Hotel Felix

After reading the nice reviews of this hotel we decided to book a studio room over the internet. Upon arrival, the hotel owner made us pay upfront BEFORE seeing our room (BIG MISTAKE), which is not normally hotel practice (you usually pay at the end). He gave us the key to our room and instead of directing us upstairs in the hotel, he told us our room was "in a different location about 500 metres down the street". I have once again spent my vacation at hotel Felix in Nice and I must say that it is charming. The rooms are so comfortable and the staff very accomadating. I always started the day with a wonderful breakfast on the sunny terrase and as usual I was not disappointed. I really like the personal tuch in the decoration of the rooms and long to go back there soon.

Charming hotel on restaurant lined street. 5 minute walk to the beach. Very very convenient location. Hotel owner was so sweet and so informative. Only downside is that there is no elevator and no internet in the rooms. We had a triple room which was very basic. Had AC. If I were to stay in Nice again, I would stay at Hotel Felix.

The location of this hotel is just perfect. There are a few restaurants and shops around the hotel. The hotel is only about 10 minutes walk to the beach and the old town. The staff members are really friendly. The rooms are a bit dark, but still very nice

We have just returned from the Nice Carnival and a 3 night stay in Hotel Felix. Its a small hotel, our room was lovely, very quaint with a small balcony overlooking the street. The manager and staff were so friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English. The location of this hotel is really perfect for the town or the beach. We would definitely go back here.

The first thing to note if you have read a previous review of this hotel is that the toilet seat in room 4 has been replaced !! and there is not one smell of sewage. The hotel is in an excellent position overlooking a pedestrian only street (but you still get early morning delivery lorries and cleaning lorries) There is a very small balcony to some front facing rooms. 8 August 2006. London. I booked this hotel after checking the reviews. However, as soon as I arrived there I knew the place was wrong, the man on the reception was very unfriendly and rude! he said without even saying hello that they have to put me in another hotel without giving any explanation until I asked. The other guest he said was taking ill and not back from hospital, great start I thought! Stayed at the Hotel Felix for 3 nights in early april 2006. Very good location - near lots of shops and restaurants, not far back from the seafront. Was a mixup with our room when we arrived - had reserved a twin room but was told this was no longer available and were given a double room with no real apology. Staff were pleasant and helpful for the rest of the stay - eg. giving us directions to the train station, holding out luggage for us on the last day. Room was pleasantly clean, good bathroom.

My wife and I just came back from four days in Nice. We stayed at the Hotel Felix, overall our experience was very good. We had a room with a balcony on the first floor, the room was small but clean. The owner Terry treated us very well and was very helpful, he was always asking if he could do anything else for us. Terry and Jean Francois were always around if we had any question. I have taken small groups to france several times.usually i include nice on the itinerary. The hotel felix is my preferred hotel. It has a great location, is clean and has a most friendly staff. The ower, teddy,is a most obliging man. He and his staff go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Breakfast is typically french--croissants bread,butter, jam.
