Yup... the secret is warm weather, lots of sun and great skiing (riding for us) in April.
Lift side was simple, but almost perfect.
It was a studio, so not a giant place, but it did have a full kitchen (stove, micro, fridge, etc...)
More importantly, it was great ski season, and the condo’s are all at the base of Peak 9 in Breck, and about 20 yards from Main Street.
Doesn’t get better. Well, it could be free, but other than that :-)
Counted 25 restaurants within about 2 minutes walk, view of mountains, hot tubs and all the normal good stuff. Ski school at the bottom (for my kids, I’ve learned as much as I’m going to, thankuveddymuch).
