Grand Hotel Reviews
" We went at the very end of November... "
Submitted By: Mrs T Nadin
We went at the very end of November beginning of December’ 07. It was our second time to Killington so we thought we would experience the ski in/ ski out of The Grand but unfortunately the base beside the hotel was not open the time we were there so we didn't benefit from this facility. Check before you go that all the lodges are open because we were limited to 5 lifts the whole 10 days.
The hotel is lovely, ideally located for the 2 lower lodges. The best aspect was the fitness room, the heated outdoor swimming pool and 2 hot tubs, the steam room and the sauna.
The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable. The only problem is though that if you have rooms above you be prepared to hear their every footstep and with ski boots on, that's pretty noisy.
There is a lovely restaurant near the hotel, Santa Fe which serves a delicious steak; also I would recommend The Garlic for pasta, Caseys Caboose, The Grist Mill for ribs. The wobbly Barn is popular but to be honest you only really need the salad bar as there are soup, salad and bread options and we found that the cost of the entrees were overpriced for what you got.

The bar area was wonderful, open fire and leahter sofas to chill out on. Service was great, swimming pool fantastic, we would definately go back there without hesitation. When you say Killington we say GRAND!
