Hotel Oasis

My wife and I have recently returned from a trip to Nice, where we stayed at the Oasis. We were very pleased with this small hotel which represented excellent value for money. The proprietors are Scottish and could not be more friendly or helpful. Tariff is B&B with a continental breakfast which can be taken outside if required. Our room was small but modern with TV,hairdryer,AirConditioning,Fridge and balcony overlooking the courtyard. It is peaceful despite the adjacent housing. We'll be back!

Super value hotel, in great location,short walk to railaway station and sea front.Clean rooms and friendly welcome from excellent staff who made us at home.Lovely gardens which we had breakfast in.Really could not fault anything about this hotel ,having stayed in several hotels in Nice we shall return to this one!

I had the missfortune of booking this "Hotel" for 10 Days in September and it was a great let down considering some of the "reviews" in here. I would say that the more realistic opinions were of the 1* rating. Although Nice itself was lovely, the hotel let us down. I will return to Nice but NOT to the same hotel. 1* is a generious opinion.

Easily the best hotel I've stayed in in France. French toilets do make me nervous so was especially delighted by the brand sparkling new bathrooms. Staff were so friendly. They gave us fab suggestions of what to do and where to eat and really made our visit to Nice perfect. Great location, beautiful garden setting, a real treat. My friends and I are booking another trip as soon as we can co-ordinate diaries.

This "Hotel" is just dreadful. I think that pretty much says it all.

Just found this website and wanted to review an excellent hotel I stayed at with my boyfriend last summer. The Hotel L'Oasis in Nice is great for weekend breaks - friendly staff (great barmen who brought us drinks all afternoon in the lovely hotel garden), good sized rooms and perfectly located in Nice for easy access to all that's going on. I'm definitely going back!

I have to say this, some of the reviews in here are dodgy to say the least. I visited the oasis last year after reading the reviews in here and was extremely dissapointed in the hotel. I was given a room in the anex part of the hotel and it was terrible. The french staff were extremely unhelpful, the standards were poor at best, and when I arrived was told I was booked into another hotel and not this one. I thought it was poorly run at best. 1* is a more accurite depiction of this place. Enough said I think.

I simply am astonished and the majority of the reviews in here. I stayed at this hotel recently and found it sorely lacking in every department. I was dissapointed in the standards here and found it dirty and unkempt. The staff were unhelpful and lazy too.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel in Oct. It was really lovely It has a lovely little courtyard where you can have Breakfast and sit at night reading or having a quiet drink The hotel is run by a man and wife team who are really helpfull but very unobtrousive I must say that we had one of the best rooms in the hotel but we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel to anyone

We loved the location, the staff and the whole experience. Next time we'll book a room with a balcony - the room we were given was classed as a small double, and a wee balcony would have turned a great stay into a perfect one. Go to the Negresco hotel, at the foot of the road, for a drink, if only to see the toilets!
