Harborside Resort at Atlantis

After staying at the Holiday Inn Sunspree a few months earlier, we came back to try the Bahamas and stayed at the Atlantis. I'll tell you this, the building, scenery and attractions on site are spectacular. But the people who run said building are not. We got an OK deal through the Explorer time share deal we signed up for when we visited while staying at the Sunspree. DO NOT DO THIS. Not worth it. I've been to Paradise Island 4 times and have stayed at Atlantis the last 2 times in 2002 & 2004. In 2002 we stayed in the Coral towers and had a fabulous time. It is the best vacation I've had, mostly due to luck and the resort is breath taking. They offered us a credit voucher for $75 (I think) in exchange for our time and we accepted. They gave us about an hour presentation on their timeshares and although tempting, we refused. I own a timeshare at another very nice location. I traded weeks and stayed at Harborside. It was true paradise. The Atlantis is a beautiful resort with so much to offer. It does not compare to anywhere else I have stayed. The condos at Harborside are very nice but it is the overall experience of the Atlantis that makes the trip so grand. I would definitely recommend this location hands down. You can't possibly have a bad vacation here.

We won an ebay auction for a week at the Harborside, and we got a great deal. I was nervous being a walk away from the main Atlantis hotel, but now I see that every this even within Atlantis is a huge walk. I wasn't planning on using the shuttle, but they run so frequently and I was exhausted after walking around the Atlantis every day. We had a 1-bedroom place on the first floor. We recently stayed at the harborside and found it to be very nice, felt like I was at home, did not want to leave! Wonderful I would recomend it to all. The service was great and all were very helpfull and friendly.

Contrary to some of the review, this was an absolutely fabulous place to stay. One of the most outstanding features was the staff. From a gardener to a maitre d', everyone took the time to meet you and make sure that every need was met- unbelieveable! We stayed at the in one bedroom and loved it. We went to Harborside Oct 23-30. Beautiful Weather. Beautiful Resort. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Food was a bit expensive. We saved tons by bringing our own and also picking up some at the local grocery store. Prices were a little high at the store, but compared to eating out,was worth it. Try to bring as much dry or canned food as you can. Just returned from a trip to Atlantis and stayed at Harborside. I rented a villa through Atlantis for myself, husband, and two teenage boys. The accomodations were roomy and clean. It was quite helpful to have a kitchen there as well. We had maid service every day included in the price. We had the use of all Atlantis facilities and a shuttle bus runs frequently or you can walk over. Also a private pool just for Harborside that was never crowded. This was our second trip to Atlantis and our first to Harborside. We have two small children who absolutely loved the pools, slides, beach and aquariums. Overall, we had a good time, and we'll probably make another visit in the next few years. A few notes: 1.) The rooms at Harborside are much nicer, newer and cleaner than at the Atlantis Resort. First off, when looking over these reviews, make sure you understand that there are some people that are just impossible to please. As long as you know what to expect, Harborside is a once in a lifetime experience that you will be dying to go back for. Accomodations are very very nice, the beds are comfortable, and other than a normal oven (they have a small convection oven/microwave) and a wok, everything that you could possibly need is there.
