Laid back luxury, happy children & relaxed parents
Cotton Bay provides the best of both worlds - extremely comfortable/spacious self catering accommodation with unobtrusive & attentive service on tap if required. An ideal location for young families with choice of villa pool, resort pool or expansive beach - all in the safe enclosure of the resort. Different dining arangements everyday from self catering to resort restaurants/private chef or nearby Rodney Bay/Castries restaurants. Excursions are smoothly facilitated by resort staff or independent trips easy to arrange in order to sight see... more
Beautiful new complex, fabulous spa, and what a way to relax
If your looking for a secure gated village complex where you can totally relax and unwind then this is for you. We had a three bed town house and it was wonderful. Plenty of space and all the fittings you could ask for. A plunge pool on top of the main pool area, a private hot tub, and just a few yards to the beach as well. And when we had rested and enjoyed the restaurants in cotton bay, we simply popped into Rodney Bay for the restaurants and nightlife as we wanted. With a beautiful gold course right behind the complex as well - what more... more
A Fab Holiday
We had a fab holiday at the Cotton Bay Village, one of the best in years!. We wanted a really flexible holiday where we could have the option of self catering as well as access to a restaurant and this far exceeded our expectations. The apartments are fab, with a lovely eating area outside and the food in the restaurant was great (breakfast, lunch and dinner). We especially loved having an early tea at the restaurant followed by a few drinks on the beach, watching the kite sufers. We travelled with 2 young children and the pool... more
Informal luxury....
Just got back from staying at Cotton Bay Village with my young family and am writing this review straight away as have been seriously impressed with this resort, as travelling with under 5's is never an easy affair and I do feel we got looked after brilliantly. Even though the transfer time to the village is 1'5 hours from the airport, along some seriously windy roads, the private transfer organised by the resort was efficient and comfortable. On arrival we were given an upgrade on our accomodation from a 2 bed apartment to a 3 bed townhouse... more
Cotton Bay!
I have to say that we have just returned from 8 days at Cotton Bay and have come back to re read the previous reviews to see if I agreed, and I don't with some. Horses on the beach, twice a day, were interesting to watch, especially when they swam, but they were no where near the sun beds and in fact could not see that they caused a problem. I nearly didn't book because of them and I am glad I ignored the previous reviews about them being a problem. The accommodation was bigger and better than we had anticipated. The pool was... more
Wow! Cotton Bay Magic!
Having recently stayed in one of the Teracotta houses at the Cotton Bay Village I think I can safely say that my stay was nothing short of magic!! What an idyllic haven for the holiday maker seeking a relaxing yet luxurious break from the fast pace of normal life! Firstly I must say I was hugely impressed with the exterior and interior design of the villas - so far away from the 'block of concrete' feeling you get from hotels and larger resorts. The cottages have such an individual feel about them and it rather feels as though they... more
A True Island Paradise
We stayed at the Cotton Bay Village for the Labor Day Weekend. As others have noted, the property is absolutety stunning. We stayed in a fabulous one bedroom apartment that had all of the comforts of home. Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by their receptionist Colleen, who was extremely gracious and helpful. She assigned Gilbert, one of the resort butlers, to escort us to our apartment. Gilbert also took us on a tour of the property. We have traveled extensively throughout the Carribean and appreciate the importance in... more
The Beach Really Is a Problem
We found the rooms functional and spacious, the kitchen fittings generous, and were surprised the ac was bedrooms only- which made for a sticky return to the villa at night or day. We wanted to emphasize that while the elevated beach cafe is a lovely place for a lunch and the bar for a drink, the beach itself is really less than represented on the website. The broad expanse implied by the cricketers on the website does not exist. The beach is thin, hard, narrow enough that a line of chairs just fits between the greenery and the... more
Loved the Village Feel
For our honeymoon we were looking for a secluded, quiet and relaxing tropical resort. Like everyone else, I read the reviews and had concerns that proved to be unwarranted as Cotton Bay Village was wonderful. “Village” is the right name because it has a small village atmosphere (in stark contrast to the big party resorts with masses of tour groups and planned events). We loved our spacious and nicely decorated suite (with AC in the bedrooms, which was not an easy find). Piano Piano restaurant was excellent for nice dinners & drinks,... more
would recommend without hesitation...
I visited Cotton Bay at the beginning of July and this was my second trip there. The hotel is on the East Coast and so far less busy than the West Coast. This has the advantage of a more relaxed holiday but did mean that you will need to take a taxi into nearby Rodney Bay if you want to eat outside of the resort. There are two restaurants in the resort and three shops. We were travelling with our four children and loved the beach restaurant. We found the food to be superb and the staff very friendly. We also liked the breeze coming... more
