by the amazing musicians - Khalid & Khalid. With the scent of cinnamon in the air and their passionate gypsy guitar pervading our senses, they were meals we will never forget! We took a cookery course in Palmeria arranged by the hotel, which...

Superb Service - What a Party !
from .-.
I have just spent a fabulous weekend staying with friends and family at La Maison Arabe. The hotel was superb. The decor / ambiance were excellent, full of character often missing in larger hotels. Each of the rooms was different, each well decorated spacious and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was excellent, the bar well stocked and varied. It was the service however that differentiated La Maison Arabe - they could not have been better. The staff were pro-active, friendly and took care of our every need. They...

Fantastic hotel in good location
from Frqnt-trvller
We just came back from a 4-day trip to Marrakesh. The hotel is located in the Medina and only a 10-15 minute walk to the main square (Fnaa) and the souks. We were able to walk to all the main sites by foot. The hotel itself is lovely and finished to a high standard. We stayed in a suite and a luxury double room (we were 6 girls, all with high standards) and were not disappointed. What a relief to return to the hotel after a hot and dusty day of sight-seeing in the city! The rooms and bathrooms were luxurious, spacious, and clean, and...

Full bliss at La Maison Arabe in Marrakech
from A TripAdvisor Member
Luxe, calme et volupté. A sublime experience. La Maison Arabe located in the Marrakech medina is the most exquisite place we've ever stayed in. The rooms are beautifully decorated, the food is fantastic and the service outstanding. My wife who never spends any time in the kitchen in New York attended cooking workshops in their heavenly garden/swimming pool annex. And she loved it!. We'll definitely go back next year.
Superb, the most relaxing and comfortable place in a magnificant city
from A TripAdvisor Member
We had a great week. Everything you can imagine was there and even more, such a great place to stay within walking distance of the lively city centre. The rooms are beautiful, the service is great, they do everything fo you, the food is excellent (the tapas are fantastic. And you must try the Hamman, small, but very nice and cosy. I guess the previous reviewers just had bad luck with the fish, even in Holland you can get sick with fish .... and even if you ask them they will give you great tips for eating outside. This hotel...
