Holiday Inn Express Dubai Jumeirah

Dubai is seriously short of business hotels, the few there are are expensive for what is on offer by comparison other countries. Brand new so still not holding a liquor licence, rooms a good size but for anyone wanting to walk out the door to activity this hotel is not exactly in the middle of no where but is certainly not immediatyely adjacent, shops or dining opportunities. Due the heat and humidity Dubai is not a walking destination but there are shops about half a mile away. The large public beach is also about 20/30 mins walk away.... more

Stayed here one night in transit. Very new and clean. Rooms and bathrooms not huge but have everything you need. Nice simple breakfast. Walking distance to shops and beach. Cab drivers may have a hard time funding it - make sure you print the map from the hotel website. I do agree with previous reviewers that the 10 percent service charge doesn't seem neccessary, since the hotel doesn't have a bellhop or concierge that would normally warrent this fee. You even put your bags in the storage room yourself! Still, would stay there again.

Stayed here for 6 nights on business having secured an excellent rate online at the hotel's website of just AED 349 & the usual +10% weightings for tax / service which are customary in Dubai. This modern and pristine Holiday Inn Express has comfy, clean, simple but stylish rooms and attentive staff. We stopped in Dubai on our way to India. We stayed at Holiday Inn Express, Jumeirah for 4 days (Jan 15-19). We booked the hotel via the Holiday Inn website and paid $135/day. The hotel was in a quiet neighbor hood away from the traffic but still walkable to the beach(2 blocks away, 10 minute walk). Dubai's bustling areas of Diera, Bur dubai can be reached by a taxi by paying 10 dirhams($4). The hotel was brand new and was very clean. We were given a room on the 6th floor, nice and quiet. At a time when hotels in Dubai are expensive, this was a refreshing change, very similar cost to staying at an Express in the UK.The hotel is brand new and the rooms are pretty much the same as the ones in the UK.Excellent bed and with Air Con and Fridge.Breakfast very good and fresh, as much as you like.Ate in the restaurant on last night and very good food from a limited menu.Jeff the waiter needs special mention, very friendly , helpful and professional.The Hotel is in the Dry Dock area but is a reasonable distance from any tourist... more

This hotel is new near to the beach and Al Dhyiafa road with cafes and restaurants also to Palm strip and Spinney's. They are removing port to built marina there, few buildings around are also being build around. I like this area so I fnd it good location near to Sheikh Zayed road with Emirates towers etc. Hotel is new and its design is nice. Breakfast as at any other Express inn simple but will do.

We arrived early from New York, and we were given a room on the 6th floor, nice and quiet. Staff was wonderful, helpful, polite, and professional. Breakfast was delicious, clean, and I especially want to mention our waiter Jeffrey Rodriguez who was the most outstanding person there. This is a typical Holiday Inn Express, very nice and very clean. The location is not great, but it is within walking distance to several nice shop and restaurants about 2-3 blocks away. My major issue with the hotel is the 10% service charge and the US$26 per day for Internet. When I asked what the service charge was for the response I got was it paid for Housekeeping services. Holiday Inn Express Jumeirah is a good, clean, modern, low cost hotel for a good base in Dubai. Rooms are clean and well equipped. Hotel location - the hotel is centrally located for accessing most of Dubai (by taxi) and not too affected by the truly appalling traffic congestion the city suffers from. one of the best deals I made, a good location for bussiness travellers, also can be good for pleasure, but to reach the beach you'll need a taxi. the seaview isn't what you would expect coz it is in front of the dry dock. the parking basement is very tight, for bad drivers it is better not to park below otherwise you might scrtach the wall. the price is so good for the quality you get. but better to call or to send an email before going to check the prices first, because they are not fixed prices, they go up and down according... more
