Wow! I haven't been away in nearly 5 years and someone had suggested the D.R. I had no expectations at all! I've been to Cuba and Mexico and had wonderful times, but for some strange reason, I never really had any desire to venture to the Dominican. Me and my family booked a last minute deal to Punta Cana, and chose this resort for the 4 1/2 star ratings it received. As time came closer, I couldn't wait to pack and go. Hello. Well we booked Fiesta Palce for a two week stay to get married. We got bumped up to the royal suites. The resort was very nice and the room we had was huge with a 4 person tub on the deck. (the wife would only let the two of us in) The food was good and the only bad thing was the music. The resort had a lot of old people and not much of a night life. If you are not looking to pick up this is the the place to go!

My wife, her parents and I just returned from two weeks in the Dominican where we stayed at the Fiesta Palace. Three simple words sum up our vacation. "We loved it". Here's a quick rundown on things without repeating too much of what other reviewers have said. Well, first off, I am by no means a picky person, but because it was a very special time for my husband and I, our honeymoon, I thought we would get a little pampered. Well, we didn't. Not at all. It was like any other vacation. We had to pay extra for an "oceanview", which you could barely see. Plus our main pool by the lobby was closed down due to renovations. My boyfriend and I left for punta cana Aug 14th and returned the 21st. I'll get straight to it. The hotel is beautiful just absolutely stunning, soooo clean. I didn't see any garbage what so ever. The majority of the tourists speak spanish, german, french, and finally comes english but don't worry!!! I'm 20 and if you're around my age and looking for a great night life, this is not the place to go. Oh My God!! Fiesta Palace is amazing!!! I've been to a lot of resorts but this one is my favorite. It is very clean, the beach is great, food is amazing, the daily activites and nightly entertainment is sooo good. I give props to all the animators, YOU GUYS ROCK LOVE YOU The staff will make your stay as good as it gets!!! Nothing went wrong and there is sooo much stuff to do even if your are not into going out of the hotel property. Arrived at the hotel with 10 other couples, bellhops waiting, rooms ready, and check-in was very speedy. Room contained 2 queen size beds, very large closest space, and huge safety box. Our balcany was spacious with chairs and table, and overlooked superb gardens. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous, sidewalks super clean and covered, beach is outstanding. Initially, allow me to preface this review by stating that I am Spanish. The Fiesta Palace Resort is an immaculate, paradise-like setting with a beautiful beach, spartan yet clean accomodations, good food, and fabulous weather. My fiance and I spent ten days there in mid-July (the height of the continental Spanish holiday season). One word describes the intolerable demeanor of these visitors--haughty. The Resort was fabulous. It is the best resort I ever been in. The food was great. The people are so friendly. The service is amazing. The whole resort is just fun. If you are looking for a place to have fun in, Fiesta Palace Resort is the best place for you.

When we arrived we were told to get back on the bus, that we were being "upgraded" to the sister hotel. No explanation, no apoligies. We were tired and starving from not having a meal on the plane ride from Canada.
