Encanto El Faro

The location of El Faro is great; however, I would NOT stay there again. We rented our unit through www.rentalsyourway.com We stayed in El Faro #104 which was advertised as a 3 bedroom, 6 person unit. The unit was extremely small and not at all well equipped for 6 persons. Although the unit had a huge covered patio, there was only a small seating area equipped for 4. My husband, 11 year old daughter and I spent 9 days at this property. We booked our stay with Rockstar Rentals. We could not have had a better condo. The view was incredible and the covered balcony offered great shade in the heat. The condo was beautifully decorated and very spacious. It had a great kitchen and the bedrooms were plenty big. I use this site often...I should write more reviews than I do. But after staying here I owed it too them to write a review. The property is unreal. Beautiful rooms, lot's of options, almost new, and the location can't get any better. But honestly, I am writing this because the staff. My sister and I just returned from our annual "sister's vacation" from the beautiful Encanto El Faro. What a perfect choice we made! We could not have been happier and would return to El Faro's white sandy beach and turquoise ocean in a heart beat. El Faro is a new, private and small complex where all rooms have an ocean view. You can't go wrong with this property. Brand New and all rooms face the Ocean at an angle. Trust Me....There is not a bad room in the entire resort. Pool is awesome and Winky's Bar/Restaurant is connected to resort. Best of all, The town of Playa Del Carmen is right outside the property. This place is in my opinion comparable to Ritz and 4 Seasons with a much bigger room. Marble Bathrooms etc and a Full Kitchen with Granite Countertops!!!! NO BAD THINGS 2 SAY. AWESOME!!!

First of all, the location is amazing! Just a few blocks away from all the action in Playa del Carmen. Theres also lots of resterants around and I never had a bad meal. The hotel is very new so lots of the rooms are not finished yet. We were on the 3rd floor and the elevators were quite the distance to our room. We stayed at Encanto El Faro for eight nights in March 2010 - an amazing deal through Expedia. Although not entirely completed yet, the building is beautiful. Condo was more than we expected - three bedroms consisting of 1 - King bed with ensuite and lots of storage space, 2 single beds in second bedroom with ensuite and third bedroom with bunk beds. We spent 5 nights at El Faro Encanto in February. We had 2 teenagers, one male and one female, and had requested a room with 2 beds. The first night we arrived after 6 and the room had a poor view and 2 queen beds. The second night they gave us the only room with 3 beds, one room off of the ocean, and it was far better. These condos are one block from the center of 5th Ave, far enough away to be quiet but so close to all the restaurants/bars and shopping. Besides the location, the best thing about this place is the beach. The beaches on either side of this one are either full of boats docked for scuba trips or full of seaweed. The beach club is free if you're staying at El Faro, so you have free chairs and umbrellas. First off, this place is brand spanking new. We were given a 2 bedroom even though we reserved a 1 bedroom condo because they had no 1 bedrooms available. The place is clean as can be, spacious and quiet even though it's about a block from all the action. Pool is refreshing and the beach is pretty nice but with sea weed.
